I already said that we will score 3-1, we will see what happens. |

Peaches90: Mine was watching my mom die of a terminal illness! She gave up the ghost right in my arms, that was 9 years ago. The second was having Chicken pox as an adult last february. I still have goose bumps when I think about it...the doc was treating me for bacterial infection/ reaction to Fansidar, till my whole face and scalp was covered in rash and itching!Oh Baby, hugs. I truly feel your pain. Can I massage your heart? Here-----it's going to be alright, okay Baby. joangirl: My ex boy friend who was very wicked to me,beat me,insulted me at every given instance and even threw me out naked at the middle of the night is getting married this saturday and everybody is congratulating him and wishing him the best.I feel so so angry right now. I dont want him back cos I called it off when it got to a point I couldn't bear it any longer.I just feel bitter that a man who was wicked to me is happy smiling(saw the engagement pics on fb)and everybody is congratulating him.I think this is the most traumatic experience of my life cos I can't sleep, have been so irritated since he personally called me to invite me for the wedding.he lives close to the house so everybody would know about the wedding very soon.and me I can't boast of a boyfriend.feeling so bad, father lord pls c me thruYour joy is coming soon dearie. We all deserve to be happy. aaliyaSA: I'm surprised at how easy it is to share a traumatic experience on a forum with a whole lot of strangers n yet u won't talk about it to the people closest to u. My most traumatic experience would b finding out at 9weeks pregnant that my baby has a chhromosomal abnormality and that I would either miscarry or my baby wld b stilborn or live only for a few hrs. Then to carry full term knowing this and anticipating the worst, having a C Section and then holding ur baby for 5hrs waiting for the last breathe.Oh Baby, be consoled-----okay Baby? I am not one to share stuffs like that online, whatever things I have encountered in Life made me the person I am and made me sensitive to the pains of others, for that I am grateful to God. |
I was going to say for you not to allow the "imperfections of your father" hold you down and my eyes caught that Okija-juju's growing-up story below and his summary seems to say the same thing I was about to say. Your father is all "roary" and abusive because that is what he thinks a man in his position in a family should be doing even when some of us know that there are other ways to be the man of the house that does not involve abusing your wife and baby girl. It is true that a child should not be spared and allowed to spoil, some people overdo things with the fear of raising an unruly child and while thinking "I will beat hell out of these children in order to beat 'responsibleness' into them" scar their children, hurt them deeply and put a wedge between themselves and their kids without knowing it. Did you say that he beats you and your mum? It's scary thinking of him scaring one of you someday. You shouldn't fold hand and be getting beatings from him----speak out to one or two uncles or aunts to see whether they can interceed and make him stop so that he doesn't injure one of you please. You sound intelligent, don't let his limitations limit you from being all you can be. You seem to me like a youth that has a great future laid like a carpet in front of her. Go ahead and be the best you can be, the fact that he called you "silly and crazy" does not mean that you are. Don't believe him. Believe in yourself and in all the beautiful things you believe you can be. Hugs to you.
I was raised under similar conditions.. My mother beat me like a criminal.. She used electric wires (the high guage ones that is found on the pole).. At some point shes started to tie me to the table to beat me.. Every form of dignity, self respect and worth left me.. She would say things like 'You will beg your siblings for money and I will not be alive to see them give you a dime".. MY MOTHER SAID THIS TO ME.. My mother would curse and swear and all worth not to me in front of her friends and even brag about it.. She came to school, bought canes, gave to about 4 teachers and had them flog me simultaneously.. She made me kneel down outsid her office which was along a major road and all and sundry could see me.. I got punished for playing with the neighbours kids from within the confines of our corridor.. I grew up hating her and at one point contemplated shooting her with my fathers gun he kept in his room.. I felt all sorts of emotions, hate, worthlessness, inferior, less than human and it goes on... And no she didnt do it to any of my other siblings.. HOWEVER!!!! I am a grown arse man now.. I would be a father by next year.. I have had a shitload of time on my hands to look back and reflect and think to see if that woman I hated was really as evil as I thought her to be then and the truth is that she really did all those things to me because that was the only way she knew how to raise me.. I grew up to be a strong willed, tought and resilient man.. She raised a fine man and I am very proud of her.. My mum was a lunatic, but shes was the best mother she could be to me and I can only say that today because I am older and can understand things a bit clearer.. In all her madness, on my 16th birthday, she gave me her only car as a birthday gift.. When I had a life changing accident, she stood by and nursed me back to health.. She bent back triple time to make sure I got sent abroad to school even when my father said he couldnt comfortably afford it then... I could count for you alot of thinsg like that.. I spoke to her recently about the way she raised me and do you know what she said; I know I was very rough with you, however, I have no apology.. Look at yourself in the mirror!! My point is that its hard to find perfect parents, but if you can find any upside to your parents at all, then I suggest she calms down, they are only being the best they can be.. they are only a product of their individual personalities and upbringing.. I wouldnt raise my kids the way my mum raised me, however, I am never gonna call her a bad mother because she wasnt!!
