Well not offeded but just to correct you that it's not J-whites (whatever you mean by that) but Jehovah's Witnesses.
airsaylongcon:
Surely you must know! Only J-whites (apologies if u find that offensive) use Jah/Jehovah in reference to to the most high. Well God's Kingdom Society also use Jehovah but they aren't as widespread

@CHM1, at first glance at your post, I thought Nlng has placed an advert for 2016 GTs. You see, I have emptied my mind for a worst case scenario. Those guys are not to be relied on. They can just give us the shocker of our lives by cancelling this recruitment. So I am building a very formidable fibre to withstand any of such eventuality. Did I hear someone say that I am pessimistic? Well, you are very wrong with that conclusion. I am an optimist of the highest degree. Come to imagine this: Did you ever think that as at today, you would still be in a recruitment that started since 2013? Have you ever heard of the like of it? So you see, what we are in today could never had been conceived even in our wildest imagination. As such, the inconceivable may still happen. I believe in facing realities and not fantasies. Please don't get it twisted. I am not saying or wishing that this recuitment be cancelled. However, owing to the fact that the Management of Nlng are unreliable, as we all can attest, anything can happen. So, while expecting the best, I would prepare for the worst case scenario. Walahi this wait is highly irritating. This is almost 2 months since the last mail. @kaitung said that we shall get the mails sooner than we expect. But as far as I am concerned, it is already far later than we expected. I hope politics is not what is delaying this thing. I hope those guys in high places are not trying to influence it. Cos I see nothing, absolutely nothing that should still be delaying this process. NLNG, NLNG, NLNG. How many times did I call u? If you want to cancel this recruitment, cancel it and let all men rest. If you want to take just 5 persons, take them. Put an end to this annoying wait. It is very irritating. Gush!!!!!!!!!

Hey na wa o. Nlng GT hopefuls don turn orphans whe them won adopt. There is God sha (Just on a lighter note). Anyway, I copy you bro. D 20 'adopted' guys to be sent on training must be the technical guys. What about the non-technical guys whose trainings can be done in-house? Why can't they invite them now? Besides, I thought training oversees is usually 6months for technical guys, so why 8months now? Na wa. Nlng pattern sha. I no get anything to talk now. Make I resume for bonny first. Dem go see my true colour.

Thanks so much.

All I will say is dat you should keep the faith. Yall will least expect when they will get back to you.

Lemme tell you a story sis. No tell anybody o.

There is a certain wealthy man who had plans of adopting say about 20 children a time. And he intends to send these children to school in obodo oyinbo for at least 8 months. Then his business came under very serious threat. He was already starring at loss making eyeball to eyeball. If you were this wealthy man, what would you do? Do you disagree with this man chilling until his business begins to improve before he proceeds with his adoption plan?

Bros u don dey bring another leg o. Abeg I think we should stop all these unnecessary guesses about quarter this and quarter that. If we do not have info from any reliable source, let's not mention any thing about dates. If we had stuck to the 'in due course' that Nlng sent to us without putting our minds of that so-called QMD 1215, I think we would have averted the out-pour of annoyance that ravaged the thread today. For me, I am comfortable with the 'very soon' info until it will materialise. Whatever God would give you would never elude you # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kimdness

Best post for Q1
dane15:
Dplacement tried. He was in already; he had no business telling us anything but his pointers were both helpful and included disclaimers. “…… Make of this what you can”. I miss that line.
People like him force Nigerians to think hard and pick out clues that are available and use them to make meaningful information. Some people will still ask for the hour, minute and second that the email will be sent. Na their way. So they will surely not like people like Dplacement.
What amazes me is if Dplacement’s information does not make sense to you, why is it so difficult to ignore him as if he never existed?

Nicer has tried but if you and I were Nicer and we see all these so called “Jack Bauers” that the nation needs to help us check corruption who are jostling to enter NLNG. Who are busy unmasking and remasking, wouldn’t you save your career first? Anyways, I would.

Baba Addict has tried. Honestly, some of us here will not even utter a word after getting their offer letters. I am sure of this. Especially based on the comments we’ve been making - very selfish at times. This guy is on close to NGN22m p.a God bless his soul and still goes out to give us nuggets and clues which we can easily add up, corroborate to find out the truth yet we resort to name calling and mudslinging because he won’t risk the dream job he has been praying and fasting over for about two years for our own selfish interests.

Considering the small population of experienced hires taken, I believe any slip can easily be tracked by the HR monitors.
If Baba addict’s information does not make sense to you, why is it so difficult to ignore him as if he never existed?

Now, Artmedia! This guy’s selflessness is so crazy. He reminds me of a certain gentle man- Mesut Ozil. Football fans know what I mean. His information has saved a lot of people High BP and Hypertension.
And the way he even mentions his sauce, I wonder whether he will not put her in trouble. Can you imagine? We all know she is a she.
Some people would have enjoyed the benefit of the info alone. Yet he comes out here and dishes it like I am going to give him 10% of my salary when I get in.
And someone is still talking to him anyhow! If you have issues with his information, Oga the Oracle Throne is vacant, come and take it!

