I guess you don't know politics and politicians.
During Endsars Wike promised to employ 5k Rivers youths into state civil service. Till date nothing has been done.

Now it's election time and he has brought another sweet talk of employing 10k youths.

This is his 8yr in government and na the last 2 months e wan do wetin e no do for 7+ yrs?

Stop being f^^led by politicians. Wike will only employ if SIM loses, just to put the burden on the winner.
I dont know how else to explain it.

I will employ 5,000 civil servant is mere talk.

I have approved the employment of 10,000 civil servants is not.

Based on his antecedents, Wike will not approve something and go back on it. If you have any evidence of him doing that, I'll be happy to withdraw the statement.

A general statement about politicians lying about employment won't cut it.

Inec has uploaded more than half of the votes. Anyone following should be able to make a decent prediction or at least tell us where how things stand.

Do you think he'll be able to pull that off despite the voter intimidation/suppression ?
I honestly don't think so but who knows.

I've not been following the results coming out of Lagos.

The way the results are being uploaded on INECs viewing portal makes it very difficult to track.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 9:16pm On Mar 18, 2023
Inec has done better with the upload of results to IREV. If they had done this with the presidential, perhaps the result would be different.

Promise kept where? Has any employment of 10000 persons been done? What promise kept are you talking about?

Abi u no understand the phrase promise kept?
The employment has been approved and will be done before he leaves. The 5000 was only a promise.

I will employ 5000 before my tenure ends is different from I have approved the employment of 10,000 civil servants.

i agree with you but Wike is not wonderful...No transpareny....for 8 yrs, we didnt see budget. We dont know how much those flyovers cost.

Amaechi did far better by touching all sectors.
Amaechi that showed you budget used 54bn to construct a 1.2km monorail line when a foreign firm bidded 25bn to finish the entire rail line.

No politician is a saint. They all steal money to varying degrees. Whether Wike declares budget or not is not of concern to me. The ones who declare still steal with reckless abandon.

forget that talk, Wike did not perform in any part, all the flyovers he built was just round his house.
Have you seen the road to ahoada?
People close their nose just to pass that road.
The road to Kalabari is a dead trap.
Pension and gratuity he did not pay
Bursary he did not pay
Employment he did not employ
Infrastructure was only done round his house
Intimidation was his trademark
The road to Ahoada is a federal road.

Pension and gratuity are being paid regularly

He has approved the employment of 10000 civil servants

The Ahoada-Omoku road is not around his house.

All the flyovers on Aba road are not around his house

The resurfacing of the entire Ikwerre road from Education to Rumuokoro is not around his house

The resurfacing of entire Old GRA and GRA roads is not around his house

The dualization of mummy B road down to Tombia extension is a brilliant masterpiece. That road alone has seriously decongestsed traffic in the state and it is not around his house.

What do you guys gain in lying so much?

Na now Amaechi eye open ba? I hope Asiwaju doesn’t reward him with any kain federal appointment. Make him return to Rivers..
From all indications, the relationship between Amaechi and Tinubu is completely damaged. I doubt there's any federal appointment coming from anywhere.

I just watched a video where Amaechi said Tinubus camp nominated Mahmood Yakubu as INEC chairman. If that is true, it lends credence to what I was saying here.

The question you should ask is, do people become chief justices of Nigeria simply based on merit?

The answer to that question will tell you why some of us have no hope in the judiciary and should tell you why you shouldn't.
The whole plan has been perfected long ago right under our noses.

I had to look for your moniker, I told you earlier that Cole would win. Amachi is already using soldiers to hijack ballot boxes in his LGA..
Had to come back to this

I just sampled 12 LGAs from the 20 already uploaded on INEC server, PDP has won 11, APC 1 and LP 0.

Good luck to you, Amaechi and Cole. You will need lots of it grin

Politics is really big in Rivers State. Too much money is available to spend and the money gets to a lot of people especially in this electioneering period.

These people are ready to do anything to preserve their source of income.

Abia, Enugu, Delta, Rivers, Plateau, Lagos.

LP should actually win atleast 2 of these states at the very minimum. Shame Edo is not having its Governorship election this year. That's another sure state.
Which Rivers? grin

If LP gets 20% of votes cast in Rivers, they really tried.

I knew LP is not going anywhere the moment I saw their numbers of seats in the National Assembly.

Less than 8% seats in the senate
Less than 10% seats in the House of Representatives.

What that means is they can't even block any legislative action because they lack the necessary numbers.

Anyway, if they can win 4 or 5 state Government seats, it will be a great boost for the movement because the state Governors political strength will be necessary to fortify the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
They won't. If they even win one, I'll be very surprised.

I have always maintained that Labour Party and the PDP have to collapse into one party and present PO to stand any realistic chance in 2027.

I don't know what you are seeing sha.

It could be different from what i know
The voter turnout across board in major cities is extremely low. This will enable enough cooking of results in rural areas.

The presidential election was difficult to rig because people came out in their numbers. With voter apathy, people have just played right into the hands of established political parties. Na why I say Labour Party is dead. The machinery to influence the election for their candidates is not there.

Same here mahn. I just didn't like the plot and how the story was developed. Grew tired somewhere around season 3.

It even made me skeptical of the general quality of British TV series but Top Boy has convinced me otherwise.
That was one show I tried so hard to like due to the hype around it. I kept watching and watching hoping it will get better like breaking bad.

Eventually, I had to throw in the towel. It just wasn't for me.