|
I read Sweet lemon's thread and my heart went out to her. https://www.nairaland.com/1179821/final-official-goodbyes Sweetlemon this is just to tell you not to feel too unhappy, okay Baby? If you want to be having fun in Nairaland, don't allow what others say about you affect you. Avoid people that make you sick and stay on the happy lane. Don't say goodbye to us and go and sulk and be unhappy, we want you to be happy, okay Baby. Hugs, hugs! Moderator you can close this thread, I don't intend it to run. I only want to reach out to NL poster Sweetlemon, her thread has been closed already and I couldn't post there. |
I truly pity the people living in the dust-fogged-up City of China shown in the picture below. How do they get to breathe? Such pollution will make me want to run out of the city if I live there----Jeez! They should hurry up and buy up the canned air (whether na "tongue-in-cheek" campaign or not) so that one can at least get a little relief and get to breath in from the air can at intervals.
|
abhosts: I have been to different cities in China and I did not find anything wrong with the air.I understand why you didn't find anything wrong with the thickly polluted air in some parts of China (which one can even almost touch when shown in television screens---wow!), it may be because certain cities in Nigeria seriously have this same pollution problem or am I the only person that notices the dust-filled-air in Abuja, Lagos and Onitsha? I am surprised nobody mentioned that we have this same pollution problem though not as terrible as it is in China but what is good about inhaling dust/smoke? On a certain day my nose was almost crying from despair after inhaling a great quantity of dust filled air in the streets of Lagos. Abuja also has this dusty fog about the city, the city experienced much harmattan than most places so I can't say whether the dust filled air is from harmattan or simply air pollution. I saw someone in Abuja moving about with a nose mask and I was like "most of us may be needing that soon". I pray that road construction speeds up in our country so that the contribution of dust from sand to the pollution menace will be reduced, we won't have a great number of cars riding on sandy roads stirring up dust and making people uncomfortable---even when we have all roads paved neatly we may still have some of that as we just can't queue up in traffic in Naija with everybody looking for Appian way-----it's crazy. If you have lived in/been to cities with pure air, you will know a dust filled air when you see it. All in all I still love my Naija biko. |
It isn't nice that she steals the things you are selling to earn a living for your family. How about drawing her closer to you, she is better off a friend than a disrespectful enemy. ![]() Yeah, relax and cut out the "She-must-call-me-Aunty-or-Mama Ejiro" part, there's no big deal about being called Aunty. You are almost being ridiculous hammering on that. You went ordering to be called that and it got to a head where she now dares you by calling you your name and stirring up things. A better/closer relationship between you two will exclude all these disharmonies, have both of you chilling happily as sisters in law. I would have said that you give her a piece of jewel as a gift with a stern explanation that you sell these things to be able to feed your children which will give her the message never to steal them but the ones she stole are painful enough. Hey! even if you end up as friends, why don't you do yourself a favour and lock up such valuables in a safe place. All in all, your husband needs to address the stealing habit of his sister seriously. |
Gotta watch that match. I have a feeling that we may beat them 3-1. ![]() |
Amazing.he's got talent.he looks like a drawing himself.so handsome
There she goes-----Hey! take it easy while you fall for him, don't go tripping all over yourself |
Cameras show us pictures of persons, Kelvin's pencil delves deeper. He shows the very life and soul of a person to viewers through his drawing. What a talent!
There are two things that easily bring fulfillment in life, first is what u love and the second is what brings you money. If what you love is also what brings you money, then you are certainly on top of your career. If the reverse is the case, it may leave you miseable. This is why there are alot of frustrated graduates and on the other end, there are so many happy self-employed individuals.

Brother, wherever you are and whenever you come back and go through this thread, just know that somebody somewhere is saying thank you for your post.i have being confused for some years about my happiness and depression. i work as a graduate and earn at least over hundred thousand every month but yet i m not a fully happy single with no burden. your post today made me realize exactly what went wrong "What you love and What is bringing you money" If what you love is not what is bringing you money it will often result to depression. I would try and work on it. or if you got another encouraging idea please post it ok.
