This was where I stopped reading if the over-voting figures were removed from the announced results, the APC candidates in Imo and Kogi States would lose their seats, while the PDP candidate in Bayelsa would still emerge victorious despite the over-voting irregularities in that election. If you can't even get basic facts right, why should I bother with the rest. This was not what he said as the APC candidate in IMO and PDP candidate in Bayelsa would have won even if the polling units with over-voting and irregularities were cancelled. Kogi was the outlier where SDP would have won without irregularities. |

Griffon: I’ve been seeing lines like “the team isn’t built around Palmer, that’s why he struggled yesterday”, “you shouldn’t have sacked Poch, he brings out the best in Palmer” etc.
These are unfounded claims.
If there’s anyone who understands Palmer’s game more, it has to be Maresca himself. It was the Italian who took him through his development at City Academy before he was promoted to the senior squad.
Working with him now and getting him to fire should be an easy-peasy job. It’s not like we were playing manyoo or Everton, this was a fixture against the defending Champions and with a team still work in progress, there was little even the 2023/24 Palmer could have done. Thought he played well. Created a couple of good chances and had a shot spilled over by Ederson. At least 60-70% of every goal scoring chance we had came from Palmer. |

Let’s say out of the 35k his take home ends up being 20k , Omo he’s better than a whole lot of married men working in this Lagos sef.
20k x 22 working days is 440k per month. A level 13 officer in Alausa don’t earn close to that net tax per month . You're right. Gross or net, na still cashout. Saw one survey that says more than 70% of Lagosians earn less than 100k a month. |

raumdeuter: 35k per day is almost 1m a month. I am sure there are other fees that he is not factoring but he is doing well to have 4 kids and be paying almost 100K for 1 school fees All these schools just started increasing fees anyhow they like. He likely wasn't paying up to that before. Regardless, he's doing quite well as you have noted. That house in a place like Lagos will not come cheap. |

Let the man pay his share of the kids’ upkeep and let her pay hers; let’s see if she can keep up with her responsibilities inclusive of paying her own rent in this harsh economy .
That house they are living will not cost the man anything less than 800k per year or more . I suspect the man was driving a company vehicle before he resigned to drive commercial . It shows the man just wants to cater for his family .
If she’s not cool with him driving commercial to cater for the family then let her bounce . Make she age enter street see how easy it is to make money . The funny thing is some of these informal jobs pay better than some formal jobs where u wear tie everyday sef but women will always like their men on tie instead of him wearing overall bending under a car to repair it or having to drag with agbero as a transporter That part caught my attention as well. Suspect he may be talking of total revenue for the day. If that's his profit then Lagos bus drivers are living large |

BlueRayDick: Baba, I took law courses and from what I could remember there are exceptions to rules and laws . For example now , in law of contract it said that any contract entered into with a person of unsound mind(let’s say mad man ) is null and void except it can be proven such person was in a lucid state as at the time of contract agreement.
Now that exception in bold matters a lot.
In application to Dangote/NNPC/NUPRC matter, if NUPRC are saying they can’t enforce the DCSO, it is because they are aware that “sanctity of contracts “ supersedes our toothless PIA in international business law. Oil and gas is an international trade through and through .
I think Dangote will be fine if he learns from hordes of mistakes he has made in this business venture This should not be the case though. Whatever contract any IOC is signing must be in accordance with existing laws. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 6:57am On Aug 14, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: Let me ask u one question .
Let’s say there’s an agreement between FG/NNPC and let’s say Shell for oil exploration and the agreement says Shell gets 40% and NNPC 60% of the crude explored.
Now the NNPC has obligations to repay those loans out of their 60% of the last crude tapped out of the ground; they also need to sell some to international refineries to make the country money etc .
If IOCs out of their 40% chose to favor their own customers which they have contracts signed with first and then offer Dangote crude at a premium price , is that a crime according to PIA ? Looks like it is. Except Dangote is lying.

airmark: Let me use your own team to explain, provided that you will be reasonable unlike Timbros and Lordfalcao.
Last season, Chelsea and Arsenal created the same 87 big chances. Your team, Arsenal, converted 24 while we converted 14.
Just spread the deficit of the 10 big chances the likes of Jackson, Sterling and their friends squandered in front of goal in matches we drew or lost with 1 goal. If those chances were converted, we wouldn't be in Conference league playing against teams with 10k capacity stadium.
To put a climax and you may factcheck me, all those teams that finished above us on the log, did waaaaaaaay better in big chances conversion. That should speak volume, right?
So, just throwing 77 goals on the screen can only hoodwink the likes of Lordfalcao, Timbros and co. This assumes that 1. The big chances were missed in the matches we either drew or lost. 2. We would have automatically won or drawn if those chances weren't missed. Football does not work that way. |

Theflint1: Atiku/Okowa vs Tinubu/Shettima in 2023, Atiku would have probably won, but there's no guarantees on that. There are several things that'd have worked against his ticket...low voter turnout, opposition to North-North continuity, Atiku's past, Okowa's less than stellar time as governor, INEC and Judiciary.
Atiku wasn't going to run with Peter Obi in 2023, the PDP governors wanted one of them running with Atiku as guarantee for their support.
Anybody saying Peter Obi's votes would have wholly transferred to Atiku is deceiving themselves...there's ways APC could have spun that thing and made it a North vs South election and they'd get the votes needed down South and the votes they were entitled to up North courtesy their infrastructure up North. The winning ticket was Atiku/Wike. Atiku was too foolish to see it. |
