@Kaitung homeboy. I salute your courage. I learnt my bitter lesson long ago. Ever since, it's been #LipsSealed. Please do not stress yourself giving out any more info. As you can clearly see, 'They'll b contacted when they'll be contacted. Period.'

Respect homeboy.

O really? But if this is the case, the authenticity of forkadict's and kaitung's posts would be brought into question. If, like you said, the number of those remaining is 133.333......% of my first figure i.e. 360, it follows that the actual number is 1.333*360=480 approx. Now, if we are to go by kaitung's most recent info, those to be taken in 4months' time = 480/12 = 40. And those to be taken in 7months' time would be (480 - 40)/11 = 40. This brings the total number to be absorbed to be 80, which defies the 1960 code. So, I feel the 360 figure is more like it, cos it is more in line with forkadict's and kaitung's posts, except their info is wrong. Whatever the case, # I will always rely on Jah's undeserved kindness
Prinzofparis:
Bro, the number I heard is heavy!!!...its exactly 133.333334 percent of your first figure. D number to be taken is approx 66.6% of your figures...

Anyways, will know for sure soon. We've heard so many things so far as this recruitment is concerned. Nothing is a news to me anymore. Whatever NLNG likes, they should do and get this over with.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m):
Number of those still in the race=360. See how I came about this (please pardon me if I make any mistake o. I no no book o) Number to be absorbed=60 (from forkadict's 1960 code). Let the number still in d race be x. From kaitung's post, the first batch will absorb 1/12 of x i.e x/12; number of those left = x - x/12 = 11x/12. The second batch will see 1/11 of 11x/12 i.e x/12. Hence, total number of those to be absorbed is given as x/12 + x/12 = 60, which gives x = 360. So number of those still in the race is 360. This confirms cashme's info. Well, well, as it stands since we are expecting the first batch to resume 4months from now, I think the mails shall drop next week. Anyhow, #I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness

Imagine the picture painted by an insider! Hmmm! Batch 1: 1 out of 12. Batch 2: 1 out of 11. @kaitung, what's the situation of the engineers going to look like? I am asking this because I am aware that unlike other non-technical GTs whose trainings can be done in-house, engineering GTs usually have their training in the Uk. As such, it would be more cost effective to train the engineers in group than in segments. So what's the plan like? I would appreciate your response, although I have a feeling that they are the once slated for the next 7months.
kaitung:
It is really a pity how the table has drastically turned. A once great company that achieved enviable feats when the expatriates were still in control. All that has been rubbished by the bureaucracy and non-chalant attitudes of the present Nigerian executives.

I do not see any justifiable reason for keeping people waiting for almost 3years, and in the end take only 1 in 12 of those who have met all set criteria in the next 4 months, and additional 1 in 11, subject to favourable business outlook in the next 7 months.

All we hear is how great the company is. We are just living in past glory i must confess.

It was once a great company, yes it was. I can't say same about today. We think we are OK at the moment as a company, but if we tell ourselves the truth, the world is drastically changing ...countries of same resources are planning ahead... I pray we don't get pushed to the shadows in a few years time.

A good move by a country that has the interest of her citizenry at heart. Lol @ even nationalizing vegetable market. But the truth is that no government or kingdom ruled by man can solve our problems no matter how well-intentioned such government may be. The reason is that as humans, we are not created with the ability to rule ourselves. The only solution to mankind's problems is God's kingdom- a government that God had established in heaven, with his son Jesus christ as king. I am looking forward to the time when God will open his hands and satisfy the desire of everyone.

