PoliticsRe: Biafra Vs Arewa Face Off: The Five Major Issues We Must Not Fail To Understand by irrefragable: 8:10pm On Jun 14, 2017
Mujtahida:
Seriously there's absolutely nothing stupid about what I wrote except that you totally misunderstood me. You see something ehn I like to think broadly. I am no tribalist. It's not in my blood. I don't know how to think that way. If you penetrate to the depths of what I wrote you'd see that all I am saying is let's understand others. You have spoken about your culture. Fine. Excellent accommodating culture. But another man's culture is not like that. For now all you can do is to understand it and know how to adjust yourself to it. The non indigene who has stayed in your village and yet decides to kill what you guys hold as sacred is not wise. That you guys can be so gracious is a testament to your sense of sympathetic understanding and broad- mindedness . But another man's culture has not gotten to that level yet where he would place human life above the teetotal demands of his religion. So what would you as a wise man do? Would you just say ohhhhhh this is my country, I have every right and then you'd go drink in such a way as to be utterly disrespectful of their religion, a religion that forbids drinking and regards it as a crime? Particularly during their fasting? Mind you I am not saying non-Muslims in the North should not drink but they should be wise about it. Those who have stayed in the North including your Igbo brothers (that's if you are Igbo) know better.

And do not rest your case on the constitution. Arid legality creates problems if not applied with sense. I know what I am saying. All I am saying is understand others, understand others. Am I a Biafran? No! Do I understand the undercurrents driving the clamour? Yes(even if not fully). Would it be wise for me in view of how emotional, fanatical and religiously fired you guys get over this issue for me to go into Ipob areas and on the basis of freedom of speech start telling them that Biafra would not work, that it is doomed? By the time you hear the story of my death at the hands of ipob you won't say ooohh I was exercising my right. You'd most probably, with so much good feeling, say good for that Ndi Ara, that Ewu Gambia. I might have stood on the law but I'd be dead. Too late.

Just this weekend I read a very interesting interview Azikiwe gave in the seventies. He said after he had gotten Ojukwu to convince at least four heads of state to bring up the Biafran issue to be discussed by the OAU so as to get Gowon to come to the round table, at the OAU Awolowo raised the objection based on INTERNATIONAL LAW (and Azikiwe in that interview conceded that Awolowo was right) that OAU charter does not permit OAU to delve into the internal Affairs of member states and that was how that opportunity to save lives was destroyed on the altar of Legal puritanism. Here's the link to that interview https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/my-role-in-the-civil-war-by-zik/119382.html

So yes on the constitution you are right but common sense demands that knowing the kind of people you are dealing with you'd be wise to comport yourself in a way that would not constitute an affront to their religious sensibilities. And then drink and enjoy your beer.

In court we lawyers have the right to speak yet seniors at the bar would tell young hot heads 'know your judge'. My brother know your host biko. Cheers
perfect! Perfect!! Perfect!!!
It's their culture to kill those who kill those who disrespect their culture so I should learn to live with it. Fine.
What if I tell you it's in my culture not to share a country with people whose culture does not accommodate erring strangers?
Remember that was my bone of contention with you earlier because you chided that guy for applying the same logic when he said it is better for us to be of different nationalities so when our citizens gets killed for disrespecting their culture, we will understand that it is coming from a different country.

So what say you about that, bro?

And please reread your post the one i first quoted to understand where I am coming from.

It's easy these days to just insult people. What is more difficult is to not insult, to show restrain, to go above the baseness of the mass mind. I have been in the mud of e-wars and I am going clean and not even you can bring me down to that level any more. Cheers.
I didn't insult you that's why i said '' you sound stupid '' not you are stupid. Sometimes when people say awkward things it's good to point out how stupid what they just said sounds. It's not an insult.
You were wrong in that argument and you even have to ask the guy how old he is and how he sounded immature.
To me that's all bullshit, no offence intended.

Clueless people
remove you? I don't understand. I'm only saying when the time comes your territory won't be mapped out as part of Biafra. You already share ancestry with the Yorùbás.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Vs Arewa Face Off: The Five Major Issues We Must Not Fail To Understand by irrefragable: 4:13pm On Jun 14, 2017
Mujtahida:
Why is it so difficult for people to understand things. So in other words when you have Biafra you will respect their culture there because you are foreigners and they are foreigners to you? As in while you cannot respect (according to you because of the constitution) the culture in the North as Igbo Nigerians, you will respect it as Biafrans in the North of Nigeria when Biafra becomes a reality? Constitution? Don't you have commonsense? This is your logic: Nigerians should not respect the culture of other Nigerians because we are all Nigerians but foreigners should respect the culture of all Nigerians because they are foreigners.

I am shaking my head. No wonder we are in this mess. Please how old are you-no vex-cos I like to interact with matured minds. I am shocked at your logic.
guy why are you sounding so stupid? A country that calls itself one so a citizen can't drink because he is in a region where they fast or he will get killed? Is it part of the Constitution? So any Muslim that finds himself in my region and eats or drink during lent, i am free to kill him?
Bros no vex,, but you sound so stupid. In my land in Anambra state we don't kill pythons. If an indigene kills a Python he'll face the music from the community but if it happens to be a stranger he'll be let off the hook because HE IS NOT AN INDIGENE.
If you have to kill a fellow citizen from another region because he went against a law of your land then that alone is enough for you guys to be of different countries. You are killing him because he disrespected your culture, do you know the culture of the land he came from?
Please stop sounding stupid.

Itsekiri ogbeni and we don't speak igbo.
don't worry itsekiri, urhobo won't be part of Biafra when the time comes. You guys are similar to the Yorubas. So don't worry yourself, the current map of Biafra is only a proposed map: nothing concrete yet.

For the IBOs that are reasonable I think they should make their stance public, and I think this is the route this dude is taking.

It does not do the IBO nation good if they all are coming across as hateful and silly kids.

Some Ibos I know are ok upstairs, and they would need to show that they believe in Nigeria.

Btw, how do secessionists think Nigeria would divide along? Foolish thinking.
you are being stupid, do you know that? So what qualifies an igbo man as responsible is agreeing to the parasitic structure of 'one nigeria'? So only people that agrees to your selfish desires desires are wise?
Stpp being stupid, bro.
PoliticsRe: The Igbos Are Under Siege In Their Country By Mike Ozekhome by irrefragable: 5:42pm On Jun 11, 2017
wirinet:
The problem i have with you guys is that you guys are too emotional. Instead of making your demands clear and unambiguous and use diplomatic, political and other legal means to air your grievances and how to achieve your demands, you guys resort to complaining, insults and sometimes outright threats. The south east have 5 governors, 15 Senators and 60 House of rep members, have you guys made your grievances known to them? Have you made official complaints to both the Federal and State Governments on the so called siege on the south east? Have you guys held protest complaining of the excess military and police presence in the South East?

You guys always accuse others of hating on you guys, but it is you guys that throws the most insults on social media, it is you guys that involve other people who are not interested in your agitations. You guys call minority tribes in the Nigerdelta slaves, you insult Bini people, you call Yorubas all sorts of names, you call Northerners cows, and all sorts of unprintable names, and you are here talking about others hating.
afonja, see the way you stylishly pitted us against our brothers in the Niger delta. When did we call them slaves or insult the binis?
That's our problem with you guys: DECEIT. you guys are worse than the devil himself.

Let there be peace in our nation.long live Nigeria.
