I think after campaign and elections our so called leaders need to drop this opposition fanaticism and embrace good governance, development and also foster an environment that can enable them work with the federal or central government to make do better things.

I thought the staff of NSCDC are Nigerians and possibly sons and daughters of Ekiti state. They also perform security duties that help the state.

Well, its not a very pleasant development, but for our already rotten society with failed standards, I think discipline has to be pushed further because its not available in most secondary schools any more neither in homes.
After graduation, anyone can grow their hair as long or make it anyway they want if they feel it suits their profession.

Nigeria has been paying billions to militants for years and several to youths to sell their rights to vote sincerely. This move is a step in the right direction to ensure youths see some reward for choosing education.

In Nigeria the driver will not be investigated
1. If he can be calm and make a few calls.
2. If his friends arrive the scene and able to "resolve the matter" and fix damages.
3. If its a Hilux truck in PH he already has 50%recognition in this situation.
4. If it was not just a smart cover-up story no problem because medical fitness of the driver may not be queried.
5. I hope he got first aid and an Inhaler quickly after the crash.
Thank God no one was hurt but for some seconds the driver and other road users had been in danger.
I hope this is not something that will happen to this driver ever again.

Means that state is so poorly equipped to handle fires. No special equipment for filling station fire.
What kind of filling station is situated among blocks of residential buildings with only a few meters apart?

As a state governor, shouldn't he be expecting to have a superior up to date response from emergency services in his state? Is he a trained fire fighter?

Some things don't make sense.
If he was on ground observing the state fire men do a good job would be different, I hope he thinks properly about the lapses in emergency response seen here. Emergency area should be cleared off of civilians and the emergency services taking control of the situation. As governeor he should be seeing this on the TV as the story developed.

The government in River state cannot move the menace of Trans-Amadi slaughter market till date. Rivers State does not have the will to remove nuisance market places, stop street trading, remove bushes from the city, clean up sand on the streets, use of highway or street pavements as refuse dumps etc.
The Government in Lagos are forcing development every year. Congrats Lagos.

Development in the Niger Delta region would not have come so just by having a president from the region but would have been a continuous thing if the dividends of Nigeria's oil production had been duly paid to the area from inception and again properly utilized by governments in the region all this years.
However GEJ could have started something and ensured that the right policies to sustain Niger Delta development were put in place especially with the arms struggle in the region.
Instead the federal government glorified militancy through the period and never structured any strong sustainable policies towards development.

With this, his people worship him.
