Sorry you are wrong.

Mobil would sue Comandclem for forgery if those documents were fake! I do not know the kind of organization you work(ed) for but I am certain any notable and socially responsible firm would take the matter up. Why do you think MTN and the likes keep dissociating themselves from scam sms?
Ask anybody in public relations department of any firm, if they would wait till they are joined as defendants by victims, as you said.

The Presidency and the Minister for Nigerdelta would also wait till they are joined, before taking actions? Sorry, it does not work like that. Trust me, officials of Comandclem would be cooling off in Jail by now, if those documents were fake.

I told you some Top military men (serving and retired) were involved in the negotiation with Mobil. What if I told you T.Y Danjuma was involved?
Dont tell me big companies employ staff to search for their leetterheaded papers in millions of websites any arrest them online for displaying faked logos?
Oh, plus there are hundreds of TY Danjuma's in scam folklore, including the one who appeared in my dreams last night and offered to polish my shoes!

@ tensor 777, at no point did I say I believe in only one portion of the bible. The bible is one and the same and you cannot seperate them.
Back to our koko, your quotation from Ephesians is correct, the only place you will have problem is trying to prove that principaities and power includes juju. Or that spiritual wickednesses in higher places is not the one practised by pedophile clergymen or crooked General overseers diping their hands in the till. Their positions are both high and their acts are wicked and a sabotage on spirituality.
Then again, you will come back and tell me a satan tempted Jesus. And even quote some passages to support that. Well, those bible days are days when God talked to his people directly and satan had not been cast into the abyss, locked out by Jesus.
God exists, and he is quietly watching all our actions. Including those who try to sentence their brethren into a life of fear. Always looking over their shoulder for an imaginary devil who can come and kill them. The ignorant practice of our illiterate ancestors has become a tool in the hands of those seeking to cause fear. They have now succesfully replaced those 'principalities and power' with juju. All those powers are powerless. Show me what you have used your principalities to achieve!

That is an very odd answer since atheism is a negation of faith hence you don't need to know anything about it at all.
Secondly you cannot use your own life experience to ascertain the validity or otherwise of voodoo moreso when you may have not had a lot of life experience.
Maybe I can conjecture from your utterances here that your parents are strong Christians and that thus far whilst you are still under their control their prayers have been protecting you from harm. Why not try living independently for a while before coming here to pontificate and cast aspersions on other people's views?
However you don't have to believe in or take any interest in voodoo. One just needs to be aware of the multifarious devices of the devil.
Its been so long since I laughed this hard, me, still living under my parents control? ROTFLMAO!!!! Thats 20 years ago since I started feeding my parents. On one count though, you are correct. My mum is a strong christian (top female elder in a church) and I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I do need evidence to believe the tricks of people who tell me they can turn red to white, but only verbally. Show me the proof of juju and stop dancing around words. On an atheist thread, talk atheism and if you want to talk faith then visit the religion thread. This is the culture section so lets keep the gist restricted to juju and its existece. Thank you.

@ fyneguy, a company with known addresses, registered in law and has public figures as bosses can scam people very clearly.

A company can upload real documents of Mobil or Coca cola on its website and use same to defraud people and no eyebrows will be raised. Mobil cannot do jack until you sue for your money and add Mobil in the case as joint defendants when you find out you have been duped.

Efcc, police, Icpc and FG cannot act untill they get your petition for fraud. (but you know fyneguy wont petition anybody just yet, he still has his eye on the 236 billa!)

Govt officials can attend any occasion, even my wedding, with enough police, Lastma, FRSC and hungry Lagos crowd. (remember this company, commandclem is regisered) This is not an evidence that it is not a fraud that is happening.

Mobil cannot go after commandclem because a fake mobil document is pasted on their site. Till suckers start to groan and squel.

Commandclem is very much like those wonder banks, do you know why Nospetco was axed? It was because they had no licence empowering them to collect deposits from the general public. Such licence is reserved for banks and other financial institutions. Nospetco was licenced to sell oil and commandclem? Do they have a licence as a financial institution.

Fraudsters know all the rules in navigating the murky waters of litigations. They know where they will be hit from and i bet they have that angle covered. They know which questions suckers will ask and they have the answers, like these coming from fyneguy.
BusinessRe: Mobil Agrees To Pay Commandclem $236.9 Billion (documents Attached) by invisible2(m): 10:19pm On Oct 09, 2010
Those full page adverts commandclem sponsors on newspapers must be hurting their pockets. So this is the solution, a newspaper to identify with his cause, no matter how fraudulent. Suckers will always pay and pay more so they could keep reading about their hopes. We are watching.

