Igbos are so difficult to understand you know. You keep blaming others for a war started by an igbo man. A war that all and sundry begged him not to start, a war that caught the FG unawares because they weren’t interested in it and didn’t do anything until Ojukwu sent men to attack. The only person you should be telling that the war was needless, useless and infantile is Ojukwu that started it. |
Since naa, dis na old news. I dey use regular WhatsApp and business WhatsApp on my phone. Pls tell me more. |
In the end it’s obviously a game of the Powerful and the Conquered. So there are superpowers and there are the conquered. Once you annoy one super power (America), the super power will threaten to ask the other super power (Russia) on the other side to wage war against you, as a means to keep you in check . In the end you’ll realize that there’s no difference between US and Russia, all super powers want the same thing, dominance, submission and colonization, the only difference is in the methodology. Eastern European nations will later on realize that the safest thing to do is to make peace with their Neighbour ((Russia) as running to NATO won’t really give them the protection they desire. |
It is rather an abuse of word to call Peter Obi intelligent. That’s a lie from the pit of hell, even his wife will disagree with you on that. Fucking liar!!! |
Hmmm I can relate with it as a Canadian resident. For my part- time job, see my exchange with one of my clients: Client: Hey Me: Hi, how are you doing? (Not that I really mean to know how’s he’s doing but it’s a form greeting I’ve adopted since I was in pry school as a Nigerian). Client: Oh I’ve been in pain for the past few days, the pain isn’t going down at all. Me: Awww I’m so sorry about that. ( genuinely from my heart). Client: (looking at me shocked), why are you sorry? It’s not your fault, you didn’t put the pain there. Me: Oh well I’m sorry, I’m just used to that. Client: Lol, you just did it again Me: really? I’m sorry Client: Lol Relocation is like being born again, it’s a total new life, you’ll need to learn, relearn and unlearn. I went to a hospital early this morning, Can you imagine no one is even saying good morning to each other? Just a minimum of Hi or Hello. If you dare say good morning, no one answers. Some of them even look shocked when you say good morning, like I don’t understand that. |
1Sharon:Oh so you think or feel relatable to be called a criminal for no reason? Sometimes I wonder how people think, I wonder if you people know these guys opinion go farther than you think? I live in Canada and I’ve met people voice out their incorrect opinion about people, continent, tribe, life based on things they heard on the internet. Do you even know that custom officials and other security agencies gather information like this on the internet? They use it to make judgment about people moving from border to border. I just hope one day Africans would stop misusing internet. |
1Sharon:I agree it is widespread but they should be specific each time. It is wrong of me to put all Africans or Nigerians in convo that involve how my family members treated me. That’s wrong. |
Don’t be stupid, be specific on the country you send money to and kindly tag your family members you’re calling out. It is stupid of you to be calling out a continent and even a whole nation for the irresponsibility of your family members. |
maasoap:We didn’t feel the impact because as at the time, we had enough reserves (dollars in reserve) to cushion the effect. Now the reserves have dried up, there’s no dollar to defend the naira, hence the reason for the fall in naira value and present hardship. But you see, for decades, experts have been telling successive governments that our dependence on crude oil sale and huge importation will one day backfire. Today, crude oil sale has dropped, but we still heavily import, as in Nigeria’s size of annual importation is massive, we import almost everything, and our export is so insignificant. Take for example, an individual whose annual salary is #2.5m but is total annual spending is #25m. That’s the Nigerian situation, your importation size shouldn’t outrageously outweigh your exportation size. China sits as the number 1exporting country in the world, every country in today’s world has Chinese product on their shelves. China’s export size far outweighs its import size, do you know it got so bad that Chinese people started complaining that it was useless for them to go on vacation, because anytime they go shopping while on vacation, all they see around are Chinese products that they left back in China. Nigeria needs to opt its export game, but the truth is, exportation is a reflection of economic activities, economic activity can’t be significantly promoted in a country with huge insecurity and corruption like Nigeria. I rest my case for now. |
