Politics › Re: Igbos In Akwaibom: Lessons Learned by irrefragable: 4:58am On Oct 06, 2019 |
selemempe: The need for Biafra cannot be over emphasized. First of all, Nigeria is the only country in the world with three major tribes and a 50/50 Christian and Muslim population. That is our major bane and has made national cohesion and integration impossible till tomorrow. Infant, Nigeria is the only country without a national culture or ideology.
However, the call for Biafra has made the Igbos seem weak in the midst of our close neighbours and allies the south south. Everyday we see someone claiming south south, opening a thread and either dissociating their tribe from Biafra or starting an insult against Igbos because of the believe of pro one Nigerians that without south south Biafra is dead.
Is that true? Let's look at the map of Nigeria again https://d2071andvip0wj.cloudfront.net/styles/image_medium/s3/component/image/nigeria-biafra-map-3dec15.png?itok=vFwPplnn The south east is surrounded by Nigeria on all sides but it can stand as a country on its own. Estwatini is doing great inside south Africa
https://www.countryreports.org/cdn_image/exW_1200/images/maps/en/wz/wz-area.gif
Estwatini is doing better in terms of quality of life and infrastructure than Nigeria. South east has a port in Onitsha and assess to river in Abia. There is oil and gas in Anambra, imo and Abia. There is still coal in Enugu.
If going forward, the south south folks refuse to unite with us who has never done anything against their interest then we must cut them lose or forget about Biafra. Afonjas or no Afonjas, truth is that the South south has not done enough to show they are friends of the Igbos. Enemies can only sow the seed of discord where the ground is fertile. After backing GEJ in 2015 and being hated by the north for it, did it stop Asari Dokubo from calling Igbo ijaw slavé?
How long do we keep lying to ourselves about the reality of our relationship with the south south? What have we ever gained from these people? The civil war was caused by a south south man, but it was us in the south east that paid for it. The abandoned property saga was not done anywhere else except the south south.
We accept the ibibios in Abia but the ibibios will not accept and respect the Igbos in Akwaibom. We accept the Igala in Anambra but they won't accept the Igbos in kogi or Benue. We accept the cross river tribes in ebonyi, but the cross riverians will not accept the Igbos in cross river.
How long do we play big brother to rude people? The south south should either start acting like dependable allies of Igbos or get cut off. Right now the Igbos seem not to have allies, better that than a fake ally who gives nothing but takes everything, including our dignity.
We must not live in a bubble. Reality is real. What we are doing is focusing on getting Biafra first. Forget about if SS joins or not. When Biafra is achieved, they might decide to join not. For now we need to include them in the map to coax them into being an ally, because if we don't, they might join the enemies fighting against our Biafran dream. We would rather have them as an ally or being neutral than an enemy; we already have enough enemies from the west to the north. There's still a likelihood that when we get Biafra they would key in; but whether they join or not, we are still capable of being great. The point I'm trying to make is "SS joining or not shouldn't be an issue for now. Getting Biafra should" |

thebosstrevor: Nigerians always say they are one of the smartest people in the world, they boast and beat their chest that they are so intelligent and smart and nobody can beat a Nigerian, but then again with all these bragging, Nigeria is not developed and cant boast of a middle class
My question to you Nigerian Folks, if Nigerians are one of the smartest in the world, why isnt Nigeria developed? pls do not mention bad government, i am tired of hearing that. Bro, you've been lied to. We've all been lied to. Nigerians are not smart. About 10% could lay claim to smartness but the 90%.... And the stupid ones keep ruling, being voted for by more stupid ones. |

There is no derogatory name you people will not call the lady just because she is Yoruba. No be you guys again? I doff my hat!! I don't have the time to yab anybody. The guy I quoted wanted to know something and I stated the facts as it is to him. If he wants to join in taunting the Igbos or if decides to stay with the truth, it's now left to him. I don't try to taunt any tribe even when I see an opportunity, I just believe we are not supposed to be in the same country because if the hate that's why I support secession. |

gidgiddy: Is there any time you heard that Boko Haram were out on the streets protesting for referendum to solve their grievance?
So it Is the job of the federal government to go about shooting unarmed people because government does not like what they are agitating for? Kanu is not experimenting with anyone's life, it is government killing unarmed people
You are not ashamed that you are defending Herdsmen that have killed thousands of people this year alone. They went to Agatu, Benue state, and killed over 500 people in 2016. Few months ago, they went to a Church in Benue, killed 17 people including 2 reverend father's. But your headache is that Kanu talked in an uncouth way
We are back to "Kanu talked". I don't care what Kanu said or didn't say, many others are out there killing people which is far much worse than talking. What I care about is about is referendum so that my fellow Igbos can decide their destiny. Guy, You are so wise. May God grant you more wisdom. |

Oblang: What is bad in switching allegiance. If I support u nw and decide not to support u because based on my rating u didn't do well, how is that a problem. Must one be a blind supporter? there is no problem in switching allegiance; its just that when you are screaming praises of someone and within a space of two weeks you started castigating that person , it follows that either you were never sincere in your praises or you are only castigating that person for your own selfish interest. Either way it only shows that you are a traitor, a hypocrite and a back stabber; just like we all know your tribesmen. |
