a child there who grew up to become a US senator.

Arabic is part of Nigeria's history, it was adopted by both the north and south. The missionaries were successful in getting rid of it in South easily and earlier, but not the north. It's a major language with French, my brother's school offered it with French and alot of Christians enrolled.

This government wasn't responsible for the change but a Christian-led government. If no one made noise then, why now? They're millions of Arab Christians, in fact these Christians are older than most Christians in the West.

At no time is Arabic language an important language in
any part of the south, it was limited to the clerics.

Arabic language is a tool of Arab imperialism as can be
seen in North Africa where indigenous berbers have been
culturally enslaved.

Almajiris have been learning arabic for ages right from birth, yet it didn't
improve their condition. Why will anyone adopt such a failed language ?
What has been the positive effect of the north resisting early education ?

If you want your kids to learn Arabic, enrol them in a muslim shcool or

isn't much of a secret to be discovered.

However, this is the present day Nigeria, government funding of Arabic language is
a waste of resources,it is only useful for muslims, unless you believe it is time for
muslims to take their pound of flesh, you shouldn't support adding Arabic to the national
curriculum.

Some christians are radicals and myopic. Whats wrong with arabic being taught in schools. Its the most widely spoken language in all of africa. No language comes close. Yet, all you can see and say is what your pastors throw into your dull skulls. What of english that has been taught for ages since the time of the missionaries. Did muslims cry foul. I studied french in secondary school. Did it turn me into a french man. Rubbish. So many illiterates that are boko haram in their thought process.

mother tongue, english to teach, muslims refuse to send their children to

In my days at MBHs, my friends and I do attend Christian fellowship together, and after collecting their biscuits and sweets, we'll run down to observe jumah service.