My disposition: I will be surprised if we get any emails today. (Not like that is not obvious already).
That brings me to another point-Kaitung said QMD1215 and talked about S and P. He never mentioned emails. God will help some people sha.
One thing that is certain for now is that Q1 notification is real. Resumption may be 2 or 3. So if I were you I will adjust my countdown machine to March 31st. If it comes earlier then fine.

vantage7:
People keep making reference to Nicer as evidence that the likes of forkadict and Dplacement can do better. I think that is a faulty argument. Nicer was never a source. What he is is someone involved with the recruitment in one way or the other most probably a member of the recruitment team. What he did was something necessary to rectify the mix up that they had when they drafted candidates for AC, not help a candidate, after all it was their error. After that the only other thing he did was to disabuse our some people's minds from the wrong so called inside info some had been spreading concerning senatorial zones etc.

I am so very alarmed at the way almost everyone here has attached significance to kaitung's predictions, an exact one at that. We don't seem to learn from experience. Check out all similar predictions that have been made. They've all failed. I have a feeling that this kaitung may just be someone among us trying to have fun with himself. As I have always stated, the only reliable source we have here is artmedia and he has said we shall get very soon, according to his source. Maybe you guys should re-read forkadict's last post to see why we should not cast on minds on this kaitung's predictions. Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m): 9:58pm On Feb 02, 2016
Greetings to Nlng! It's not an easy one for them at all. I really appreciate that they have given us a ray of hope and as such I am ready to wait for them till they deem it fit to call us. But I still need more clarification about this 'on-going' stuff (please pardon me if I bug you guys with this issue). I would appreciate if artmedia can help. If my memory serves me right, artmedia once said that Nlng had an initial plan of absorbing 120 persons, but those that passed the AC were more than that (let's take a hypothetical number of say 300). Now my question is: was the on-going mail sent to the 300 persons? If that mail was sent these 300 persons, then I think it's either not a good enough decision or it's to our advantage. I say it's not a good enough decision cos if they really have the plan of taking 120 persons or less (obviously what we are expecting considering the situation of things), what's the point in informing an extra 180 persons that the process is on-ongoing, when you know you would not need them? Wouldn't it be better to just send them regret mails? On another note, if they had the plan of taking 120 persons and they tell extra 180 persons that the process is on-going, it could be to our advantage cos they may be contemplating increasing the slot, perhaps cos of the vision of train 7. I am just thinking. But I have a feeling that the number of those that got the 'on-going' mail is that initial number (whatever it is) from which further selection would be made and not necessarily all those that passed the AC. However it is, # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m): 4:34pm On Feb 01, 2016
I believe you. Thanks a million. There's sure going to be light at the end of the tunnel.
artmedia:
I sincerely appreciate your vote of confidence. Thanks. And yes, it's from my 'sauce'. She made it clear that some of us that received the ongoing emails will still be dropped. Lets not forget that they are making decisions as to how many they will employ considering the market and other factors. So they were left with 3 options. One was to just keep mute till whenever they eventually agree on the final no. Second was to send a blanket mail to everyone that the process is still ongoing and they apologise for any inconvenience. And third was to do what they did - get in touch with those they are not considering at all, and let the rest know it is ongoing. The first 2 options leave everyone in limbo, whilst the last one lets some people get the closure we were all clamoring for. Hence they went with that option.

Again, if there wernt any issues with oil prices and all, and they had a firm number they wanted to take, the process would have been concluded a long time ago and we would have resumed. But this case is peculiar, and they did what they had to do.

We also have to know that they never in the past mentioned that once we get the next mail after the AC exercise, then we are automatically in. Hence, even if they want to send series of emails, as long as they have not said that 'proceed to medicals', and pick offer letter, then we cant question their degree of competence or their 'caring' ethos.

It is well IJN.

Guy, you are one of the persons, if not the only person on this thread whose info I take seriously. This is because all the infos you give here are quasi-perfect. As such, if you tell us that what you just wrote is from your source, I would believe you. But if it's based on what you think, I really beg to differ. However, if it's really true that this info is authentic, it just does not make sense one bit. A better way to have written the mail is ' with reference to your participation at the AC, we wish to inform you that you met the required cut-off. However, this does not automatically qualify you for the next stage of the campaign, as there are other factors which we are still deliberating on.........' something of this sort. For them to just keep us in the dark for God knows how long it's going to be, and then send regret mails again would just horn their degree of incompetence. We deserve to know where we are on the continuum. Just as they sent regret mails to those whom 'did not make the AC cut-off', I think those that got the 'ongoing mail' also deserve to know if they may not be considered later on. Judging from their previous recruitments, I do not think that those they usually call for medicals are the only ones that passed the AC or interview as the case may be (as evident in the 2007 thread). If they have more than what they wanted they can use the method they have been using or any other one they want to use to trim the number to the one they need. I repeat: It just would not make sense and would belie their 'caring' core value if they send regret mails again. It's against this backdrop that I strongly feel that they sent that mail just because they are unsure of the future and do not want to show any commitment. However it is, # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness.
artmedia:
Not to sound like a spoilsport though, but definitely those of us that got the 'in due course' email are just those that passed the AC cut-off. Forget all the talk about them not wanting to make a commitment. The people that passed this AC are more than the amount that they had initially wanted to pick (about 120 before they then wanted to reduce the no), and yes some of us sadly will still be let go. If it's any consolation, at least we know we were successful at the AC. Some sorta morale booster that is.

