5% Per Annum right.

Make I receive my stipend tomorrow, I'm down for the bet...

Will dm pearl and someone can stand for you since you're not in Lagos...
That's great. Let's know when the money has been sent.

And yes, 5% Per Annum.

Sorry, I don't do bets that way, the trio will walk into the bank and we get the information we need from the bank together, if you're down, I'm down....

You're coming here with screenshot, is that what is giving you that confidence till date?
You also have to be reasonable. I don't reside in Lagos.

Any other member of the thread can accompany you and Pearl1910. My presence or absence will not increase or reduce the interest rate from 5%.

The screenshot is not giving me confidence. I'm not divorced and still married to my wife who still works in the bank as of this night. Common sense should tell you I have reconfirmed from her.

I posted it to let you know you will lose if you go ahead with it.

To think I don't want this guy to "waste" his money but his arrogance and loud mouth won't let him.

This was a chat we had in May of this year.

The one that will never believe in your gibberish online,

Since you have shifted it to bank staff, I will still stand that even bank staffs don't get 5% Per annum.
My initial bet was to outside customers but you're shifting it to bank staff which I will still place the bet

And, why do you have to proof to me with an email, let's walk in to any branch of that bank and enquire about it, that's the only way you will get current info.
Pearl1910 can receive the money and will verify independent of whatever evidence I send to him. You can also visit any of the banks branch of your choice to verify the same.

Let us know when the money has been sent. Now is the time to put your money where your loud mouth is.

See where you're shifting to, do you even understand the bet at all?

I said no organization will give loan to a first time loaner and you said there is, now you're saying banks give car loan to their staff and not outsiders🤣🤣 on 5% annual interest rate, you just dey drift and shift shift, even car loan either to bank staff or new customer will never be 5% annual interest rate as of today, what you're saying is years back, when you're not conversant with CBN new policy, how will you be updated.

My bet is, there's no loan you will seek now that will be 5% annual interest rate..
Nawa o. Which kind human being be this?

Send your 100k to Pearl or any known member of this thread of your choice. I will provide evidence on mail to the same person that interest rate on PLAS and car loan for bank staff is 5% PA. Upon confirmation, the 100k is to be added to the one from IFSHR and shared with regular members of this thread.

Oga, no edit your quote, thank God I mentioned you before you edited it.

I'm down with your bet, let's credit either Pope or pearl for the bet and whoever we credit will be physically present to witness it when we make enquiry..

Una go just come here dey lie with confidence, 9m loan with 5% annual interest rate for 5years🤣🤣🤣
I'm not interested in any bet with you because you'll lose and I don't need your money. You are ignorant and still arrogant in your ignorance

Interest rate on car loans for full staff of banks is 5% pa. Same as their PLAS. Short for personal loan against salary.

While PLAS has a tenor of 1 year and the loan amount lower, car loans can be spread over 5 years.

Again, what you don't know, you don't know.

Hahaha cheesy

Which loan company will give you loan and spread payment for more than 24months?

Dey jonz, you will have to be an existing customer to get the one that will even give you 24months payment plan, and I hope you know this loan companies doesn't have fixed interest rate.

If he's getting a loan of 5m for 24months, he will be paying nothing less tha 350k monthly for that 24months, you think 350k monthly is worth that risk, I will say it worth it if there's job security in where he works
The man has told you himself he can spread the payment over 5 years.

I have no reason to doubt him because my wife has access to a loan facility of up to 9m at 5% annual interest rate that can be spread over 5 years.

What you don't know, you don't know.

Did the see where I said I'll be paying back- comfortably so, with my salary?

Besides is finding a rental car not the same as taking a loan? It's even worse in my opinion, cost it means you go use the car hustle day and night.

Me I just plan to use the car as a side gig, as my salary is gonna enter 550k by next year ending by God's grace. Deductions by my bank from my monthly salary will pay off the loan comfortably over the space of 5years, even if I no use the car hustle at all, let alone when I use it as a side gig, which most rental will never give you!

Think this my line of thought well again bro, and let me know what you think.
Your line of thought is perfect.

Getting a loan in this high inflationary environment can never be wrong in my eyes. Especially one with payment plan that can be spread over 5 years.

You'll likely never be able to save up to buy that car. Even if you manage to save up, it will be 6-7m by the time you're ready.

