Appreciate the Thumbs up but private tutor is not an option as despite the school being a unity school the work load is damn too much with a pay that is above minimum wage with just 10% though with accommodation - (4 Maths classes with @least 3 Computer classes). I submitted CV in some few private school inside the Kano Metropolis and even did interview for some but there was no response till now. Somebody assisted me to secure a Montessori school inside town some times back but I turned down the opportunity in the name of "I will soon leave Kano - Everybody @ home is worried about my staying there ." I called the person just last term but he said the opportunity has been taken by somebody else.
A minus is that my school is far from the town. So when you are in; it takes a pressing issue to enter the town.

I have little or no experience as am still a novice in this house. I finished my NYSC early last year (Batch A) with one of the unity school in Kano state. After the service I applied to be taken as a temporary teacher pending when I will get better things instead of going back to sit @ home. Ever since then I have being following this thread to see if I can get better offer closer to home. School has resume but am yet to go back: My level of inertia is always HIGH whenever resumption occurs.
I really appreciate the ogas in the house for their efforts so far.

Am writing in KD but will be coming from Kano. No idea about the test yet. Just hoping for the best.

I just check my mail now and my center is Kaduna. Anybody with insight about their questions. Hopefully I will be coming from Kano.

@op thanks for the info. I didn't apply earlier this year. But I have just finish applying now. Waiting for the online assessment.

it seems there are no chevener in the house OR is it that most are not informed? When I searched for this thread I was hoping to see a bubbling thread not a static one. Nevertheless thanks for initiating the thread. Though am hoping to be a chevener for next academic year.

I submitted my CVs around my vicinity and was called for aptitude test. After writing the test we did the micro teaching stuff. Truly, I really don't like that part but I was able to buy some composure.

I have been following this thread for a while now. I have taken note of most comments and I have acted by submitting CV in the schools around me.

You can register on your own online with their website, you will select a center nearer to you and you will pick from the available date. They have their own test representative in the country.
For firsthand info I think @chrisviral will be ready to assist.

@chrisviral Thanks. But for that of UBC I can't find the link on their page as it says the link for graduate will be available in September.

I also confirm that of South Africa ( Uni of Pretoria). It seems to have been opened since Aug 1st but will end Sept 30.

Your opinions have been NOTED. Am just trying to give it a long shot since I know I can't afford to write any of the exams for now. However my search is still wide open as am already writing my essays for chevening scholarship also.

with regards to the MSU for postgraduate, it seems part of their requirements is language proficiency test and GRE. I have mailed my prospective department with the hope that I can apply without both. Am yet to really understand that of Berkeley.
