The Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, DIGC, Dr Paul Enenche, has condemned the statement by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, over the killings in Plateau state.

www.idomavoice.com observed that the fiery preacher spoke on Tuesday morning in Abuja during the DIGC Healing and Deliverance Service, Enenche said such a group should be brought to book for taking responsibility for the death of over 100 Nigerians.

He said: “Mass killings of human beings, as a revenge for stealing 300 cows from herdsmen. Even if this were true does it justify the killings of lives?

“The person or group that made this statement is still walking free? How can someone compare the lives of human beings with that of a cow.

“You hear a Nigerian saying that attacks on his fellow country man are retaliatory. Yet, he doesn’t support the killing of human being, saying that those who carried out the attacks did it on a revenge mission.

“What are the security agencies doing to this person that has openly confessed he has committed a crime and yet no arrest is made instead innocent Nigerians are being terrorised daily.”

He expressed concern over the sudden silence by activists in the country.

He said it was time the security agencies knew that Nigeria remained a secular state and should not turn the country into something else.

The cleric urged the congregation to pray for every genuine security men and women fighting for the peace of the nation.

He, however, asked them to declare that the genuine security personnel would refuse to be used as instruments of dismay, but would be used to bring about the peace of the nation.

Miyetti Allah yesterday said that their reason for slaughtering over 200 innocent and defenseless Christians in Jos yesterday was because they stole 300 of their cows.

Femi Fani Kayode reacted by calling them barbarians and lamenting that he has constantly spoken against these creatures for the last three years.

Cows may have been killed (we call that arson). Instead of asking that the cows be replace (if the cow story is even true in the first place) the owners of the cows decided the best thing to do was to make themselves the law and become judge and jury, deciding what sentence should be pronounced on those they believed killed their cows.

They sat and on their own decided that the punishment should be death and that it should be meted on anybody they lay eyes on in the suspected village.

They actually got up, took guns, and proceeded to inflict anyone they could see with death.

After the deed (mind you, no one knew any reason for the killing) they publicly explained that they believe 300 of their cows were killed by individuals from that village and that is why they proceeded to kill anyone in the village they could see, plus destroy houses.

If this government is not one we should be ashamed of, what is Danladi Ciroma, chairman, North Central zone of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, the man who provided the reasons for the murders still doing not being arrested?

A government that knows how to storm its chief judges' houses at night to whisk them away, suddenly is doing so many things (like deploying troops to the massacred area after the killers have left) except arresting the people who have claimed responsibility by explaining what grievance caused them to commit the crime?

This is what I seriously say:

If this corrupt, blood-drawing and repulsive disrespect for all of us as Nigerians, has continued up till this point (few months to the elections) one can only wonder the new levels of low these people will actively take us to, if we mistakenly vote them into power a second time.

They know there are elections around the corner, and look at the horror movie they feel okay directing.

What will they do when they know there is no election ahead of them anymore?

Following the deaths of “over 100” persons on Saturday night, the government of Plateau State has imposed a curfew on Riyom, Barakin Ladi and Jos south Local Government Areas of the state.

The curfew was announced on Sunday afternoon by the secretary to the state government, Rufus Bature.

According to him, the movements in the three local government areas would be restricted between 6pm and 6am, but that those on “essential duties” would be exempted.

“The Plateau State government has imposed curfew in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South to avert a breakdown of law and order,” Mr Bature stated.

“Movement is restricted from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., except those on essential duties.”




Ladi Choji, chairman of Berom Youth Movement, had told newsmen that over 100 persons were killed while houses, including churches, were torched.

He said 31 corpses were recovered from Gashish village, 42 others from different villages in Barkin Ladi.

The attacks were blamed on suspected herdsmen.

“I believe that this attack was carefully planned by the herdsmen in collaboration with some military personnel who aided the attack,” he said.

“We have recovered 34 corpses from Gana Ropp and 8 from Gashis while several others have not been recovered.

“The corpses would be close to 100 because apart from 42 corpses that we have recovered, we are mobilising people to go into the villages to pick other corpses corpses that have not been recovered.”

Mathias Tyopev, spokesman of the Plateau police command, confirmed the incident but could not give casualty figure.
