Why does Ukraine keep threatening Russia about joining NATO?
Although, I 100% think Ukraine application to join NATO is to check Russia aggression or potential aggression, however, the same act by Ukraine is a security threat to Russia.
In this kinda situation, essentially, everyone is trying to survive.

That's not exactly true.
The Chinese may scold Russia at first, should that happen, but will have to accept and help them mitigate the sanctions at some point, because they have to stick together.
The Chinese are also taking lessons from this Russian invasion cuz it'll come handy when they have a reason to invade Taiwan or Hong Kong.
Bottom line is, they need each other.
If this war escalates further, the Chinese won't be neutral for long.

Lagos-Ibadan happens to be one of the areas he thinks he's done well, and in fairness, I ply the road every week since 2020, I can say the FG alongside their contractors (RCC and Julius Berger) have done well. The road is 80% complete.
The remaining parts are largely the busy areas inside town.
What beats me is how a road as important as that was abandoned for so long.

It does has effect on the overall performance of their economy. However, they've learnt to live with it and adapt. They also have leverage over Europe when it comes to gas and energy export, especially to Germany. So they can only do so much before Russia comes up with their own counter sanctions.
So, the least thing Russia is afraid of is sanctions.
