Encountered such, but after i got my Norton 2007 Scan my sys, the problem has remained history.

Get a Norton 2007, it gives you all you can think of.

Hibernate is cool but remember it uses the hard-disk space to store the current status of your pc. The default hard-disk size allocated to hibernating is 256MB and leaving it for that much time might complicate issues.

I would advice you hibernate if you're still going to use the system the same day or not more than 24 hours ( even though say na computer the thing be, pity am small).

I stand to be corrected anyway.

you can get more than that at any good computer shop, go window shopping.

get a good antivirus to save your system.

you can get the essential drivers of your laptop by checking the cdevice manager.

This can be done by:

Right-clicking My computer
Select Properties
Hardware
Device manager


there you'll find the devices of your system, note that where you find a yellow "question mark" that device requires a driver update or there's no driver found for that device and therefor you'll have to provide one for it, either from the laptop manucfacturers website or from the laptop cd.

if you installed the WinRar achiver i uploaded for you the other time, you wont have problem opening any file with .zip.

Check if you have installed it proper and select all file types during installation.

The software i provided for you earlier was supposed to be for hostspot (wireless other known as wifi) but it works for LAN, i dont know bout dial-up, all i know is that there's barely a software that could change an ip using dial-up connection. Any changes that may arise in ip change on dial-up will obstruct its connection.

So take note.

you didn't mention if the system ever gets to boot .

If it does, get a better antivirus and run a thorough scan on it and i believe that would do the trick.

Did you check if the videos and the pictures were stored in the memory card and not phone memory??

Check that, after which you can check the gallery setting to see where it gets its source from.