The longer a recruitment process takes, especially in a place like Nigeria, the easier it is compromised. Nlng is no exception. Seriously, I am thinking along that line. Kaitung said we shall get the mails soonest. Artmedia's source (a proven reliable one) said same. Only for them to start asking us to take our minds off Nnlg and move on. Now my reasoning is, for them to have given those info, they must have known that the mails were to drop soonest. And for them to be sounding confused and asking us to move on, it is indication that they are tired of the indecisiveness of the HR/ Management. Now, why would the HR/Management say one thing today and then say another tomorrow? Could it be that they are trying to contend with issues relating to candidates being imposed on them? Recall that kaitung said that there are 'some development'. Could this be the development, hence asking us to move on? Hmmmm! As far as I'm concerned, this recruitment is losing its credibility. Anything is possible in Nigeria. Anyhow, I don't give a hoot about who knows one big man or senator or Governor or President. This is because I am the candidate of the highest Personage in the universe, as such, # I will always believe in Jah's undeserved kindness
freeradical:
That's a good topic to discuss on here. A cold chill went down my spine when I saw that thread. I began to wonder if we were at risk of such in this our nlng race considering the delays being experienced at the moment. Could it be that the powers that be in the land have reserved a quota for their wards leaving nlng with a small chunk to choose from those that actually merit to get the Job. Could it be that this delay has nothing to do with oil price at all but the moral confusion the recruitment team is facing because of issues such as this. NLNG is as juicy as CBN and I know relatives of these high and mighty politician wouldn't mind working with her and would use their own whims to get there. I really hope I'm wrong in all this cos it wont be funny at all.

Force ke? Force bawo? No be me o. May the Force be with you sha.

@All.
I should have come with this message looooong ago but I held back because of the potential counter attacks I was liable to once I went thru with delivering the message. I anticipate folks coming at me with lines like 'Forkadict, because you don manage enter now, you con dey tell us make we move on abi? Na so life be?' I could be accused of being inconsiderate, selfish and all that. It has happened before when I attempted informing yall about developments regarding your process thru codes. I heard lines like 'Forkadict that used to be part of us is now talking to us thru codes etc etc ' but still on still, I just feel the need to say this and i appeal to yall not to be cross with me.

First of all, it is just unnecessary and discourteous for anyone insulting and throwing all manner of vituperations at NLNG for the protracted recruitment process. I was affected as well but only that my wait was not as intense as yours. At least from the time I applied till when I resumed took 28 months. You guys are doing your 29th month if I am right. So guys this is coming from someone who has a practical experience of how excruciating the wait can be (in contrast some guys whose process went thru the normal circumstances) and I still share their sentiment by advising yall to please chill and cut the invectives.

I get really baffled when I hear people come with lines like 'my life has been put on hold by this process' how so? If anyone is like that then the person has himself strictly to blame for putting his life on hold and not NLNG. Do you have a certification to bag? Or an academic degree? Or marriage? You name it. Why not go ahead and anytime NLNG is ready to unfreeze this process and you are one of the lucky few, you simply decide whether you want to come on board or continue with your life as the case may be. And even if you decide to come on board, I don't know what programme you may be running that you can not put on hold and continue when you have eventually settled in at NLNG.

I have always said it and I still repeat that regarding your process, neither the son nor the angels knoweth but only the father. For all we know, the interview outcomes MAY even be communicated this month or later. Cos the eventual communication of interview outcomes does not necessarily translate to immediate resumption. There will still be another 6 months lag at least. So NLNG coming back to yall on interview outcomes this month and eventual resumption in 4th quarter or earlier is not a possibility to be ruled out.

Finally, this (and @Kaitung's last post) shouldn't mean that yall should abandon this thread. Let's still continue to commune and have fun on here like the end of this saga is tomorrow.

Still yours truly in this struggle,
Forkadict.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m): 10:35am On Mar 09, 2016
What this simply presupposes is that they have not been so badly affected by the fall in oil price as it has been painted. 6months ago was about September of last year and I think the price did not fall below $50 last year. The lowest price I think has been $28 and it didn't stay like that for up to week. So the average price of LNG as at today should be higher than the current price of oil as at today. Besides, there is prospect for the LNG, as the oil price is increasing. So what the heck are they talking about? They have what it takes to absorb even 120 of us. They are not much affected by the oil price, as it is cyclic. So if it's not just about the price, what could still be delaying the process? Could it be that they are divided concerning this process? And if they are divided, what could be causing the division? Could external influences be infitrating (long leg), with some for and others against? So many questions are begging for answers. Nlng has never had this kind of recruitment. Whatever and however it is, # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness
airsaylongcon:
Thank you my guy. Regarding the oil price there's a lag between what oil sells for today and what nlng will sell its products for. Their products are priced by averaging the price of benchmark crude for the preceding 6 months. So even if Ìjẹ̀bú garri spirit takes over crude oil today, NLNG no dey feel shishi in their pricing
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m): 9:44am On Mar 09, 2016
My guy, in my own candid opinion, the reason for this delay is beyond oil price. Some things may just not be right with them in-house. Hence, even if oil price hits $100 today, I don't think it would change anything. Please Nlng, resolve whatever issues you have and free us from this wait. Make una no use una reggae spoil our blues. Airsaylong my guy congrats.