Anyway, let's just keep our minds open. Good thing is that we knw our odds have largely increased and our chances of joining @Forkadict are better, bad thing is that we dont know how long this carefully-crafted 'in due course' will be. All is well IJN. Amen.

Yes, keep an open mind. That's the spirit. However, I am sure those that got the 'ongoing mail' are the successful ones. Afterall, what prevents them from saying that one is unsuccessful when he really is. Those guys are at a cross road. Yes, those that got mail are qualified to work with us, but how many of them do we absorb, considering the situation of things? Ok, why don't we wait till so and so time till things will improve? Alright, until then, let's inform them that the process is ongoing without any form of commiitment. That is the situation I think. Remember, the mail says: 'with reference to your participation in AC'.
ladyF:
It's best if you guys keep an open mind still. As far as I'm concerned, NLNG didn't do anybody anybody any good by sending out "recruitment is still ongoing", I mean, we all know/knew the recruitment is/wasn't finished yet, none of us needed a reminder for that.

Interpreting it as a success mail will be a sorry case of counting ones chickens before they hatch. What stopped them from making it less ambiguous? Maybe they should have even sent a blank mail...it's almost the same thing!!!!!! angry

Anyway sha...Happy New Work to Forkadict smiley and Happy New Month to everyone. kiss

Humans and our 'Oliver twist' nature. We never really get satisfied. We clamour for a little and when we get it, we demand for yet more. I remember very clearly that almost everyone here was angry with Nlng for their lack of communication. We were saying that they should atleast inform us about our status so that those who didn't make it can move on. Although late, they have eventually met our least expectation. Now, we want them to ask us to resume right away. I can understand such desperation, cos we are long over due. However, let's not be sentimental about the whole thing. You would agree with me that the stakeholders want to continue in business even into the future. The stakeholders and management must have met to discuss the best way forward, considering the current shape of things in the industry. They know they need us for the future of the company. But their business is going down. Even big players in the industry are experiencing the bite. They have to match their present needs with their future needs ( that's the essence of sustainability). I don't think it is economically expedient to absorb all GTs right away. Yes, the last GTs have been upgraded, but would bringing the new GTs cause more harm than good, considering the present situation? It's really a dicey situation for them, we must admit. The best they can do is absorb us in drabs and drabs or wait till things look up. However it is, # I still believe in Jah's undeserved kindness

Dude, please there is no need for names calling. Absolutely not necessary. Whoever wants to disclose his status or not is as free as the air to do as he so desires. You may not have a wrong motive for wanting to know a person's status, but you may be misunderstood. Like someone suggested, a pm may just suffice.

vantage7:
That only a few people came here and said they got regret mails doesn't mean they were only a few in total. 100% of the people I know personally that did AC got regret mails. The only thing I can say that probably explains the few regret acknowledgements (apart from some of them deciding not to share) is that probably a sizeable percentage of the active followers of this thread got the "still in the running" mail. I mean, I think there aren't more than 100 active followers of this thread post-shl. Just my analysis.

Granted, Nlng has really made us to feel bad by keeping us in the dark, but laughter and smile have a way of calming us down. Let's not allow Nlng dictate our happiness. Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by ItsTime4me(m): 9:23pm On Jan 23, 2016
Exactly the point. If Nlng does anything short of this, then I would confirm that the Management ( not the HR, cos they get directives from the management) are not smart. Even when they eventually call me, I will not honour it, cos I can't work under such a management. The only condition that would make me accept an offer is if they accept my condition to make me a management staff so I can teach them how to run things ( don't under-rate GTs o)
vantage7:
Good. I just hope the message won't just be that the recruitment process has been put on hold till Q3/Q4 and that's all. I really hope they free those they won't be needing and let the rest wait till whenever it is that they've decided whether Q3/Q4 or sooner or whenever. Just let them not keep over 500 people in limbo for nothing.

For those proposing that we should send them an avalanche of mails, well not a bad idea, but I can assure you that it won't change anything. Well, no harm in trying though. But I sincerely think it's best to give them a break. I know they will send us mails, which they should have done since, but they are still confused about the content of the mails. Na wa for Nlng management. They gave us just five minutes to do fact-finding, but to use 5months+ to make a decision on a recruitment process that has lasted for upward of 3years is like rocket science for them. Nigerians!