maasoap:Did you just say Nigeria is a country where drop in government revenue would not be felt by the people? Lol, you really don’t know what you’re saying. What do you think is the cause of the present free fall in Naira? It is because FG revenue has dropped significantly and do not have sufficient dollar to meet demand. The demand for dollar payments (via our huge importation, international payments, loan servicing etc.) has far outgrown Supply (via revenue that comes majorly from crude oil). If the price of crude oil should magically surge to $200 as it used to be, Nigeria’s revenue would triple and govt would have sufficient fund to meet demand, thereby reducing pressure on Naira. You need to read more on how it works, but I understand your annoyance about a government that has no positive impact on the people. |
tensazangetsu20:People living in Nigeria should brace up for tough times lie ahead. Crude oil price will progressively fall in coming years and that’s a chaotic issue for Nigeria, as earnings would drop further and the country won’t have enough to service debts, pay for importation of goods and even run the government. That will further put pressure on Naira, making it to deep further. May God help us all. |
Another opportunity to illegally and fraudulently use the bank’s funds as they like. It is well with Naija |
Nairaland can’t grow if the owner and moderators allows just any gutter news to hit the front page. This news is false and totally incorrect. Tiwa Savage is worth $17b really? The write must be smoking weed. |
Mr. Accidental discharge Weldone!😂😆 |
It is not that simple bro!!!!!!!!!!😂🤣😆😉 |
Tharealisrael:You are partially right but men too have problems with loving their wives as required. Love is more than flowers, money, gifts and sweet words oh. The best way to make a relationship work is for both parties to concentrate on what they need to do to submit/love their partner as required. Once you focus on what your partner is not doing and neglect paying attention to those things you should be doing, trouble is near. |
For as long as we continue to ignore the word of God on marriage on other issues, some intelligent but limited in knowledge writers will continue to tell us what we need to sustain marriage, they’ll say one thing today, another tomorrow, they’ll write an encyclopedia on what you need to know to have a successful marriage, but the more they do, the more marriages fail, because those writings including the one up here can not and will never help sustain marriage. The only advice that sustains marriage is in the word of God: Husband love your wife, Wives obey your husbands. Any other thing na gibberish. |
One day you people will realize that there are three groups of obidients; the IPOB members, Innocent Igbos and other Nigerians who like PO. However, the last 2 groups are gullible, as they are unaware they are being used by the first group, IPOB members. They are supporting PO because it’s their only way to Aso Rock. They will mock and insult anyone, regardless of ethnic group, including Igbos who don’t believe in PO. |
LordIsaac:Lol, marriage is now purely transactional. |
obesse:Your post is full of assumptions. Mind you, the first on the list of wining your children’s love as a Father, is treating their mum right. Most children won’t forgive a man who treated their mum wrongly regardless. |
obesse:There’s no need to sound bitter about it but I agree it goes both ways. However, note that a woman would easily be taken by her son or daughter at old age but it is more difficult for a man. Anyone can have a bad old age experience I agree but it is more easier for one than the other. In the end, May we not end up with our enemy as spouse. |
Hmmm Men need to be careful, we must treat our wives right cos of old age. The major reason why Joke Silva is still there taking care of him is cos he treated her and the children well. She doesn’t fail to state it, meaning that if the experience was otherwise, she would have left. I’ve heard stories of men who were maltreated by their wives at old age cos of what they had done in their active years. Men must know that the only person that would be there in the end is your wife, so treat her right and pay it forward. |
Ofcourse naa, for selfish reasons. Only a naive coalition movement will make an 80-year old man their candidate. |
This man lacks any cutting edge idea in public governance inspite his youthfulness. He does the bear minimum while sitting on State allocation, LG allocation and security allowance. It’s a shame that these guys are never bothered about the plight of the poor. There’s a lot of initiatives that a State Governor can drive that would bring meaningful economic impact. |
