ogb5: Son it is a pity you think this way.
Look again at the highlighted part of your post. If you vote Buhari because his terrorist supporters are killing people what will happen if between 2015 and 2019 the south south folks decide to continually bomb away all the oil installations and force the nation into economic crisis. You will vote a south south man then in 2019 to stop the bombing?
What now happens if between 2019 and 2023 with a south south man in power, due to your vote, the North now resume the killing and the south west decide to add their own flavour by closing down all the banks continously asking for their son to be president? who will you vote for in 2023?
Say no to terrorism, Say no to Blackmail, Say No to Buhari
A terrorist can never get my vote So,Boko Haram is bombing so they can install GMB as President? Or, is this story transforming into how the Jan.'66 coup was carried out so that Mr.Awolowo could be installed as President, or what stories do you have for us this time? |

Primary amongst these phrases are: "They should condemn Boko Haram" "The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know" "APC and PDP are the same ...so let's vote PDP" "GEJ is younger" Think up any idiotic phrase you can imagine, and it's usually an excuse to not come out openly and say "I will never vote Buhari because even though he's obviously the better choice, but he's a Muslim and a Northerner---and I hate both Muslims and Northerners". |

manny4life: Open another thread for that.
My opinion: the mayhem that has befallen the north is sad, in fact, words cannot express the tragic events including loss of lives the north have experienced. Nonetheless, the north brought upon itself the destruction that's engulfing it. Our people say "he who brings ant infested woods invites lizards into his home". I feel bad as to what's going on and I pray daily that God will intervene but security starts at home. I do not like SLS but I commend him for finally speaking out against BH, although I had initially thought he supported them. I may be wrong, but we need everyone to condemn this heinous acts of terrorism committed by BH. Question: is the north is willing to join the train? First you (clearly pretentiously) start by saying the carnage in the North is regrettable. Then, you end by blaming the victims of the bombings for "not condemning" it or "not condemning enough" (depending on how one interprets your last statement). Anyway, no surprises since you've always said worse about your Northern compatriots. |

eleojo23: It is amusing that many people think that one man will just come and fix this country with some magic touch. Our problems have accumulated and it's going to take years and a lot of hard work to solve them. These problems have been caused partly by the leaders and to a large extent by the citizens themselves. We want someone who will come and fight corruption when we are not ready to leave our corrupt ways behind and embrace honesty. Everyone claims to have the fear of God but corruption is rife. Nigeria will only be fixed when the citizens are ready to cooperate with the government. We all must change our values to promote right over wrong.
Until we realize that nation building is not the work of the president alone, we will keep waiting for the 'messiah' and I tell you, it's going to be a very long wait. Wow, and 43 people actually clicked "Like" for this? You want the country to change but instead of blaming the Government --- which is the body responsible for law and order--- you turn around and point fingers at the ordinary citizens for not policing and prosecuting themselves. If Government doesn't lead, citizens won't follow. End of story! And this Govt has shown that it is unwilling to lead in the fight against the scourge called corruption. |

Dereformer: The governor of Niger state called Amaechi (during the nPDP saga) and told him to beware of Tinubu (who at that time promised Amaechi VP position in APC).
Aliyu's point then was that Tinubu is well known for reneging on agreement once his interest is served.
Amechi being who he is, already saw himself as the VP of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He was blindfolded, used and dumped( like a harlot) by the same people that encouraged him to fight the Federal Govt.
Ever wonder why he has suddenly become reticent and downcast recently.
Well, such is life. History is replete with men who were betrayed by their closest friends. Julius caesar was murdered by his friend and confidant Brutus.
Amaechi has been deceived by those he fought for against his own region and against his own people. He remains the biggest loser ever in Nigeria political history.
Will he swallow his pride and return to the national party, the PDP? I doubt.
Presently, his is being pacified with a promise of key ministerial position in APC.
As usual, he will fall for this and continue to dance surugede without realizing that surugede is the dance of the spirits. Can't be as bad as GEJ that released N8.3Billion to be distributed at APC primaries to ensure Buhari didn't win. |

cigwegbe: Nigerians are like the Isrealites in the Bible. The Isrealites(Nigerians) were passing through tough times in Egypt(Military rule). They prayed and asked for God's intervention, God answered their prayers and sent Moses (Goodluck Jonathan) to them. As Moses was leading them through through the wilderness, they encountered the Red Sea, hunger and scarcity of water(hardship). Instead of nigerians to seek God's face for a way where there seems to be no way, they asked Moses to take them back to Egypt(Buhari). I can assure you that Nigerians will spend the next 40yrs in the wilderness, until the generation involved is wiped off, if they insist on returning to Egypt. Let him/her who has an ear, hear! OCTOBER 15, 2014 BY SAMUEL AWOYINFA, ABEOKUTA 39 Comments A national leader and former chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, has said President Goodluck Jonathan is marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments in the country.
He also pointed out that the president had not hidden his disdain for Yoruba leaders, who have any views contrary to his own.
Akande said this on Wednesday at the inaugural lecture of the Dauda Adegbenro Foundation, in honour of the late Chief Dauda Adegbenro, a former Premier of the Western Region, in Abeokuta.
Akande, who was the chairman on the occasion, in his speech titled, ‘Adegbenro fought against impunity’, noted that no administration had disrespected the Yoruba nation like Jonathan’s.
Unlike the late politician and statesman, Akande noted that the current administration at the centre promoted impunity and imposed unwanted leaders on the people.
Tracing the history of imposition of unwanted leaders on the people by the Federal Government to early 60s, which he said led to the ‘Operation We tie‘ crisis in the Western Region, Akande said the nation needed politicians in the mould of Adegbenro to fight the emerging impunity in governance.
He said, “We are back in similar era of using the regime of impunity in Jonathan’s Federal Government to impose unwanted individuals as leaders in each of the states of Yoruba land.
“It will not be an overstatement to say therefore, that we now require many more Dauda Adegbenros to lead Yoruba’s protest against Jonathan’s regime’s impunity once again in Yorubaland.”
“Apart from marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments of his government, Jonathan’s trait has always been to persecute the Yoruba leaders, whom he perceived to have contrary views to his own.” Dude, just answer his question. |
