/ Reduction in price of Jet A1? Interpretation: Jet A1 go soon scarce. Watch out. / |
/ Japanese yen reached all time low against US dollars since 1990. Japan is very notorious in interventions and defending their currency when it suits them. But in all, yen keeps falling. I mentioned that Tinubu and Cardoso would fail in their attempt at defending naira with foreign reserves. When I gave the timeline for continued depreciation of naira two weeks ago, a smart Alec came out swinging. How did I know? Simple. But that will be a discussion for another day because it will be a waste of information on many of you ![]() Devaluation of currency favours exporting countries. US always blames China for currency manipulation. Japan is benefitting heavily from the devaluation of yen. What is Nigeria benefitting from naira devaluation? Nigeria doesn't produce anything. Everyone is on buy buy buy mode. Even something as simple as molding blocks, Nigerians won't do it right. When they try to produce, they concentrate in making fake ones like medications and liquor that they cannot export. Nigerian problems are multi-faceted. I don't think there is anything the FG or anyone can do. The National orientation in the last 40 years is built on a faulty and shaky foundation. Most TikTok videos from Nigeria are about dancing and comedy skits--nothing intellectually challenging gets high views. What is the highest export from Nigeria? Online insults--sadly it cannot be monetized. If no be say I be better person, I will say that the country is cursed. / |
cremedelacreme:/ This and other Federal roads should have been prioritized over the superhighway from Lagos to Calabar. But then it is Nigeria we are talking about. They let old things rot away and start building new things that they may never finish just to have avenues for looting. / |
/ Why will the pastor return the Lexus RX330? Stupidity comes with a huge price. Temitope just paid it. It is pointless advising people to stay away from pulpit bandits. It is best they learn the hard way. Experience is always the best teacher. / |
naijaboy756:/ Cipolla's 3rd Law of Stupidity states, "A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or group of people when he or she does not benefit and may even suffer losses." Cipolla calls it the golden law of stupidity. A stupid person, according to the economist, is a person who causes problems for others without any clear benefit for himself. ![]() https://bonpote.com/en/the-5-basic-laws-of-human-stupidity/ / |
/ Once the government comes out with one good news, be prepared for three bad news. When Dangote started announcing the reduction in the cost of diesel, you better believe that it is a matter of time before queues for fuel, kerosene and diesel start reappearing at fuel stations. Scarcity keeps the price elevated. Evil genius!/ |
Timmi:/ Keep making excuses. I told you 2 weeks tops. How did I know? ![]() Currently at N1420. / |
WriterNig:/ Rubbish! I don't see Ukrainian feminists crying marginalization and discrimination. If it must be implemented, it must include both males and females of the same age range. The men should stage a protest. Equal rights. Equal opportunities. / |
Urheadmaster:/ Of course. But when you need funds and military logistics, you go on your knees begging them to delve into your business. / |
flyinnizam:/ The country is heavily import-dependent even to the point of importing toothpicks. So excessive gyration in exchange rates creates panic and outrage. An importer that placed orders on Friday at $1= N1050 will wake up today with $1= N1300. Who knows what it will be by Monday next week? In the most productive time of their lives, an average Nigerian youth is running the street wearing dreads, white socks and sagging with a mobile phone or laptop in tow. Nobody is interested in producing anything. It is all about soft life. The future outlook for the country is very extremely bleak. / |

/ It is all about priority. It is laudable for Nigeria to send men to the moon. But should it be their primary concern at this time? The same goes for the highway irrespective of the funding mechanism. Fix the internal federal highways first. The minister already calculated the sum of his loot and that's his main focus. The best approach to Nigerian issues is indifference. Everything is a joke or comedy to the impoverished masses. So it is always best to let them be. / |
/ I hope Timmi loaded at around N1050 as advised. /

/ EFCC is busy chasing shadows. A country that doesn't produce anything for export except oil (which price is not even under their control). A good start will be to start recovering the billions of naira looted by politicians. Chasing thousands of dollars from FX traders and hundred of dollars stolen by yahoo boys will be like a dot in a big circle (no pun intended) when hundreds of millions of dollars are stored in foreign bank accounts of politicians who regularly get a slap on the wrist when arrested. They borrow for recurrent and capital expenditures. They are busy defending naira with foreign reserves that they are depleting at an alarming rate. What could go wrong? None of this abracadabra is a long-term solution. This is just putting a bandaid over an injury. Once they finally run out of gunpowder, naira will take a serious nosedive. / |
Konquest:/ The best opinion he can get is from the two wives. Three of them should sit down and figure out the best way forward. With this approach, there won't be any room for surprises and denials. / |
TunezMediaTV:/ She never hid the fact that she is a nudist and showcases her nudity online. Her friend that invited her knows. The bridegroom should watch her wife very carefully because birds of a feather...you know. / |
Kipaji:/ Your house, your rules. If you want input from strangers, that means that you are indecisive about your life. You know your wives and what dynamics will work for all of you. What works for a peaceful home may not work for a toxic home. / |
Qwertyuiop1:/ Every other platform is quoting above N1160, check others. / |
danladi02:/ You people give too much credit to "foreign awards" even if given to prop up stooges. I believe that market women in Kogi are in a better position to assess the administration of Yahaya Bello than World Bank. / |
/ What's the big deal? You empower them over yourselves in employment in your country. You provide better security for them in your country than your citizens. You prefer their foreign gods to your ancestral gods in your country. So why cry when they treat you like inconsequential beings that you reduced yourselves? You cannot continually denigrate and sabotage yourselves and expect respect. They don't even respect your law enforcement agencies. You continue treating them as celebrities and they continue treating you as fans. So why complain? / |
/ Sadly that's the only solution to insecurity in Nigeria. Declare them persona non grata in your communities and turn them into endangered species. People know this simple solution but are too cowardly to implement it instead they are wasting time calling on equally compromised security agencies to intervene. / |
/ Good development. By the time they start servicing external debt with 100% revenue, eyes go clear all. / |
ebukajay184:/ There is no way God taught him English language. At best, I will suspect na holy apprentices who are steal fighting with L and R taught him. / |
officialwdhtv:/ So the Chinese rejected him from eating their poison and then he decided to reset his brain and patronize the naturally organic Nigerian food produces. / |
/ That's the job of the government and her agencies---to save her citizens from themselves. It is a state of anarchy when citizens carry on as if the country is on autopilot. Strict laws are the reasons they have very low crime rates in UAE, China, Singapore, Qatar, etc. Do you want to copy human rights of US and UK? Check the crime rate in both nations. In a place like New York and California, shop owners have no right to tackle shoplifters. In some western countries, squatters have rights over landlords. For Nigeria to progress, they must do what UAE and China did to Western world---copy Western technologies and discard Western cultures. But we can't copy their technology. We don't produce pin. We prefer to be in bed with their culture. Then we turn around and wonder what went wrong. / |
ebukajay184:/ The future Governor of Imo State. / |
/ Go and read the original version of the Bible written in Greek. Stop relying on the watered down, lost in translation English version of events. This is assuming that the story told by a third party many decades or centuries after the supposed creation is true. There are too many unanswered questions about creationism. Did God create water? Did God create darkness? Where did Cain's wife come from? If Cain married Avan from the land of Nod, who created the parents and the people of Nod? I believe that if the story in Genesis were an African folklore, most of you would call it a total bullshit. But coming from colonialists, impressionable people hold it as the absolute truth. / |
