Sorry. I see you changed the heading. That's not a Catholic priest. A Catholic priest never puts on a cross chain.

We know you guys went to sew a soutan for him so he can appear to be a Catholic priest.

Shame on you.

You guys can lie for Africa ehn!

That's why your Biafra will always remain Beerfraud.

I can't believe this nonsense came from your lips. Igbos are plain dubious, it's their biology so this shit you're talking about, really, doesn't make sense to anyone. We all know the average igbo is a thief. This is a hard fact worldwide! Who are the drug peddlers? The one igbo person I had the misfortune of getting close to stole my money. This good for nothing bastard sim-swapped me and with my card digits stole an amount she'll never have the grace of making in her life again. What do you say about that?
bro, you still don't get it. I'm not saying there is no thief among igbos: there are thieves in all tribes. And about the drug peddling, yes, igbos rule there no doubt.

I'm saying i could stay with both a drug peddler and a thief because I already know who they are but you never know your stand with a treacherous person. One moment you are in agreement, the other moment he's denying both of you ever had an agreement just because he's seen one selfish advantage that he could use over you.

And this is not just a case of one person in a tribe, that treachery seems to be a part of the Yoruba DNA. It's not just me saying it, just ask people around they will confirm.

Most times when you are having a deal with an average yoruba, he on the other hand will be scheming on his own selfish benefit ahead of the mutual benefit.

And lastly remember i didn't post this comment to ridicule your tribe. The OP asked why the hatred for yorubas and I gave him one(reason) of them. There are others I could have given but it would seem as if I'm trying to start a tribal war so i gave just one.

Do have a nice day ahead.

I'm really sorry you had to go through that. But am sure if we were all to write down ugly experiences from other tribes, this thread wouldnt end and will result in a full blown war. Saying yorubas are treacherous or don't care about building trust is stereotypical anf based only on your dealings with two yoruba guys. Its equivalent as me saying all Igbos are drug pushers because of those who get caught or saying all hausas are terrorists.
it's not based on just those two guys I've had dealings with you guys a lot, it's mostly the same. And a lot of people from different tribes complain about same thing so it's not just the igbo vs yoruba thingy.

I could deal with a drug pusher or a terrorist, at least you know who you are dealing with not someone who will be all nice in your presence and turn around the moment you are not watching.

very funny yet you and your kinsmen troop to the sw on daily basis for survival. Who's deceiving who? By the way, it's puked (past tense). You're welcome.
bro, nobody likes a cunning person. Nobody in the world does. I tell you some people prefer to stay with a savage animal than someone who can't keep to his /her word.

Recently i was a victim again of this yoruba treachery. After making agreement with these two yoruba guys they turned around the last minute. I was left to lick my wounds alone. Funny enough i told myself before the deal that something like that might happen when i learnt their tribes but I decided to give them the benefit of doubt : i came out a loser.

Words are contracts even if not written. The moment you give your word on anything the other party begins to strategize his plans based on your word. If you renege on your word at the last minute the other party might lose money time and effort.

You yorubas don't care about building trust, you only care about your selfish cheating interests that's why you are not known to keep to your words.

Most of you people clamoring Biafra don't know what it takes to run a country. If eventually biafra is actualized, the same people who ran Nigeria to the gutters will do the same to Biafra.
Take for instance, the defeat of PDP in the last presidential election saw most politicians decamping from PDP to APC... The same people who killed PDP!

In Nigeria hunger is used to control the minds of the people and it is working effectively. Why else do you think most of these politicians use food and money to campaign.

The other day on nairaland, I saw a group of hungry people who are Igbos doing the #i stand with Buhari rally to support the president. Do you think they are not Igbos? They are Igbos in flesh and blood but the same tool was used (the hunger strategy)

I have just asked you.. why do you want your own country? what are the reasons? and u didn't even bring forth an answer..why are you agitating? why are you protesting for your country?..
bro, you need to realize I'm only proffering solutions to the problems highlighted by your thread.

