Don't be in a rush, wait for the second part of that conversation coming soon before you make your conclusion, it will be daft to believe that every single Igbo man supports Biafra, majority doesn't mean everybody.
Do you believe everything you say?

Stop sounding daft, if this is the case why is Israel struggling with the Arabs, why didn't they wait for God to fight their battle? remember Jesus was their brother. You could not sound less intelligent, this is borderline.
The Isreali case is completely different, the Arabs are attacking, killing, maiming and tormenting Isrealis every minute. Isreal have every right to struggle for their life. Biafrans are living in their homes, doing their businesses, even causing trouble for themselves.

If there is any division, it exist only in your head, there are no group called IBO and there is only one NDIGBO. If you want to be Onye Igbo, let us know and lets tell you what it takes to be one, instead of faking around the edges.
The major problem is that some people have ideas and cannot afford to take criticisms for it, they want others to blindly hop into line with them and toe their line without asking any questions whatsoever, and anyone who as much as dare sound different will be castigated and labelled a traitor, which makes me wonder about the Biafran army officers that were executed as saboteurs.

Where these people really 'sabo' as it was called in those days or they just sounded different and lost their lives as a result?

Alienating me and accusing me of not being Ibo enough is tantamount to hiding behind a finger! Face the truth.

For the fact that you are refering yourself as IBO proves my point. If someone can't pronounce his own name, what is the point being alive?
You are Ibo
I am Igbo that is the difference.
There's now a difference between Ibo and Igbo?

We even have bigger divisions than I earlier thought.

I am neither exonerating him nor incarcerating him.ALL I AM SAYING IS ,'HE IS ENTITLED TO A FAIR HEARING'.How can you be cheering in ecstasy that an unarmed man is killed?
In incident after incident , the sad picture of a country under siege because of the heartless, desperate and selfish motivated nature of the police FG etc ,the citizenry is always helpless in the state of relentless onslaught as it is repeated with disguisting montony. The FG,POLICE,ARMY should be out to redeem their image ,they are potraying the country in bad light.
God forbid bad thing, supposing an armed robber comes into your house and shoots a member of your family and you come out with a gun and overpowers the killer, will you want to call the police and hand the robber over to them or shoot the robber to avoid more danger to your family?

Its easy to say we should let the man live to face justice because its not our family member that is killed in the violence.

Look at his face as he is smiling and looking triumphant after mass murder, them do well to shoot his criminal head. The army dont want to take chances with this one and meet him on the battle field again.

Your view is uncivilzed, undemocratic, barbaric, inhuman, pariochal, myopic and a remniscent of the oligocene era ,when man first separated from the most advanced form of pirates.
I frown at and condemn in all it entirety the way and manner the police acted.Akinyuli's staement worsened the whole issue.Would you know that yusuf was captured by the army and handed over to the police? He was killed in police custody.
The truth, is that animalistic instinct is still inherent in the police, hence the occassional reversion to barbarism
My views may be barbaric in this incident, but its because of the type of offence these people comitted, its also very barbaric and uncalled for. Hard situations calls for harder punishments, even breaking a few rules to make sure a problem is solved, ther should be no justification for supporting a murderer to continue to breath the air of life that he has denied hundreds of innocent people. The police acted badly, but so did the guy.

hollandis:
Responsible for whose death?Do you know what the principle of natural justice. It says and I quote ''you cannot afford to destroy a man by stigmatising him with allegatory offences, except proven otherwise in a court''
Ogboru was an alleged financier of the civil war, this war caused death ,mayhem, arson on the innocent citizenry.Based on you comments, is there any essence killing him because he was overtly or overtly reponsible for many deaths.
Saddam hussein was captured but before he was sentenced to the hang man's noose ,the American govt thought it wise to take him through the four walls of a court.
If kept alive he (yusuf) could have stirred the hornet nest,he could have ignited a political quagmire.
Now how would his alleged sponsors and financier be exposed?
Are you by any means doubting that he is directly responsible for the death of those murdered? Do we need a court to find this man guilty for what we all know he did? In places where the justice system is anything but transparent, this trial would have gone on for ages and his followers will see him as a symbol and and more blood will be shed.

