Education › JAMB: How A Lost Sim Has Put My Brother In Jeopardy by itzzkhaliii(op): 9:02pm On Sep 13, 2020
Greetings to elders, I have so much respect for this forum as person they struggle with one isissue I say ma carryam come elders forum.

It all began last 2- weeks when my brother wanted to apply for his P-UTME exam. But to do so the school he applied for required him to change his course as his cut off mark for the course he applied before hasn't reached. This is necessary for him to be considered among those that will be shortlisted to Sit for exam.

We went to Jamb CBT to change his course and go ahead with the P-UTME registration. This is where The problems started unfolding. We Came to realize that he used my mum's number to open his jamb profile, and the sad thing is that they had stolen my mum's phone with that sim in it last two months. She lived for some weeks without phone before going ahead to buy a phone and a new sim.

So when the CBT guy told us that we will need that sim for change of course to be possible. We went to jamb office here in Kaduna and they confirmed the CBT guy statement. We went for the sim swap last monday but Mtn told us that since the sim pack wasn't available she will have to do a court affidavit. We got the affidavit instantly but there was a lot of que when we go back to the Mtn office.

We have to leave it till Tuesday, we went early morning when it was her turn for the swap she went ahead but one surprising thing is that the same sim that she bought and registered by herself 5- years ago turned out to be displaying a different person pix with details.

That's where real wahala start ooo, the Mtn agent told her that there is no way that sim swap will be done because it wasn't her pix in the profile. He told her that what actually happens was that the people she bought the sim from where just business men disguising themselves as Mtn agent, they are just after to sale their sim card in order to gain profit. They will offer you a registered sim as unregistered and take you through the process of registering as if that was the exact Time the registering is taking place.

At the end we trird other Mtn offices but the same answer was given to us the only way out was to look for the person whose pix is displaying to come by himself and do the swapping. This is a person my mum has never met in her entire life she don't even know him.

Remember that she was just a victim of a circumstance that's beyond her control and anybody can fall for it. I can't even comprehend how an innocent student will waste another year at home as result of a missing sim or number.

Pls I am begging on fellow elders in the house or anyone that has been in similar situation like this or know someone that has come across a similar problem and was able to solve it to pls help my brother out he has already wasted a year at home.

Pls help me out

Well, many of the doctors he trained still practice in this country. He was also active in the setting up of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, and also wrote many papers and textbooks, including the noted Compendium of Clinical Medicine (which I used in medical school by the way)

I should note that I am a Nigerian doctor, practicing in Nigeria, trained in Nigeria and currently doing residency in Nigeria. Not all of us went abroad.
#Respect Dr. fact

Also, medical care has improved in Nigeria. As an example, in my home village 60 years ago, if you fell seriously sick, the nearest proper hospital was 2-3 hours away. Now, it's just 30 minutes away.

If it wasn't for people like him, many of the doctors and nurses you see in Nigeria won't have been here.

Plus, doctors and nurses treat many Nigerians sucessfully every day. The problem is, the press reports the bad cases, and keeps quiet about the good cases.

Well to use an example....Professor Ben Nwabueze, the legal expert, was spnsored to school by a relatively well to do relative. When he was ready to go to university, he applied for a scholarship which was offered by the Colonial authorities for promising youth

Mass free education started under Awolowo, and later under the Army rule (espicially via UPE). Today, most primary and secondary government schools are free (but poorly equipped)..

Well, NMA has been going on strike, and screaming about how bad the health system has been for deacdes. It's because most Nigerians think it is about their pockets all the time.

Also, healthcare is poorly funded . We have a budget of $26billion this year, out of which we spend about $3 billion on health. Many European countries spend at least $100billion on health.

Where's that Farouk guy self??

Old Professors just disappear leaving only one professor (Beckplanet) in this thread. Haykay2005 will just visit us like a Nigerian lecturer teaching in 4 universities, drop handout and disappear.

Beckplanet : The Vice chancellor Nairaland University of Domains.

TherealMcCain : Professor Brandable Domains ( This one, to pass his course, you must buy handout)

IdeasPro : Professor, General Study courses on online business both domains, blogging, Upwork, fiver etc.

