Just a little clarification please. Does this apply to a PR travelling to Lagos with two stops in Europe? in this case, stopover in Paris and Amsterdam?
so long as you are using a Nigerian passport to travel through the two airports , you will need a transit visa
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by ITABABE: 10:32am On Jun 26, 2019
Don't know who might need this but I got better rates at the bureau de change in Ontario than at the bank for my dollar. I mean those ones on the street not the ones in the malls.

Guys does flying through London with British airways require one to have a transit British visa like it is in the US?
No it doesn't but if you land in Heathrow and your flight to Canada from there is from Gatwick then you need a transit visa . So check your itinerary properly. Landing in London Heathrow and departing from London Gatwick requires a transit visa

You can't use CIMA gotten through MRA or RMA to convert to CPA.. it's stated there on the website that you must have sat and passed the whole CIMA papers.

Anyway, since you've mailed them, they'll give you the response...cheers
. I know someone who wrote only the case study with CIMA (ICAN MRA) and converted to CPA but what is not clear is if all provinces accept this. I am still trying to confirm for Ontario

Good morning people.

I plan to land with my children (husband unaccompanying); what documents will be requested at the airport(s). I hear there are a couple of questions that could be asked too.

Anyone knows, I would appreciate answers. Thank you
are you the principal applicant. If yes then no issues. Your husband can land later before his visa expires or not as it relates to your family situation. Your coprs, goods to follow(if any) and your passports are all you need and then of course the address where your pr cards will be sent to.

Hello all,
I landed a couple of days ago on klm. Food was okay. The A.C in the flight from Lag to Amsterdam was killing. It was like our spirits were being subdued to submission smiley . Anyway food was okay. Got to Toronto on a Sunday. I declared food and money above 10k dollars. I had no goods to follow form. I don't have energy for shipping. Filled a form for the money but food was not checked. SIN could not be done on Sunday as they are closed but we were able to do that the next day at a Service Canada office. Staying at an Airbnb for now, opened an account with RBC. We changed some of our dollars at the bureau de change as their rates were better than the bank. Ermmmmn, I think that's it. smiley

Good day everyone
Been following this thread ever since I got my PPR a few weeks ago.

It has been a very very looooong read from page 1 and it's well worth it.
Thanks to @Salford blackbuddy bsbabe maternal glittering star et al., God bless you plenty.

I'm presently on page 405 but had to interrupt my read to ask a question. I'm in a bit of a predicament and I hope someone here can advise me.

My passport was transmitted to vfs Accra on the 15th of this month, however I received news on Monday that I was successful in a conference travel Grant I applied for.
The thing is, the conference will be taking place in Austria and I have about 2weeks to submit my application for a Visa as the conference starts on the 2nd week of November.

What could I possibly do now,? My CIC account has not been approved and so my passport is no where near coming back to me.
Do I write to AVO to withdraw my passport temporarily? and what implications could doing this have on my application?

Has anyone here been I a similar situation or know someone who has. Please, somebody help.

Thanks
I may not be an expert on this but withdrawing your passport "temporarily" does not seem like an option. Even your ppr letter tells you that if you don't submit passport within 15 or 30 days, your app will be rejected. If I were you , I would just let go of the Austria jeje except if it's really more important than your pr

So I know I have to do this now . Many of you might not know my "moniker" but I have been in this race since 2016.All my mates here in Nairaland have all landed sef. Now I want you to look at my timeline carefully and note the year.

IELTS: January 2016-9 8.5 7.5 7
ITA: April something can't remember 2017
AOR: may 25 2017
MP: July 1 2017
IP2 : August 1 or 3 2017

Then Silence....................................................................................................................................................We entered 2018

Ordered GCMS Feb 2018. No flags notes. Mails said application was still under processing. Wrote Prime Minister sef . Same story. Then Silence again..............................,,,,,,........................................................................................................................................ I had to stop commenting on Nairaland as I neither belonged to this thread nor did I belong to the threAd of those who had already landed . I was sha in between

An update came late August for another set of Medicals as the one previously done had expired. We finally got a date in October.

Let's just say PPR landed this morning, Oct 16th 2018;10 days after the second Medicals and 17 months after AOR. Thank you to @glitteringstar and @chinne4Jesus for still checking on me from time to time.

Keep the support on this page ongoing . May Canada favor us all.

no price for sharp sand?
From the mix ratio given 1:2:4
U guys are gonna be consuming more granites than sand
Is having lesser granite than sand & 5tons gonna be enough?
price for sharp sand was not included because we have that on ground. I have a problem with the cost of the granite though. Any idea how much a ton costs normally