Of course whenever the chieftains of northern oligarchy want anything done in the colonial contraption called Nigeria that will overwhelmingly fall within their socio-politico-economic interest, they have willing southern dancing partners to take the floor.

Whether it is the so-called One-Nigeria, quota system, Kaduna refinery or moving capital city to the northern region of Nigeria, there are insurmountable numbers of southern Nigerians ready to do the biddings for chieftains of northern oligarchy.

The blame of regressive Nigeria, manifested by actions of northern oligarchy, should partly hinge on the shoulders of moronic southern Nigerians.
very good point, precise.

On friday, Akinyuli expressed her relief at Yusuf's death.During the interview she said yusuf' demise was positive for Nigeria. In quotes she posited that ''What is important is that he (Yusuf) has been taken out of the way,to stop him using people for mayhem.
AKINYULI ALSO PRAISED SECURITY FORCES FOR STOPPING VIOLENCE

Human right campaigners have nsisted that yusuf was executed extra judicially.

Was she right to have made those statements or are the staements a dent on her image has a vibrant and articulate one?
sometimes we should get rid of criminals extra judically, it is wrong but what is right? This man murdered people and should die to quell that type of crime, killing him is light compared to him escaping/ bribing his way through security and hurting more people.
PropertiesLandlords Court; How Do You Manage Your Tenants? by invisible2(op): 11:25pm On Aug 02, 2009
Now you just finished your house and is looking forward to recouping your investment in your house, and you must rent all your house to tenants you dont know before. What are the steps you have to take to make sure you choose the right tenants, the type that will not be causing other tenants unnecessary headache?

Is it advisable to manage issues in the house directly of hand it over to estate managers?

If you find out that one of your tenants is a criminal, do you eject him?

If you find out that one smokes indian hemp, and another is a prostitute?

Do you have to fix their light problems yourself or they have to do it on their own?

If they have poor hygene problems, do you force them to clean up or allow them to wallow in dirt/

should you mediate in a fight between tenants or couples or hand them over to the police?

Lets solve these problems and see what is right or wrong, looking forward to hear from you.
PoliticsRe: Goat Roasted With Tyres Can Cause Madness - Expert by invisible2(m): 11:16pm On Aug 02, 2009
Most places where goat meat is prepared, the butchers usually collect 1 thousand naira or more to prepare the meat and the processes include;

1. kill the goat with a 6 inch stick forcefully inserted into the goats neck, I dont know how they do it but a very healthy goat dies in ten seconds flat! I was shocked. shocked shocked

2  throw fuel on old motor tyres and hoist the goat on an old truck rim, burn the goat till it loses all its hair then cut it open. This happens everyday.

Yes you are right. I remember a story from January 1966 after the first coup. A certain man refused to move to the east after the first wave of massacre in Kano. He was telling his friends who were eagerly moving, "Onye nwulu o je be" (his onitsha dialect) translated- man die go!
His real reason though was that one of his closest friends was a powerful Alhaji in Kano.
And so it happened that when the second wave of killings began, he ran to the Alhaji's house. The Alhaji hid him inside his wives quarters. They were friends! But then came the fateful hour. It happened that someone had seen him run into the Alhaji's house and went to inform the raging mob. When the mob arrived, they asked the Alhaji to produce the "Nyamiri" inside his house and threatened to kill him and burn down his house if he delayed. Well, the Alhaji went inside and dragged his "friend" out and explained to him that he had no choice.
The man was taken outside the city and stoned to death. There are many similar stories all over the north and western Nigeria then.
I really pity any Igbo with aloof parents in Igboland or elsewhere. History is a powerful thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It may save your life!
All the things you said happened, and it happened about 40 years ago in Kano and Katsina. That they killed Igbos is because they acted like any mob will act when instructed by their big men in the army who wanted a revenge for the coup of 1966. All those are supposed to be in the history books, read by our children for rememberance sake.

Note that I said it should be for remembrance sake and not to use it to provoke each other. The perpetrators of those heinous crimes agaist humanity are largely dead, its their children that are still alive today. We preach forgiveness in our churches, so why do we still carry malice for an offence comitted against us 40 years ago.

Vengeance should belong to God, The lord shall fight your battles and you shall hold your peace. A word is enough for the wise.

