Op.

You are a big liar.

As of October 2015, Nigeria's external debt stood at around $10b.
In FACT, $8b to $10 had been the average since 2008, long before Jonathan became president.

Therefore, Jonathan did not increase Nigeria's external debt by any significant amount.

It is on record that the current minister of finance is using Nigeria's very low DEBT to GDP ratio as a justification for seeking more external loans this year.

In your lopsided analysis, selective amnesia didn't allow you mention that OBJ inherited a Nigeria that had completely collapsed economically and politically.

He inherited a mere $3b in reserves and $38b in debt and oil price in the teens.
How did he and NOI do the magic?

Buhari inherited $30b reserves, $10b external debt and he is sulking and whining like a spoilt brat.

Be man enough to call incompetence and failure what it is: INCOMPETENCE and FAILURE.

All of you should go and hide in shame.

Don't compare yourselves with others because we are not running the same economy , the level of development is different from each other, the rate of poverty is deeper in nigeria than many countries you posted, the level of joblessness is high in nigeria compare to those countries you posted . Now compare this average nigerian feed on 1dollar per day? 1 dollar can you imagine that? So please don't compare us with any one.
You took the word out of my mouth. Poverty is deeper in this country may God help the populace.

You are a complete moro.n and economic illiterate. For your information, you dunce, the Nigerian economy is Africa's largest BY FAR, and it has ABSOLUTELY ZILCH to do with the standard of infrastructure in South Africa. If we are to measure the size of economies by infrastructure, then UAE or Kuwait would easily be the world's largest economies. But India and Pakistan are larger economies than UAE or Kuwait by any measurement, even though you will see levels of deprivation in the former that can never be seen in the latter. USE YOUR dull BRAIN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE. NITWIT who found himself in South Africa and can't control himself. ''Largest economy'' does not mean ''most advanced'' or ''most developed'', or ''best infrastructure''. It means LARGEST ECONOMY, QED. IGNORANT DULLARDS DROWNING IN INFERIORITY COMPLEX.

Fuel Scarcity Conundrum: Mistakes of Yesteryears -
1.Saudi Arabia with a population of 26m has 16 functional refineries, to commission another 2 of 400,000 barrel each per day capacity in 2016
2. The U.S State of California alone has 26, Texas has 19 refineries
3. Whereas Singapore with a population of 5.6million people has 3 refineries with combine refining capacity 1.3m bp/d;
4. Nigeria has 3 or 4 (non functional refineries) built in the 70s & early 80s...now obsolete...16 years of oil boom we didn't add even ONE.
5. We did not invest in our downstream sector, but handed out importation licenses to cronies & acolytes. Today we are paying the price
6. We are paying the price of our past profligacy, irresponsibility in governance and blind leadership.
8. For instance, Egbin power plant was valued at $1.2 billion. A German electricity company bidded but GEJ sold it to Sahara Energy at $470m.
9. Sahara had no previous records on power plant aside importation of petrol but we handed them our LARGEST thermal plant..
10. Easier to cry today but whatever problems we see today was created yesterday with the active connivance of all of us...
11. Active connivance in the sense that we all kept quiet & looked away... Our day just dey break?
12. I am not exonerating the FG of blame, but laying the facts as they are... While you have the right to be angry, pls be angry with sense.
13. Change will come but it will not come overnight... A lot of mess was made either out of omission or commission, change will take a while
14. I am laying these facts out and I challenge anybody with contrary facts to bring it.
15. I am doing this because I feel the pain and agony we are going thru and I feel the collective hurt but we must understand why we are here.
16. I pray that the present FG will have the courage and conviction to right so many of the ills of the past. Our future depends on it.
17. May Nigeria be great again & may our collective suffering spur us to a greater sense of true nationhood. Nigeria shall rise again!!!
God bless us!

Start a Barber shop biz.
Rent a shop of not more than 60k annually
Buy paints and hire a painter to paint the shop
Buy sterilizer of about 9k
Buy 3clippers of about 1,600 each for a start, that's 4,800
Buy 3plastic chairs of 1k each for customers and a one of 4k (a more stronger type) for the customer that will be barbing
Buy and mount a mirror of not more than 10k
You can start with generator( I pass my neighbour) of about 6k fairly used, get it from gen repairers shop.
Then hire a Barber, negotiate on a weekly pay from the Barber while you relax.
Not that easy as u thought bro.
PoliticsRe: Just-In:Video Claims Attack On Shiite Hussainiyyah Before Road Block, Unprovoked by irumanle(m): 6:54am On Dec 17, 2015
olapluto:
A few inferences from the videos going around:
1. The Shias were not peaceful. They clearly refused pacifications by the Nigerian army spokesman (who risked his life in approaching them).
2. The Nigerian army DID NOT set out on that day to kill Shias.
3. The video released by the Shia on this post is even exonerating the army. The soldiers can be seen guarding the road in order to let the COAS pass.
4. The attack on the Hussainiya is being investigated by the army.
5. The death of people is very sad and unfortunate. We can only pray for the families grieving
6. It will be very hard to nail the Nigerian army on the cross, with the videos released so far...unfortunately.