Also i wonder how you could manage to still ask that question when the Internet abounds with videos of Unarmed Biafran protesters who were shot in cold blood.
But nevertheless i will still give you a few reasons to your question.

irrefragable :
First and foremost a lot of developments will come to my land as a result of the infrastructures that will be built in my country eg airports, seaports etc
Secondly all appointments will be on merits, no longer quota system where someone who is not deserving of a job gets selected because of federal character
Third i get to secure my land and borders against fulani herdsmen invasion.
Fourth i get to practice a system of government where every region controls their resources not a system where some are being spoon - fed from the sweat of others.
Fifth i get to share my country with people of like minds. Sometimes when i get to hear of people marrying ten year-olds or killing in the name of one bloody religion, i ask myself how come i to be of the same nation with such as these.
Sixth i get to say the 3million Biafrans who died didn't be for nothing. to
how
Seventh i get to tell the northerners with their born to rule mentality and dreams of spreading islam and dipping the quran in the Atlantic to go to hell.
Anyway
Eight i get to stay away from tribalism and the hate i get from yorubas and hausas daily in Nigeria.
Ninth i get to tell lord lugard and his British rogues that's they can't determine my fate.

brother it's a catch 22 situation. Yorubas would be the first to open a thread that denigrates the igbos or when they see a thread that does so, the first twenty comments would be them doing the hate-thing. But that is by the side now, we are talking of how to end the tribalistic talk. Support referendum so we can all go our separate ways.

do you realize tagging a section of this country as Nigerians is an insult to them?

Do you also realize that telling them to help move the so-called country forward is a higher insult?

Do you still realize that telling them not to hate a country that killed it's people for agitating for self-determination is the highest insult?

Please if you really want to campaign against hate and tribalism, you should start by campaigning for a referendum. When everybody goes their different ways the hate and tribalism will stop. You can only cure an ailment by starting from the root cause.

Very good reasons. But being a nigerian wont stop u from achieving 80% of wat u wrote there.
1. We can build and develop our land d day igbos decide tomorrow bring their investments home and not helping others develop their lands.
2.most persons under ur state were appointed either by urself na votes or ur governor. So wat makes u think dat if u dnt curb corruption in ur state now u will curb it wit biafra
3. Fayose is securing his own state, wat makes all Igbo governors not to secure theirs, wat happened to local vigilantes, remember bakassi was abolished by d governor and not president. So right now we can secure our land
4.No comment
5. Wats ur business with an hausa man who chooses to live in illiteracy. How does it affect u?
How does d insults yorubas give u affect ur life? Does it prevent u from propspering?

I want biafra to come, but not by d IPOB approach.
We will be serious d day we decide dat no election will take place in our land. No government, no legislation, wen our politicians leave d nigerian positions and come home.
But for touts and keke napep riders plus kanu who doesnt know d meaning of diplomacy to champion d course it will not work
brother i must first say sorry i didn't reply earlier, I've not logged in for a few days now. Nevertheless I still need to put you straight on some of your surmission here.

For your number one. Igbos will not bring their businesses home, only the actualization of Biafra will force there to do so. Reason is there is no federal presence in the south east like airport, seaport and good roads to encourage establishing businesses there and you need to realize that successive Nigerian governments kept it that way so igbos would flock to other region, develop it and forget Biafra. As I'm talking to you more igbo youths who are potential entrepreneurs are migrating out of Southeast in search of favourable regions because the region has been kept Barren by the government.

For your number two. I wasn't talking About state level, i was talking about federal level.

For your number three. The herdsmen are being backed by the nigerian army. The incident that happened at enugu proved that. After an invasion by the herdsmen the locals gave chase but they were intercepted by the nigerian army who came out from nowhere and started arresting them. The news was on nairaland front page back then.

For your number five. How would you feel when the international community classifies you and a boko haram or the blood thirsty northerners who would kill at the slightest whim as having the same subhuman animalistic savage tendencies just because you share the same nationality. We Biafrans need to differentiate ourselves from them.

If you have any objections to what i just posted feel free to mention me. Besides IPOB is pulling out all stops and as they are the only one we have now fighting for us we have to support them. Feel free to send your ideas to them if you have a better idea, they will welcome it. And forget about the igbo leaders, politicians have always been known to be self-centered and greedy from time immemorial, but expect them to start changing sides when the agitation begins to make headway.

i quite understand. You also need to know that no ethnic group asked to be lumped together with the others in the first place.

The Northerners were the first to agitate for a secession even before you guys thought of Biafra.

Nobody is going to GIVE you a referendum, at least not in this country.