You could be Igbo, afterall Ukpabi Asika is Igbo too. By the way what is the name of your age group in Igboland?
Writing Igbo is not very convinving, as I have seen an Irishman in London that speaks Igbo very fluent and he was married to our sister for 25 years and learned the language.
Gov Idris from the north speaks Igbo more fluent more than you as he was born and bred in Onitsha, so he can hide behind the internet and write Igo and tell you that he is Igbo. You should do more than scribing a few word on this blog.
I am more Ibo than you, that one is certain as I have never lived anywhere else since my parents born me into this world, I dont have to prove what is true. That I dont share your views about Biafra is no reason to say am not Ibo, two children from the same womb could differ sufficiently. I love to fight those that cause me trouble, not those they told me they cause me trouble.

I love to reply those that talk to me directly, not those they told me they gossip about me, because those that tell me others are talking about me might even be the real enemies I have, and they are only trying to set me up.

Those that tell us we need a second Biafra are probably lying to us because its our brothers that rule us here and rob us blind!

Its our brothers here that cause us the most problems and dont care about us.

Dont look far to know the cause of your problems, look inwards and you will see the truth, the senators, the governors, the ministers, the big business owners have all conspired to render all of us poor and you are here over the internet cursing yourselves all in the name of tribalism?

Anyone who can think like me has no business with poverty, trust me! We have seen all these before: "igbos yorubas every tribe fraternizing dating, marrying, schooling, working, eating, CELEBRATING MORE MONEY THEY MADE all togther." Then, all of a sudden, some poor "patriotic" guy tries to make things really work for everyone, and all hell breaks loose! Suddenly, you find out that the same neighbor who "have been fraternizing" with you is a hidden enemy! He had been secretly coveting your success or perceived success for years. And you'd be lucky to escape with your life and some clothes on your back. For the naive and unlucky ones, well, they lose everything including lives. Anytime I read Major Nzeogwu's coup statements, it feels so eerily familiar. It articulates all that was wrong with Nigeria. All that IS STILL WRONG with Nigeria. Like I said in another thread, people with vast different views of progress should not be forming nations. I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just being real.
If anyone is serious about creating a nation out of that space, let them start creating that nation from the village level and go from there. Let's try to be real for once and stop deceiving ourselves.
In the first place, why do we love to live among those we call our enemies?

I ask again, why cant our people live and work in their home states if they dont enjoy ethnic victimization?

Have any Ibo man been killed by HAUSAS/ YORUBA riots in Onitsha or Owerri?

So do you have "light, water, work, road and other amenities"? Have you taken a look at the top 60-70% of federal positions in Nigeria and do you know they are all manned by northerners? I was only responding to someone who thinks tribalism in Nigeria is a figment of my imagination. Of course I could care less (and I suspect most Igbos would too) about who control things in Nigeria. But we care that they are doing a good job and that they are doing it the best way possible (considering the overwhelming man power in Nigeria).  Soludo deserved a second term and many would agree that if he is a northerner he would have got it. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time with you. You can believe what you want!
Just don't think you are deceiving anyone. Anyone who grew up in Igboland or took Igbo lessons can also speak and write Igbo, it doesn't make them Igbo. Bye!
And you think the poor masses in the north feel the impact, or how much were you paid because your brother was the CBN governor for five years?

These things dont matter much till the will be paying Ibos for using their children as ministers.

Now why don't I believe that? Why can't we get qualified people into sensitive positions in Nigeria? Can you tell me that the best Nigerian technocrats are the ones manning sensitive posts in Nigeria today huh Where are our best? I'll attempt to answer some for you.
Our best are either overseas or have been frustrated at home, and are quietly licking their wounds in their parts of Nigeria. We just replaced a PHD (first class international economist) with a Msc holder in economics with far less pedigree as CBN Governor. That is Nigeria, and it is real. So face it!

It is views like this that irritate me, when has paper qualification become a criteria for selecting national officers or is it because Soludo is from our tribe and so nobody could be better than him? Soludo was excellent as a CBN chief, he achieved a lot but should not be allowed to continue till forever. If Sanusi performs better then so be it, lets just give him the chance to make or mar himself then we can critique him. Every tribe has their own intelligent folks, and I dont care a hoot who is ruling me, hausa, ibibio or swahili! so far as I get light, water, work, road and other amenities.