Moving forward, Shias should stop blocking roads and constituting a law unto themselves. This entails all religious sects too (including RCCG on Lagos-Ibadan expressway).
Mr Zakzaky should henceforth reign on his followers to respect the Nigerian law. If they are not comfortable with the Nigerian law vis a vis Shia practices, I suggest they should all apply for Iranian visas and citizenship.
May God bless you my brother.

To my iPod brothers and sisters, I mean you guys from the other side of the river blaming the NA for everything; for the record, I'm a muslim. I was in Kada city on Sunday planning resumption for academic activities in one of the reputable institutions in Zaria the day next when the media broke the tragic incident. To some of us who in one time or the other have passed through this Islamic movement headquarter, we can all conclude that this sect has more than sufficient acres of land to left and to the right enough for whatsoever they want to do rather than disturbing other people's peace. PoliticsRe: #Buharigate: The President Is Also A #Yam Eater! by irumanle(m): 8:59pm On Dec 15, 2015
There is no gainsaying that not many have been too happy with the clampdown on corruption by the Buhari regime. The Nigerian society by nature is structured to be sustained by corruption. A society where a big man uncle pays for the school fees of his nieces and nephews, or an aunty in the corridors of power ensures that her village kin are employed into juicy federal agencies and parastatals.
Infact, anyone who finds himself in a position of power or authority is expected to abuse such office for the benefit of friend and family. Failure to provide such benefit to those who feel entitled to its rewards, result in a vast and potent character assassination of the office holder, as someone who does not care about his people / wants to chop alone and die alone / or too foolish to make himself useful to his community whose turn it is to benefit as other communities have in the past.
The conclusion to my prologue is that the Nigerian society naturally thrives by corruption.
Now to the main matter.
It is not a new tale that the immediate past president of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan, had campaigned in Enugu with the now infamous words:
"How much did Jim Nwobodo stole that Buhari regime jailed him? Money not enough to buy a Peugeot. Is that good enough?"
Nigerian Youths from the state Nwobodo pillaged to the tune of $5.1M answered, NO!
It is therefore no surprise that since the Dasuki episode started, lots of Nigerians have been making excuses for the numerous accused personalities involved.
Some have even said the government should provide jobs and build infrastructure instead of trying to recoup the funds that can accomplish their wishes.
This is because if given the chance, most of these voices of absurd reasoning would have even done worse than the accused suspects, hence the camaraderie and esprit de corps.
So when news filtered in that President Buhari was also a recipient of car gifts from the accused NSA, it was celebration galore for a lot of folks who for the first time in their corrupt lives truly felt threatened that corruption would cease as a way of life.
Many who were silent while accusations with facts on the arms embezzlement were the trending topics on social media, have finally found their voice in hopes that the President would become hindered by his own involvement.
These people are not a bit concerned about Dasuki or Dokpesi. Their major concern is that a way of life they have known and have thrived with does not become obscured by a President who is pretending not to be a fellow corrupt Nigerian - a situation they find appalling. Yet they are the first to close before end of official business to attend a weekday religious programme.
Many have built houses with government sand and cement meant for housing contracts they supervised. Many have sent kids to high brow schools on the retirement benefits or allowances of ignorant subordinates who had to withdraw their kids even from cheap public schools. Many have wasted manhours just to collect a token sum for a job that is their statutory responsibility.
However, their joy is to be short lived and their new found happiness would return to sorrow. They have read headlines and come to their hasty conclusions without facts. They have chosen to readily forget that the ONSA has its statutory functions apart from buying weapons, which I even understand the previous NSA usurped from the ministry of defence and our military forces.
They have deliberately avoided asking themselves certain salient questions, so I now do so in their stead.
Is it within the ambit of Dasuki's office to replace vehicles or provide security for past head of states? If it is, then why the mischievous uproar?
Are such expenditures covered by the legal budget of the office of the NSA? If so, why the surprise?
Did Dasuki at anytime claim it was monies budgeted for arms that he used to carry out the other statutory functions of his office? If he did, then Dasuki should be made to even account for how the actual funds budgeted for such statutory functions were expended, such that he has to misapply funds collected for special tasks on tasks that are statutorily binding on his office.
Sai Buhari! Kindly continue the witch-hunting. Too many witches to be rid of in our society.

Hypocrisy is when a leader of a religious sect, tells his people to marry 9 years old kids, while he keeps his own children to come of age(ripe age) for one big man to marry, I only pity the poor, the rules are made for them(poor)

When our leaders(religious) ask us to sleep with our 9 years old children, let's tell them to bring their 9 years old kids out first. They should practice what they preach, see them taking selfie without their hijab, but they go about flogging other people's children. Common sense before religion.
