That's why I said you only based your advice on if the guy hurt her, you didn't really give any "prescription" if the converse was the case or if the guy hadn't hurt her in anyway.. Even if loving yourself is the best way of getting over loving someone else.. I think loving one's self shouldn't just be a function of getting over someone else... It should be a default setting.. Sincerely, the girl is already gone and even if by any means you happen to get her back, which is not even going to happen in gazillion years, you would or may still be hunted by her time with the 34 year old dude.. So really, it may hurt but you just have to move on... Move on and pursue yourself... Pursue making it big time..

I've always opined that A MAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LOVE, ROMANCE, or DATING IF HE DOESN'T HAVE MONEY(a steady stream of tangible income). You're just 23,there's still so much ahead of you to achieve... Ignore the thought that you won't find anyone like her again.. Trust me you would, even better.. This girl is just 18,her personality is still going through transitions, her likes and tastes are still very much flexible... How are you sure that she would still want to be with you at age 25.

1.Not do all these things, yet still desire the guy under the different headings

2. Would do all these things yet without any intention to date, straff or marry the guy.

It's left for a guy to be discerning and sensitive enough to the unique nature, temperament and personality of every girl he meets.

I think there are just too many key details that you've left us without.. I'm not going to ask you though, because when someone did you gave a rather evasive reply...

That said.. If what you feel for this guy is real love.. And you're sure you have tangible reasons for wanting to fall out of it instead of nurturing it... There's a generic solution for that... "TIME" and "DISTANCE".. give yourself time and the love would gradually subside, particularly because you're not feeding it with elements like calling him, texting him etc, because whatever you don't feed would die.. It may take time.. But it would still eventually die.

Ladies and this type of trumped up self motivation advices... Really, this would not work... In the first place you don't even know why she wants to stop loving him, you only addressed it on the basis of if he hurt her, what if he didn't, what if he's the sweetest thing since pounded yam and oha... Maybe she's loving the guy from a distance and the guy doesn't even have the faintest whiff of her existence..