The Managing Director,

Dear Sir,
RE: FEEDBACK ON GRADUATE TRAINEE RECRUITMENT

I am Dane15 one of your prospective GTs and I am writing this letter to you with all humility and due respect believing it will get to you at the top.

Before applying for this job in November 2013 after having participated in the NNPC recruitment that stalled since 2012, I was nonchalant at first because of the name of the company that starts with Nigeria.

I wrongly believed at the time that most Nigerian companies are birds of the same feather.
I believe that I must have been among the last set of people to submit their resumes as I was more interested in sending the advert to my unemployed friends than personally applying.

After applying, I read the facts and figures for 2013 and started to see that I made a very right choice by applying. The one that never ceases to touch me is when I read the profiles of the Management team and I am amazed to see a team of very intelligent people that have risen to the top through hard work and track record of excellence. To know that this crop of the crème de la crème of Nigerian intellects will be the ones steering the company and also be my managers and bosses very soon is nothing short of thrilling.

You sir, started as a Chemistry and Mathematics Teacher to become the NLNG MD. This apparently is not by mistake as one can easily see from your profile that you handled key positions well in the past and made the best out of them, the DMD a very knowledgeable and widely experienced guru, GM- Production-Mr. Chima Isilebo (I am not an Engineer but I would love to have him as a mentor when I get in). He represents excellence from what I have seen on his profile and I am not surprised he is in charge of the plant complex.

The GM-Commercial , Finance, External Relations, HR, NLNG Shipping, General Counsel equally have tremendously intimidating profiles and any of all profiles listed above can be used to motivate countless people anywhere in the world on how to reach the top through an excellent mindset.

This triggered my awareness in your company and after much research, I also found out that NLNG is a truly global company in contribution to the Nigerian economy, community impact and staff welfare.

My desire to become one of you grew from nonchalance to a wish and then to this big dream of mine.

Because of my keen interest, I have followed details of your announcement on anything financial and I believe that our annual remuneration which most likely is the reason for this delay when converted to USD is too insignificant at the moment relying on facts and figures from your company as a basis. (1USD/305NGN-Parallel market rate).

I also believe that judging from the quality of talents that have been exuded from this thread that the benefit of us resuming as quickly as possible will eventually exceed the cost even if the target recruits are not scaled down as the market price is cyclical in nature and will not remain at this level for too long.

Sir, it is widely reported that NLNG invested in assets to the tune of $14bn last year 2015 even in the midst of lowering prices, our salaries at most over 35 years of service will most likely not top $420mn and the fact that with time we will be the ones that will be entrusted to manage the $14bn plus assets speaks volumes about our benefits to NLNG in the long run.

Sir, someone once spoke about this recruitment being debated on a radio and at the moment it seems like we are competing with NNPC for longest running recruitment. I believe we are better than this sir.

We are a global first class truly Nigerian company. We are pacesetters. I believe people should learn from NLNG on how to do things. I would like to appreciate the HR a lot under your guidance on how they have responded to uncertainties in this recruitment ranging from Ebola Virus to Oil price fluctuations.

I want to specially thank you for approving the takeoff of this recruitment and I truly believe that you will listen to our pleas and approve the wrap up of this recruitment this March 2016.

I hope this gets to you some way, somehow and I hope it makes you smile.

Thanks for taking the pain to read our documented plea.

Your soon to be staff,
Dane15

Guy no one is insulting our company. Even themselves know that they are hurting us. We are just criticizing constructively. You see, this is one problem we are having in Nigeria. Everyone is afraid to confront higher officials when they are doing the wrong thing. Because you are scared of not doing yourself more harm than good, you cannot tell someone to his face that what he has done is not right. If the management of Nlng are truly sincere with themselves, they would know that they have really hurt us and it's only natural to want to criticize them. While we should try to desist from abusive words, I don't think it's out of place to criticize them constructively. Constructive criticism brings about improvement in a system.

And u all are mocking our great company, NLNG. The wait has just begun for this set of Graduate Trainees.
