"Sportsbet" Is now rampant in Nigeria. millions of Naira are traded and lost everyday. I'm not saying it is bad to play (its a matter of choice) , however , I believe its getting out of hand and nobody is monitoring the business.


in the past few months I've noticed that underaged children now play Sports bet . in the area where I live children as young as 10 - 16 now engage in Sportsbet without the knowledge of their parents.


In the rules it is stated clearly that only 18+ can play , however , some betting kiosks still allow this young children to play. imagine , at Jss 2,, a student has already started gambling. he will be a core gambler before he even reaches ss3.


I want to use this medium to call on the federal government (or whoever is in charge) to monitor the activities of this Bookies so that the future of our young ones will not be destroyed. Once addicted , Gambling is very hard to stop.
