probability is that the cd you're installing from is partly bad. Try installing from another sp2 cd and see if it helps.

Men,

I've been using the Norton products and its been cool for me, right now am using the Norton 360 but i heard some say Norton sucks and that Kaspersky Internet security is better off, guyz you know what?

When i installed it, everything went fine, not until i noticed that it takes AGES to complete its scanning, am not exaggerating but it took the whole day to scan 189,214 files on my Intel Celeron M, 1.73 GHz laptop. I even had to pause it cause my battery was low and was about to go out, i continued when i came back and it was still taking ages.

I just don't know if its just me or something, its ok than Norton in the aspect that it boots fasters but how come it identifies Autorun.inf as a virus.??

thats what we do here, We thank the Lord.

you can do that by getting a router or a hub. With the hub you can connect not just one system, all you need to is get a network cable for the systems to be connected, connect the system that has the internet connection to be shared in the first port, you can decide to put all systems in the same workgroup.

But make sure that the ip addresses of the systems correspond so they can see each other.

The .rar files are files that are achieved (compressed in order to make the size lesser and packed together) and can only be open using WinRar archiever.

Read up to see where i have uploaded one.

The Microsoft Encarta is quite a large file, its as large as 4.0GB in size and downloading from the internet is something else. I'll advice you take the DVD in which the software is contained in to a friends system that can read it and perhaps copy it to an external drive and read it from your system.

Or Better still, you network the two system and read from the other guys system drive.
