Many people when they hear tech, the next thing that comes to their mind is coding. That's not true. Let me even shock you that coding in Nigeria is becoming saturated.

While you're waiting for rental, hire purchase or you're intending to give up, pick up your laptop and start learning "community management". There is a market for it at the moment in Nigeria with only few people available for lots of jobs.

This is a skill you can learn in 2 months, and get employed at any age. Another one is "product design". These skills are not hard and you will eventually get a good pay on your 2nd job.

If you don't know where to learn, start from YouTube. If you have money, go to Udemy. The FG is also training people at the moment through Alat for free.

My brother, the kain call wen I receive on Sunday from a known friend in Nigeria nearly brought me to tears. I am always careful with my utterances when it comes to the reality of others, especially people who are not around my surrounding because most men I know in Nigeria are not lazy. Infact, close associates will tell you, I don't tolerate laziness in men. I can tolerate laziness in women but you see grown man? If I sense laziness in a man, I dey block, delete and cutout. However, things are set up against them and changes to economic factors that determine income change every day with little time to adjust/ adapt.

People working with NLNG are parking their cars and only using it when it's absolutely necessary. What's the fate of people earning less than a third of their salaries with similar responsibilities?


Someone was asking if Fx savings from dangote will ease exchange rate pressure and I said in theory it should but it looks like this country is cursed. Nothing ever gets better.

Meanwhile, I checked one filling station on my way home, they have changed price to 1200. .

I try as much as possible to dodge as much people as I can nowadays. I deliberately don't ask after some people's well being because I know what will follow is; they will download their problems and something must drop.

Sometimes I just wonder how people who do low paying jobs like cleaner, driver, etc manage to feed and take care of their responsibilities in this period.

Seriously, any church, mosque or religious organizations not giving back to their vulnerable amongst their members in this period is just a wicked organization that should be deserted by members.

A friend in the UK chatted me with a ++44 number on WhatsApp and asked if I was available to talk. When he called, I asked what happened to his Nigeria number which he had been using on WhatsApp.

He said he had to shut it down because the requests for money were becoming too much. Someone needs money for hospital bills, another for school fees, another house rent and for some, kids have not eaten.

He was overwhelmed and just gave up the account. I told him the truth is, most people don't like to beg for money but what do they do when they are completely stranded. Even for us in the country, there's always one financial request or the other. That's In the midst of your own personal financial struggles.

Guys who are not married tell me ladies are begging to stay with them just so they have a roof over their head and don't have to bother about food. They are no longer asking for money for hair, phone or shoes.


I saw an old woman walking along the road one morning on my way to work so I stopped to pick her. Asked where she was going and if there was no one to send. She was walking down to the bakery to buy bread because they sell N80 naira and the people in her street sell for N120. I asked of her age and she said 76. I was broken. Gave her the little I had with me as I dropped her at the bakery.

I have never in my adult life seen things this bad.

At what price? Who wan pay for the fuel?

They have been saying it severally that Dangote refinery will not bring down the price of PMS significantly.

NNPC will have to lift from Dangote so they can subsidise.

Another way they could have done it is subsidise the crude to dangote and allow him sell to everyone but we know they don't have enough crude to give him. And I'm not even sure they can do that as a member of OPEC.

This was my brother last year along Shagamu Benin expressway, just before Ore, bike man shoots out of the bush into the road. He said the car somersaulted and ended up on the other lane going back to Shagamu. Thankfully everyone came out unhurt.

Infact, people that actually do above 120km/h at some point won't know they are doing upto that speed level, coz they could see the road ahead of them is clear. And one thing about car is, the little you step on the gas, the more it increases in speed and that little step on the gas gives car more stability on the road while the speed increases, so you might not feel the speed until you glance through your dashboard..

Then you said the car go be one Toyota jalopy with basic suspension, so, does that mean other cars that aren't with basic suspension can overspeed?

That scenario with the bike man is what I have seen play out more than once on highways.

Tank farms are storage facilities for petroleum products. The question is : The products loaded from those tank farms, where do they sell them to? Are they loading products from the tank farm and selling it to the north or east?

Filling station owners here buy directly from tank farms. I know that for a fact. Maybe that's why fuel is always available here. All that time you guys were shouting scarcity, it never got here. I just expect the price to compete with what obtains in Lagos.

There's another tank farm in Jos or Niger that services the North.

They are used to store petroleum products.

When vessels arrive from say Malta, NNPC has no means of storing the fuel and can't dispatch to depot through pipelines for obvious reasons.

Those who own tank farm owners lift the fuel from the vessels and barge it across the sea to PH, Calabar, e.t.c . The product is then stored in tank farms and sold to independent marketers who transfer it to other parts of the country with tankers.

I don't have the details on how to own one but I know it's extremely capital intensive.

There's an NNPC filling station that is just like one minute drive from my house; there are two other NNPC filling stations like 10 minutes and 15 minutes drive from my house. All I need to do is stay on queue and buy fuel on weekends

There are other filling stations closer to me whose prices vary from NNPC's like petrocham and other independent marketers.

There's MRS filling station close to my work place that sell multiple pumps at the same time. All I need to do is leave home early and will buy fuel within 30 mins.

In Lagos there's definitely options like you rightly said.

That's big elephant in the room no one seems to be talking about. And because people don't buy much fuel again, it's becoming increasingly difficult figuring them out.

A bus or taxi driver before Tinubu buys 5k fuel in two different places. He gets 33 litres in one and 31 in the other. Easy to know which has tampered with the meter because the extra two litre of fuel will take him another 16-20kms.

Now lets say he buys the same 5k at 850 per litre at a filling station that has not adjusted the meter and he gets 5.88 liters, he will get 5.55 at another that has adjusted it to 900 but displaying 850. How e wan take notice any difference?

Filling stations have never had it better. They can now adjust meters however they want.

Away from the financial implication, it is even not a flex to buy black market because you are at risk of buying bad fuel that can damage your engine. Black market people usually adultrate the fuel they sell.

The major problem with PH is, I doubt there are up to 10 stations that sell below 700 and they don't sell everytime. The closest to me is about 8kms and you can get there by 6am, queue till 8 and they won't sell. That's two litres of fuel wasted. If you decide to wait till they start selling before you join the queue, sorry will be your name. Most times, your options are between 890-950 per litre at filling stations and the 1100 he buys. The difference becomes less significant.

For you guys in Lagos who have more options, it's a no brainer to go and queue.

Since I started paying attention to my Sol, BTC, and Pepe, I honestly stopped caring about all these Twitter crypto analysts.

To be honest, most of my past mistakes in crypto—around 85% can be traced back to following these so-called crypto analysts. They would hype up some random coins, claiming BTC was going to hit 100k, only for it to drop to 40k. Then they’d flip and say BTC was going to 40k, and suddenly it shoots up to 70k.

I’ve finally nailed down my personal strategy, and it’s working perfectly for me now. I can’t believe it took me this long to figure it out.

No one can be 100% right, but if you find a strategy that suits you, it can make all the difference in this market.

I have to agree that doing the exact opposite of whatever the consensus is on CT works. I bought at 48k when they were predicting doomsday.
