I did not want the war in the first place because I believed that the war will be too costly for both Ukraine and Russia.
What baffles me is this who or what are the facts that made zelensky to think/believe that a war with Russia will be in the good interests of the Ukraine and it's people

The essence of the meetings was to agree the guarantees on non situation of missile basis in Ukraine. All this planning, while Putin was already planning war.

Anyone that can’t understand this war was planned years ago by Putin is living in fairytale land. What Putin wants is to recreate the USSR. Go read up how pained he is that Gobachev p is agreed to the breakup of Russia and in his view “loss of global power’. He never asked for guarantees that NATO weapons won’t be based in Ukraine. He asked for guarantees Ukraine will NEVER be admitted to NATO.

The Bay of Pigs incident wasn’t about Cuba going into alliance with the USSR. That existed well before and after the crises. It was about the siting of weapons. America has no right to invade a country ( or anyone other) for their ideological leanings. Wrong is wrong

Oh gosh! Wake up! Europe has made it clear they will never build missile basis or whatever in Ukraine. Go read it up. Putin is asking for guarantees Ukraine will Never join NATO. These are two different things son!

Russia (or any country for that matter) cannot determine affiliations of a sovereign nation!

These countries you mentioned had national threatening problems within themselves before U S led NATO intervened which obviously a lot of people didn't like, what problems did Ukraine have within themselves that putin is invading now? Your hatred for the West is making you not be fair in your judgement and compare different situations with Ukraine. And remember, it's people that are dying not animals

You are very right. What Putin is doing now is just the beginning, if he succeeds in taking over Ukraine, he will advance to other countries around and other big countries will be encouraged to do that to smaller countries in future. This is a threat to the sovereignty of countries in the future. The same people supporting him will cry if the same thing comes to their countries. Its like saying that previous colonial countries should go and recolonize those countries again. No country is perfect but the imperfections should not be on human rights and killing of innocent people.

Cuba wanted the same with Russia but America refused to allow Russia have a base in CUBA nor have any alliance with them. So why is NATO looking for war? Why can't they allow Ukraine honour the minsk agreement to stay neutral?