In as much as the quote above that inspired you is a nice one, don't forget that there are other side things/businesses one may not love very much but that still brings in the money. People diversify business interest in order to have many options that bring in money. All in all I agree that the persons doing what they love most for a living are not even working but having fun. ![]() |
The Excerpt below said more on cyber bullying and encouraged people to report it to authorities in charge, that is for countries that are enacting laws against that---- Cyberbullying The practice of cyberbullying is not limited to children and, while the behavior is identified by the same definition when practiced by adults, the distinction in age groups sometimes refers to the abuse as cyberstalking or cyberharassment when perpetrated by adults toward adults. Cyberbullying is not limited to personal attacks or children. Cyberharassment, referred to as cyberstalking when involving adults, takes place in the workplace or on company web sites, blogs or product reviews. A survey of 1,072 workers by the Dignity and Work Partnership found that one in five had been bullied at work by e-mail and research has revealed 1 in 10 UK employees believes cyberbullying is a problem in their workplace. Common tactics used by cyberstalkers are performed in public forums, social media or online information sites and are intended to threaten a victim's earnings, employment, reputation, or safety. Behaviors may include encouraging others to harass the victim and trying to affect a victim's online participation. Many cyberstalkers try to damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them. Cyberstalking may include false accusations, monitoring, making threats, identity theft, damage to data or equipment, the solicitation of minors for sex, or gathering information in order to harass. A repeated pattern of such actions and harassment against a target by an adult constitutes cyberstalking.Cyberstalking often features linked patterns of online and offline behavior. There are consequences of law in offline stalking and online stalking, and cyber-stalkers can be put in jail.[4] Cyberstalking is a form of cyberbullying.[citation needed] Legislation against cyberbullying United States Legislation geared at penalizing cyberbullying has been introduced in a number of U.S. states including New York, Missouri, Rhode Island and Maryland. At least seven states passed laws against digital harassment in 2007. Dardenne Prairie of Springfield, Missouri, passed a city ordinance making online harassment a misdemeanor. The city of St. Charles, Missouri has passed a similar ordinance. Missouri is among other states where lawmakers are pursuing state legislation, with a task forces expected to have “cyberbullying” laws drafted and implemented.[43] In June, 2008, Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.) and Rep. Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.) proposed a federal law that would criminalize acts of cyberbullying.[44] Lawmakers are seeking to address cyberbullying with new legislation because there's currently no specific law on the books that deals with it. A fairly new federal cyberstalking law might address such acts, according to Parry Aftab, but no one has been prosecuted under it yet. The proposed federal law would make it illegal to use electronic means to "coerce, intimidate, harass or cause other substantial emotional distress." A recent ruling first seen in the UK determined that it is possible for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to be liable for the content of sites which it hosts, setting a precedent that any ISP should treat a notice of complaint seriously and investigate it immediately. |
@Jidegirl I salute you for seeing the truth and speaking it out like one other poster TheMadame or something. You are one outspoken person that speaks out without looking at faces in this section. You have one of my attributes, I don't follow the crowd nor lick up as*s. E-Bullying goes on here (I said it!). Adults bully others in forums like these just like kids get bullied in schools/playground. Only a handful of people see this thing clearly, Ileobatajo seems to know this too which is why she is just smiling at the title of the thread. How about they work against bullying here in the forum? Some persons can be very affected by what others say to them online which is why the habitual/disgusting "start-a-thread-and-it-turns-into-a-battle-ground" and other forms of bullying should be discouraged. It amazes me that the ability to throw heaps of words on others is almost the yardstick being used to determine who can outbox others and such persons are held in awe and respected etc. As for me I have a better way of dealing with it which is making sure that I don't read up vile words directed at me that way bullies can't get to me one bit. On the other hand children should be encouraged to speak up to their parents/teachers/wards if anybody ever threatens/bullies them and not keep mute and wallow in fearfulness or even worse harbour harmful/suicidal thoughts. Bullying ain't just right. |
Whoever it is that had the heart to bury a child alive is stonehearted-o-o. Jeez! (It's all goosy pimple to think about) Make una no dey look down on women that had babies out of wedlock and these girls won't be dumping away/killing their children abeg. These women were impregnated by men, they didn't impregnate themselves. It is the same men that impregnate them that will consider them rotten and look around for "never had a child" lady that is more marriageable. Let's start being real people and be facing these squarely, the more we spit at such things the more babies are getting killed off. There are countries that accept these as part of living, high time we did. |