Let me tell you something bro, even if Buhari wanted to give you a referendum, he could never because as the president of Nigeria, he swore to uphold the UNITY of this nation.

The Igbos can have their Biafra if only they can be smart about it.

Locate and form a quiet alliance with those powerful Northern elements who actually want their own Islamic caliphate in the North.

If there are none, sell that idea to them.

There are lots of ways you could go about this that will exclude violence and loss of life.

Yorubas will never stand in your way of exiting this country.

You cant take it by force and dont wait for someone to hand it to you. Aint never going to work that way.
so we are still coming back to the logic and sensibility of having those kids do a rally in Biafran colours. First we agitate then protest, then have our kids know that the Biafran identity is something they must wear with pride even in the face of oppression. Then getting the attention of the world, then civil disobedience . Then anything that might naturally follow even if it means war.

All in all it's all in the grand plan of achieving Biafra. We are already mapping out our strategy and it's falling into place little by little.

why dont you wait until you realize biafra, then you can march them through all the streets of biafra.

There is nowhere called biafra, no country called biafra.

You carry a nigerian passport.

Your kids are nigerians.

You all live in nigeria.

Your states in the southeast collect monthly allocation from the FG of Nigeria.

You are duly represented at the National Assembly in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

Biafra as of this moment that i am typing doesnt exist anywhere on the surface of this planet.

The UN has no records of any country called Biafra.

No embassies anywhere, no recognition from any country anywhere in the world.

And until all those facts change, you and your kids will remain Nigerians.

I hope that is clear enough.
but we have protested get killed, get arrested yet nobody is talking about giving us a referendum. So does that mean I should wait till eternity before I start flying the colours of where i truly belong. Besides there was never a time in history where i accepted to be lumped together with strangers as Nigerians.

Are you a parent yet?

Because i can't imagine organizing my kids to carry placards in demonstration for the actualization of a Yoruba republic.

Where i hail from, we don't expose our kids to such hazardous activities. We dont poison their minds against others.

Do you think those kids are on the road by their own will?

Do you think they understand the import of what they are doing?

Do you think they can READ what is written on their placards?

Adults marched on the streets, nothing happened except violence, why not leave your kids in school where they belong?

But like you said, they are your kids, it is your biafra, hence it's probably none of my business.

If you think your kids can help you actualize biafra, all well and good.

Im not against you having your biafra. As long as you go about it the peaceful way.

All the best with your biafra.

First maybe I need to explain my first paragraph better. All I'm trying to say is if the parents of a child is a Biafran supporter the child becomes a Biafran supporter reflecting the wants of the parents at least for that period of childhood just the Way a child is meant to be a Muslim or Christian if the parents are one. With this i think I've answered your first, second and third paragraph.

For your fourth paragraph where you talk about corpses of kid: so you support the killing of Unarmed protesters and would also support the killing of protesting kids just because they are Biafrans? Do i need any more proof why i should get a separate country from the likes of you?

On your fifth paragraph : so if boko haram kills people as a terrorist organization the nigerian army should also kill protesting Biafrans as a what? Terrorist organization or government organization? And who is to be labeled with the word HATE here?

For your sixth paragraph: you misunderstood me. My use of the word parents and elder brothers there mean relatives.

For your last paragraph: you also misunderstood me: what i meant is if you will hail those kids as being patriotic to the nigerian nation if you see them putting on green and white, why don't you hail them as being patriotic to the Biafran nation when they put on Biafran colours. Why can't you accept that people have opinions different from yours and must be respected.

All this noise you're making, just because I asked you a simple question?

You aren't bright, are you?

Give your phone to your younger brother maybe he'll have better luck with my question.

Did these children organize the rally themselves or they were put up to it by their parents and teachers?

Encouraging children from a tender age to disregard state authority and to break the law is a terrible crime and a grave sin against God their Creator.

So whoever put those kids up to that should be arrested.

I won't be surprised If you're one of them.

Is this How you want to build your Biafra?

Laying the foundation stones at the expense of your children's innocence?
What if their parents put them up to it? As kids we are a reflection of what our parents want. Do you see kids going to school in the morning and wonder if their parents put them up to it or they woke up one day and went to register themselves in school? I bet you are yoruba Muslim because your parents are yoruba Muslims too.