@ fyneguy, I dont stay in Lagos but I know a fraud when I see one. In fact, I can smell it two states away! I will not like to accuse you of being a commandclem agent, employed to recruit more depositors because I might be wrong. However I understand the attachment of people to things they strongly believe in. Tell a religious fanatic that he is wrong and you could be stabbed for all your effort. Look more closely at my questions,
Did you sayjudgement has been in favour of commandclem? Wait for the payments. I know there will be reasons, cogent sounding excuses why this imaginary money will not be paid this year. Its very easy to invent stories, all the time waiting for more people to commit money, the more good news, the more depositors.
That paper launch was an attempt at publicity, to give the whole thing a human face, made very 'manageable' to conserve cash since its a side stunt, supporting fight to the main event. This will take very looooong.
This paper will serve a dual purpose, keep you guys busy and hoping while it advertise their patents, making them sell more paper, patents. This man is a 419 guru.
Did you confirm how long commandclem had been on this case, how many years have they collected money from their 'patentees'?
Oh, I dont need 2000 dollars, it cannot feed my dogs for a month.

You need to be very careful as to not give the impression that you're not inadverdently promoting atheism with all this your curious obsession with the foibles and tricks of juju practitioners. lipsrsealed Make no mistake there are evil powers and evil satanic agents. lipsrsealed

Pesonally though, I feel this thread has outlived its usefulness and should be locked.
I dont know much about atheism, and I have not found any reasons to believe on those evil forces of juju since it have not answered my curious questions. All I see are veiled attempts to conceal human follies and explain them away as the something which we can ask no further questions on, because we have been brought up to believe its a brickwall.

What I see from those pictures are evidence of more fraud. The sign on the wall had nothing to do with Commandclem, or they forgot to write it there. The very few persons who graced the occasion doesnt resemble a gathering of people expecting to be paid 239b naira. And lest I forget, where is the picture of the newspaper those guys launched. Btw, that guy reading the adress seems like he can do with some good meals!

Something worries me, the IQ level of Nigerians. If the posts I read here are anything to judge with, then we are on the very last rungs of human cognitive ability. How can someone believe Commandclem for all the wrong reasons.
I am sure they have been collecting this patentee money for the better part of six years.
I am also sure that the number of willing 'mugus' is so long as to be practicably impossible to settle.
How could someone ask me to pay money for a case still going on for the better part of ten years with the expectation of being paid a live royalty 'if the case is won'
have we been the ones paying all other court fees for all the corporate cases being fought out in the courts daily?
What did this man invent for Mobil which nobody had invented before.?
How much in royalties are other oil companies paying to other people like commandclem (somebody developed or invented everything you see in every oil company today)

If a story sounds too good to be true, it usually is. This story is laced with sugar, honey even sacharin sef!

Where on earth could all these have been gotten?
Had this Nigerian worked with govt. or been into politics before?
How has this loot affected oceanic bank staff and depositor?
Is this not really political, considering the jail term?

Oh Lord My God, Please Save this country and give us strength to embrace the truth.
I agree with you, but only to some extent. I think the Ibru woman committed some wrong, albeit with good intentions. What I wont endorse is going after some people because of their way of life, not for the weight of evidence staked against them.
This woman has become too rich for a banker, and in the face of mounting economic ruins and poorer working class, it looks wrong. Back to her offence, all the 25 bank MDs are guilty of that, let all of them be locked up. Justice will be seen to have been done, especially if it is not selective.

Oceanic lost money like Enron.

First Bank lost money the way HSBC (and thousands of other banks) lose money every year.

That is a riddle. Do you understand it?
Would it not be a waste of bandwidth, to try and compare apples and oranges here. Enron, the US are a different kettle of fish altogether. Let us stick to the basics.

The loans that First Bank wrote off, were they awarded to their MD?

Oceanic lost depositors money, First bank lost depositors money and wrote off billions of naira last year. What makes this one a fraud and the First bank case a genuine business decision gone wrong? Just curious, would it not be right to say its because Cecilia owns so much wealth that is the problem here and not losing investors money/giving loans that flopped.

Go and stick your scientific theory  where the sun don’t shine, I watched one of the “most brilliant minds” as they call him  – Stephen Hawking  explain how the world came to be and the whole 3 hours was at best ludicrous in my own opinion. Yes, I am Nigerian. I believe that it is degrading to women. Not everything that is tradition is a good thing. There was once a time when a person would be buried when a chief passed away. That was once tradition but it doesn't necessarily make it ok or appropriate.
Its not about the money, its about the symbolism. Paying the bride price signifies transfer of ownership from the family of birth to the new family. What do you suggest should replace this culture?
