Most cases (not all tho!), the reason why a guy and a lady will be best friends without emotions or sexual exploit is if one or both are totally unattracted to each other. Meanwhile I can tell you for a fact that...attraction grows with time, that unattractive lady today will just gradually start appearing attractive little by little due to proximity and familiarity.

I am more interested in the last part of this write up that speaks to how he was able to mobilise such a multitude of followers. Mobilising people is one of the most difficult things to do in life. So many attributes are needed on a continuous basis. Yes I know that hunger, mis rule and even loss of hope in government are enhancing factors. But I so much believe there are more to it. Especially in terms of the Mobiliser; what draws people to him, how he must continuously wet the appetite of the followers with motivational even if it is brain-washing messages. How he carefully reads their expectations and provide direct and indirect answers to their concerns in speeches. These and many more are key to mobilizing people.

I would like to hear your views on this and you could probably recommend books for me on this.....Cheers brother!!

Talking from a personal experience. If you want to be the leader of your home you must learn to conduct yourself with dignity and self respect.You have to lead by example.
Discussions can be had without raising of voices.If your wife starts to shout,tell her you won't listen till she calms down and addresses you like an adult.I also expect her to do the same to you.That way you both will learn to trust each other and start building your little unit,she will also stop seeing the need to tell every little deed to her family as you will become her best friend and confidante.
