17.8 to a dollar, 40.5 to naira. When you arrive OR tambo , change it at the arrival. Be informed , they charge commision.

People usually post it here when they want to buy or sell rands. It's the easiest way to get it right now (esp. into SA accounts). Rates always vary, nha you go negotiate that one.

Yes my agency is based in Johannesburg,I will speak to them about it too.

It’s just that I have model friends that applied there in South Africa over a year ago and still waiting for their visa due to the backlog in South Africa.There are over 56,000 pending applications DHA need to attend to.

I called the sA embassy Abuja,they advised that I should wait ,that it is still under processing,I even suggested going to Abuja and the lady said I shouldnt bother flying down cos I will still get same answer.

Please Does anyone have any contact at the sA embassy in Abuja?

I applied for SA evisa via dha gov za portal since october 2022 then i got a mail from them on 20th feb after close to 4months that my application was rejected because travel date had passed. But it could be reviewed.

Got my evisa today after 1 month of application. My flight is tomorrow. Think twice before you apply for evisa. Good luck everyone

Are you currently in SA cos the content of this email seems like a response to someone in SA who has applied for permit but still waiting. If you applied for renewal of permit, there has been serious delay so they gave them a blanket extension till March 2023. This response has nothing to do with tourist visa or the likes but Permit , most especially for SA residents.

I am sorry i forgot to add that we bear the same surname so my name remain the same from birth only for my NYSC cert that has his other name included when the officials during my NYSC then insist i add one of his name if we are married in order for me to get relocation then.

I am doing a renewal too and I have gone through some pages of this thread to be sure, I show up with all the required documents, but I keep seeing conflicting information.

Another post said it wasn't necessary except for fresh passports. Since mine is renewal at the same center where you did yours, you may be the best person to ask, so please help me.

You will also need to write a letter to the PCO on an A4 paper, request for a renewal of your passport.