The subsidy regime was giving people a fake life and doing things they normally cant afford.
If you were doing the same job you're doing in US in Nigeria, how much do you think you'll be earning?

Do you think a man who has worked as hard as you all his life should park his car in his child's school because he can't afford to fuel it to work?

Do you not think wages should be commensurate with economic realities?

The only Tinubu supporter I listen to on this board is Larride, and in fairness he has on a fair number of occasions expressed his displeasure at Tinubu government. When GloroiusG last week said to Dayo that things are really bad, that got me concerned.
I've seen parents now drive children to school, park the car there, enter public transport to work and back to the school, use the car to take the children home. These are middle class parents who were very comfortable before Tinubu.

In taxis, markets, streets and even in your compound, people are only discussing one thing. Hardship.

I'm telling u. The way people's temper dey flare these days ehn, u no go whine dem at all.

Even the fuel station managers understand they are at a great risk if things go south due to that kind arrangement. It may end up in violent situation like when people were destroying bank properties during cashless wahala
At least two parents have told me their kids will be staying at home when school resumes because they can't afford fees yet.

Then these people will leave their houses to go find fuel for their daily bread. Then you'll come by 1pm to buy fuel before them who have been on the queue since 3am. Na to pour all the frustration on you grin

U never see film before; maybe because you are not based in Lagos. When everything set, manager go stop selling fuel to protect the filling station and everybody will go home disappointed.

I will like to see u practicalize that ur theory in this kinda fuel queue in Lagos . If ur teeth no full ground, make I know wetin cause am grin
grin grin grin

Before the situation got worse, I used to do something similar at one NNPC station. Rather than use the manager, I pay the policeman in charge a token and he allows me enter from the exit gate.

The last time I went there and called him by the side, the man told me point blank he can't risk it. That the last time he tried, he was mobbed and was almost beaten up

The situation is now very critical. Everybody eye dey red.

I don't think this is true sha.

CNG is transported using gas tankers to their destinations, just like PMS or AGO.

If stations are in place, it shouldn't be a problem.

PH should be having CNG stations sef. Greenville that is the major producer, has a plant on East/West road.

If in Lagos here, i can see their trucks, why can't it be in PH?
You sure?

Watch this interview between the 1st and 10th minute.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV1S4RDdOoY&pp=ygUOQXJpc2UgbmV3cyBjbmc%3D

Even better if you can watch the entire interview.

I was surprised to find out there are no CNG stations with Greenville here in our backyard. I called some of the biggest gas stations around and none of them had CNG.

I would have converted mine.

Once cng comes to ph, i am converting my car asap. I think a lot of people don't know cng is hybrid system, and you can easily switch to petrol when the cng is exhausted. If any client load can't fit in the trunk or back seat, the person should request another ride simple. And if eventually i want to sell the car, i will uninstall the kit.
I dey your back grin

Once there's even one CNG station available, I'm converting my car.

I hear the transportation of CNG is very difficult and extremely capital intensive. That's why investment in CNG stations seem to be dragging. Infact, they said if you don't have existing CNG gas pipelines running through your state, forget about ever having CNG stations in the state.

Even if it's being sold for 1300 in Lagos, and only few stations are selling, there will still be queue. Availability is what will reduce the queue and not price cox Lagos is business hub, and people will have to work no matter the price...
You may be right but at N1,300, using public transport will feel like entering a Rolls Royce to most people. A lot more will park their cars.

the story is kind of different here in Lagos because at almost 900 now the queue for filling station is still very long, makes me wonder if there is anything we Nigerians ain't gonna take from this govt
Apparently, you guys in Lagos have more disposable income and higher purchasing power

And even at that, I believe the queue will reduce if not disappear should the price change to 1300

But ....... it's funny how people are not even talking about the price but the scarcity.............omo tinubu do this one ooooo
We in PH have been buying 970 for months and now it's 1300. Even as most filling stations are not selling, there is hardly any queue and that in my opinion is because people can no longer afford to buy.

This guy said his reserve light was on when he bought at 1300/litre. He bought 10k and the light didn't go off.

I guess we have to wait to see what NLC does this time as it appears only them can force the hand of the govt. The govt. clearly does not rate our protest. Just look at the audacity to increase fuel price few weeks after a nationwide protest.