Tranxo : Associate professor ( To graduate for this one course, you need to go to sarcasm school. His student are always afraid to ask questions because his comeback will tell you to start from Page one again.)

Ikhalyfah, Promxy24, olyboy, Channel5 and those that i didn't mention are all Doctorate degrees in Domains.

Make i no forget Iykepromotions : The owner of the university.

ElonMosque : one of the popular students whose CGPA is 4.5. He wanna graduate with first class to enable him further his studies in order to be a professor cheesy

Lemme share this, as it will help other beginners like me.

To find the the head of the business(owner, president, director, ceo, etc) follow this:

Method 1:

1. Go to the about us page, try to read what they wrote there slowly, they sometimes say the founder/owner of the business.

2. If you find the name of the owner or anyone of high position, go on Google and type the "owner's name + the company's name + LinkedIn" ( Eg John Mendes, Jacksonville deck builders LinkedIn).

Click on the result, when the person's LinkedIn profile comes up in search results

When on the person's profile, use a LinkedIn email scraper to find the person's email.

Method 2:

1. If you can't find the owner's email or anyone of authority. Just go to google and type the company's name plus the word LinkedIn(Eg, Jacksonville deck builders linkedin)

2. When on the company's page, scroll down and check their employees. Find people in position of authority that can make decisions, enter their profile and use a LinkedIn email scraper to find their mail.

Method 3:

1. When on the website look for the LinkedIn social media icon( that's if they have social icons on their website) and click it, it will take you to their profile page. Use method 2 to find their email.

LinkedIn email scraper you can use

In order of importance(these are chrome extensions)

6.Signal hire (just 5 free credits, but at least you can find 5 people emails with it for free)

5. Email hunter( someone mentioned it here)

4. Snovio

3. Leadleaper

2. Adept prospector (my second best LinkedIn email scraper)

1. SalesQL(my best so far, if others can't find a profiles email, this one will find it. If it can't find one. Then you'll likely not find it with the other email scrapers I mentioned)

I use all these chrome extension together.

I hope this helps other beginners like me. Abeg I no proofread, so there might be errors.
I swear a day without this thread will be like a week or month behind everyday na vital information go they drop by real Hustlers I mean legit ones,me no see sale up to now but I am satisfied and grateful to the sacrifices of our follow bosses,Its not easy but the joy in this thread is enough for someone to be comfortable.

The hope is always alive me that one can be next and he is not in the wrong path More sales to everyone and all thanks to all that are contributing.Let's push a little bit harder it will be well by His Special Grace.

my father Is an hypertensive patient I'm scared
I am sorry for your tragedy this seem very trying moment of your time, To be sincere hiding it to them its not an option but considering all that you have said it is really a source of concern revealing this sad incident to them, to me it seems too early to inform them about your tragedy you are just starting and to everyone that will hear about it will think its your fault.
But sincerely I can't blame any students for a failure that's beyond his control,I can relate with your tragedy and I felt how bad amd intense it seems the trauma and everything, depression and all sort of things you are passing through.
My simple advice those goes like this Firstly you need to be strong and failure sometimes come as a disappointment to us but our creator has a special reason behind it that we can only realize later in life.

Dreamers always don't give up,if you hear the stories of must medical students nowadays you will be amazed of the grudges they pass through failure is part of the system you are not just lucky to scale through your level 1.
Haven't said that my advice is it's not too late to start again obtain your jamb accept any department they gave you read for your jamb and also continue with the given program, try as much as possible to make your score and also connection since you are already in the system, reapply for that course If you are favoured start afresh you see you will go all through this without them knowing if the thing favoured you you can explain to them that you have to repeat some years that's why you are delayed,As most medical students know that resitting or even repeating is normal to some extent.
If it still didn't favour you which might not be my wish after you finish your level 2 by that time you can inform them that you have been withdrawn I sm sure they will believe you have gone a little bit far and the pain to them will be less.
Pls pardon my typo errors and the long epistle
#Be strong brother it will be well

I don't check metrics (competition and co).
I only check the end users and population, then there are some combination i prefer.

U can check my small tutorial on Geo domain ranking.

I don't even check what was on it if it's geo, there is an end user that had to make me check who was using d domain previously.

Regarding the achieve, i have not come across 2020 too