I tell people savings is very easy. If I were in your shoes, this is what I’ll do. Step A: I’ll assume I earn 300k, the truth is if you earn less than that or you lose your job (God forbids it), heaven will not fall, so why not make the decision now for the greater good? Step B: Open an investment account with one of the investment companies (ARM Managers, Piggyvest, Meristem etc), and set up an automated transfer of the 100k into the investment account monthly. Step C: Now, open an excel worksheet, categorize your monthly expenses into MUST BUY, SHOULD BUY and COULD BUY. Step D: Determine the total amount for the MUST BUY, and then spread the remaining amount, if any, on the SHOULD BUY and COULD BUY. Step E: Delete items on the COULD BUY AND SHOULD BUY in that order, those are things that if anyone losses his/her job won’t be able to afford or things that if you don’t buy no one will die. Get rid of them, they are largely nothing but indulgences. I hope you’ll find this useful. I save about 55% of my monthly pay, although not with a family as big as yours for now. But the truth is, my mindset is that the money you save at month end is actually the amount you paid yourself for the work done. The amount consumed is the money you spent for living. Everyone working must learn to pay him or herself. Today, I just decided to place an order for 2 items, as a way to gift myself in the new year. I haven’t done that in a year and I don’t really do that as a habit. This is because savings and investment are priorities. |
This is the story of the life of most people nowadays, you have to regularly renew your love subscription with cash and material gifts or else wives would withdraw their love or support. It is very ridiculous and disheartening as women are becoming crazy. I wish I could say more. The institution called marriage is becoming meaningless by the hour. |
Impregnable101:That thing wey you dey find you go see am. Do quick chase her away and find another lady. We will be here to read about your bitter story in the end. Maybe you never hear say couples living together do loose attraction for each other after years of being together but with patience and perseverance the lack of attraction will reduce. |
I hope our brothers and sisters in UK will just stop this short video madness. Like their behaviour on the internet is disgusting. Many Nigerians I’ve been living in US for long without any post or video on their life over there. We just behave like unexposed people many times. |
SSFeedsNigeria:Stop comparing airports, compare flights! |
Mandate1:Lol, you are making sense but that’s not the way it works. There’s a base amount for each route, however the force of demand determines the marginal amount added to that base price. Check anywhere in the world, any place less travelled will have the cheapest amount compared relatively to places with high traffic, pls note the word relative. I do not mean that places less travelled can’t be expensive, it’s just that places more travelled are more expensive on the average. The truth is, all those flight companies, share the total cost on all passengers in the end, regardless of the route. Travelers must as a group pay for the cost of running flight operations and the base profit expected. Flight business na special business oh, it doesn’t follow the usual formula. Mr. A will pay $1000 for a flight Mr.B paid $200 for and they’ll end up as seat partners on that same flight. Inspite of the high cost of running flight operations to Kano, due to low passenger traffic for example, there’s a ceiling to the price tag you can place on the ticket, Anambra with high traffic will pay for the possible shortage on Kano route. That’s the way it is, the high demand on Anambra route means willingness and capability to pay more while low traffic on Kano route means lack of will and capacity to pay. Like I said at the beginning, THE HIGHER THE DEMAND THE HIGHER THE PRICE!! the very 1st law of demand in elementary economics. |
Chaii Nigerians and their entitlement mentality. That’s how air flight works in every other country. Prices are determined by the forces of demand, 200 people going to Anambra can never pay same amount with 22 people going to Kaduna. Even at that, the first 10 -20 people to buy ticket on a flight to Anambra might pay significantly less than the last 20 -30 people going to Anambra on that same flight. That’s how it is done everywhere. But Nigerians won’t agree, they’ll insult and fight you in their sheer ignorance. |
It is this kind of internal feud you’ll expect the self-acclaimed party leader; Atiku, to mediate and resolve things, but heck no, you only see him around every 4yrs when it’s time to contest for the party’s presidential ticket. Nonsense! Guys wait o, is it only me or general, I was unable to reach Nairaland since Monday until now. It kept saying server was down! |