You talk of disregarding state authority. Why can't you guys see that these people want a different country from you guys and a different state authority that will be agreeable to their way of life which they will not disregard. Why can't you respect their opinion?

You ask if that's how they want to build their Biafra. How is it supposed to be your business the way they intend to build their Biafra? They are building their Biafra the way it suits them not the way it will suit you...

You say they are planting hate in the minds of the children. Let me ask you: between a people who wants to leave a country and a people who forces them to remain there even killing them in the process who is displaying hate...

You say these kids don't know what they are rallying for. Let me ask you: do you think after arresting and killing their parents and elder brothers in this same city over a peaceful protest this same kids would be so dumb to support a system that oppresses their relatives....

If these kids had been putting on green white green would you have blamed their parents for putting them up to it or hail them as been patriotic....

.... Please let's cure ourselves of hypocrisy. It really helps

You even threatened to beat her up if you met her in real life. Lawd!

You even said you don't mind going to jail for beating her up so mercilessly Goodness me! Imagine the intensity of the hate you confess....

It's obvious you've been an observer here and just had something to say. But you don't go about things the way you just did.

Mister, you are WRONG!!!!

This is not taking sides because something leads to something. Goodness me!

You read when she typed, "I am the resident trash talker" around here. Why didn't that tell you something? She even played sarcasm on herself.... And in that post she was calling you to order not insulting you.

Now, you have allowed your "hate for her" make you say things I know you would not wanna say because from your first comments on this thread, you said you don't like to argue much coz it would likely lead to insults (that was your first wrong assumption directed at my moniker).

Now you don't like to argue... Why didn't you just stick to that code of yours knowing that going against it will make you say all that you just said.

HONESTLY, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHEN YOU SAID THEM. I was shocked on seeing Safarigirl's comments and decided to read the comments she quoted and behold I saw the "reason"

Mister Irrefragable.... Your Opinions are welcome BUT don't expect most of them not to be debated. smiley

Your words to Safarigirl reminds me of my experience late last year (on this same thread) when someone also said he hates me. Like seriously, why would you guys allow hate occupy a part of your heart for someone you have never met and probably will never meet?

Don't you know when you hate someone, you are surrendering control of part of your emotions to that person? **smh**

This is wrong.... And you know it.

Safarigirl.... Please... I understand your reactions... But please... Let it all go. Please....
i was surprised when i logged in nairaland early this morning to see 5 mentions all directing back to this thread. Although i understand 'irrefragable' is a word and people use it all the time but I think as regards this issue it should be dropped.

I've moved on after the incidence putting everything behind me leaving the thread in the process and i think everyone should move on and forget something like this ever happened

The incidence really cast me in a bad light like I'm a bad tempered person waiting for the slightest chance to erupt which I'm not.

I understand you have a family thing going on here and family protects their own right? But i still think you should put a chiding word across to that lady.

I've been on nairaland for close to a decade mainly as a guest (though I've used a few monikers now and then) and I'm telling you i know that username. She is rude. She attacks people for no reason not just in sports section, other sections too.

A chastising word in her direction would do her a world of good so she isn't tempted to say thrash to the wrong guy in the streets someday and get her comeuppance.

And please I REALLY REALLY WISH my attention will not be drawn back to this thread by way of mentions. For the sake of God, if possible please substitute the word 'irrefragable' for 'irrefutable' they both mean the same thing.

BTW thumbs up guys, great analysis.

Goke7:
The truth is fellows from the SS and the SE are not too particular about development especially infrastructure in their region. Their own form of development is about cash in hand. Its in regions like SW we use infrastructure development as a yardstick to rate performance of leaders.

When the Niger delta leaders met with PMB to sort how the Niger delta crisis can be addressed, the demands of the Niger delta leaders were ownership of oil wells and awards of contracts to Niger deltans to end the crisis. That is how they think, 'egbere' Jonathan was their darling because he shared the money in terms of frivolous contracts and funds allocations whether legal or not.

You think south easterners especially their leaders truly bother about the roads in their regions, abeg think again, no amount of road construction in the SE will make them change their mind about PMB. He is simply not doing what their hero the azikiwe of their time did in terms of splashing the cash and they will have none of that.
you are a big fool. Why are afonjas so foolish?