Poster i hope that it wasn't ur virginity that you gave away because a smooth talker sang u two lines of carefully worded lyrics? He had to even come online to shout it on the mountains. Jeez! Deed is done sha, choose which program u really want to do & seriously get on. Channel has got good lyrics, hold ur head up & be sensible wt him. Hope it wasn't 190 that opened these 2 threads? |
I later checked your posts & got to understand that u were writing through your husband's NL ID. You didn't mention in your first post that he beats you. I hope the police handling the matter will help stop him from ever beating u again. |
The first one is tasteless, classless, gutterishly disgusting because no woman should pose in such a crude way. The second is naughty & nice in my book but she doesn't have bums big enough to make that second one hot. |
Poster your username makes one think twice about your thread sha. You are being a good woman trying your best to pull your family together as well as find the solution to the problem. He seems to be overdoing the Ganja thing with the way it's causing disharmony and financial stress. Ordinary people out there in the street, people you won't believe will ever touch that stuff smoke ganja so don't feel like "I'm finished ,he smokes ganja". I have heard that it helps creativity to some extent, is medicinal to some extent which is one of the bases why there is an ongoing controversy about legalizing the use of small quantity of ganja in some countries (I don't like having such substances in my body though). Try and stop feeling too overwhelmed about it, he's already taking it. Act like "okay I understand this thing Sweetie but let's not overdo this" and work at helping him minimize the use until who knows he may withdraw totally. Don't be using the "ganja is evil and evil has overtaking you" approach, it can only make him rebellious and push him more into it. I know that some may frown at my view of it because in our country some people just can't handle the thought of Ganja, once it's mentioned people conceive evil and bad I guess that's one of the reasons you are overwhelmed too. I have no problem if a man decides to take a little of that once in a while, what i won't support is excessive use of that. If he started delving into it after he lost his job then it might be out of unhappiness so see how you can make great effort to help him in the job search, if he gets a job he will minimize all these as he will be happier and will make effort to keep his job. It will be nice to seek professional help too, you can tell him that it's for them to help him minimize it and at the end of the day they may help him stop it all. Just for you to be able to get through to him without creating a riff/divide between you too. Know that the decision to minimize this or stop entirely has to come from him the user, so see how you can help him make a decision that will make things better. Solving an addiction problem begins with the affected person deciding and making steps to garner control against whatever it is he/she is addicted to and being controlled by. Keep praying for him too that God will help him break that addiction and see your family through it. Hugs to you. |
The two friends liming and chilling in the Jacuzzi are the baddest, Lol. Bad pass Tony Montana, the happiest too. Who even went around categorizing countries & rating them on a scale of sadness? Sadness is a state of mind, the things happening in a country or around one isn't a criteria to use to consider one sad. Humans have control over sadness & happiness. You choose to be happy. |
Good one Hard Don though a pregnant woman needs patience & some pamperings when it comes to all that grinding away u listed there. I hope what u explained in #3 isn't an*l sex cause that is disgusting? I don't think that is good for a preggy lady. |
Happy for you girl. I did tell u that there has to be a way round it. It's nice that all things are working together for good. |
Yeah, Flavour deducted a great percentage from himself in that shaky shaky trash in which he lined up some ladies and had them shaking booties in a demeaning way. It's true that music nowadays is marketed wt soft sex of appealing sexy ladies making sexy moves bt they have to carry themselves well while at it not demeaning womanhood b/c they gotta shake bum for Flavour.I see some Naija musicians overdoing that.I admire the confidence Davido oozes in his video bt he should cut out disrespecting women's body |
Happy new year Jallow. Ought to have replied ur mail but when i wanted to do that couldn't find ur last mail. Will search for it later. Oh dear! Indeed it's only when it happens to one that one realizes the magnitude of the pain. Do accept my sympathy bros and console ur mum pls. Nothing hurts like that. |
The Fella is a p*ssy for killing himself over a p*ssy. Now that he has proved that he can't do without her--what next? Life can only but go on. May he rest in peace all the same. It's a pity that the p*ssy he died for is enjoying life & will continue to get freaked up. Lesson to young men, don't die or even kill for p*ssy. Love it up,juice it up & get living. Yeah yeah but only a legal one pls. Hahaha, naughty. |
