For the Virus stuff, I obsverved that 70% of virus attacks are not targeted from the internet but from the use and exchange of USB Flash , because of that I recommend USB Disk Security to guard you against uncontrolled Autoruns.

Personally I use Microsoft Security Essentials and USB Disk Security for years now but to make some money I recommend, buy and install Norton for others.
However if you are the type that click on any link you see on the internet, get an AVAST
