Thanks Babes, you too.
Your own comments come in season as in it doesn't always come but when Shy-one speaks everybody knows Shy-one has spoken.
If it isn't followed by some goose-bumping/thought-provoking silence, it is followed by uproars  grin grin

Girl those stuffs are not in my character one bit. I love my peace but when my dignity or that of others around me gets matched upon, I arise to it.
Just do me a favour and quit reading sickening posts of some sick people and your life is healthier. Mark my word for it.
The words they type are their sword, daggers and bombs. These weapons can only reach the targets who read them. Once you don't go absorbing it by reading it, you are safe from those weapons of words.
Let's live happily while awaiting another technology that can enable some bitter persons shoot others down with a gun through the internet until then no weapons of words can penetrate me here.  wink wink grin cool

Currently, family members of the shell-shocked Angela are at crossroads. While they are making spirited efforts to restore the still-unconscious Angela to health, they are in a dilemma over what to do with the two month-old marriage. What should Angela dohuh??!!!!

The game playing in us Nigerians is becoming outrageous. If it is not the men giving a "she must be pregnant for me to validate her fertility before marrying her" ultimatum it is the ladies trapping the men with pregnancies. Most of you deserve yourselves sha because girls seem to be beating you guys at your own games nowadays. She even tightened up her own side of the game pitch with some prophetess stories and had you running scared. Poster if you search among the threads here you will find out that girls are upping their games nowadays, one went to the extent of forging birth certificate to lie about her age to her younger man who realized he has been played after the wedding .  She should respect your brain and intelligence and cut out that crap about the prophecy that you may become childless, why was she not the one prophesized to never have another child if she aborts this one? (abeg i no support abortion-o-o, make una deliver una child---don't kill pls). All of una fit unaself. undecided huh cool

As you were already planning to marry her, try harder at convincing your parents, difference in tribe is not enough reason not to marry one's choice.
If not that you already had in mind to marry her, I will say that her being pregnant is not enough reason to marry yet it is important that you take care of the child when born . It is not the best thing to hurriedly marry for pregnancy when you are not ready to marry or if you don't love her enough to marry her so as to avoid ending up shackled together and unhappy but like you said you already had that it in mind to marry her.

I hope you win over your parents if not for anything make another naija lady add again to the statistics of the girls beating the boys to this funny games some of you are playing. Hey! I didn't talk down on your lady biko as you can see i was patriotic to my fellow girls. Let the game continue----huh.

They give heavy sex while the so call good girls pretend and give little or no sex. Sex some times works for the men. One of them caught my heart with heavy sex. I married her and we had 2 children. Now she is not interested in the sex thing again and I am getting frustrated and is looking towards another bad girl to meet up with my routine sex.
Oh gosh, I am just seeing this, did you really do this poster. I should really laugh at you because I belong to the your "so-called-good-girls" group but I still pity your situation. Don't I like it a bit when some bad*ss girls beat you guys to your heartless games just to get called  "madam" in as much as i detest all that man-woman drama and game playing.

So s*x was all there was to it and now that the s*x is gone, there is nothing left? Why don't you lay the cards on the table to your game partner? A line like "I was trapped by the heavy doses of s*x you give and now that the chain is off me----what are we gonna do about it"?
The game gotta have some rules definitely loverboy.

You discovered your mistake and you still want to repeat it  and run after another "bad girl" (according to you). My friend there's more to a woman than her nether region. How about her heart, her person, her behaviour, her beliefs, her domesticity, aspirations and goals, her outlook to life?------these are the things I should also be looking at when approaching a woman if I were a man.

It seems to me that you are plain bored and just needing some excitement and finding an excuse with the "I never loved her" story.
If it's merely boredom dear find a way to spice up things with your wife. If you are not down with your s*x life overhaul it so that you can get the satisfaction you crave for.
Note that it is not abnormal for a man to get stirred up by other women or entertain thoughts of having them. A lot of men experience that too, what differentiates a responsible man from an irresponsible one on that issue is the integrity that makes the responsible one respect his woman and be faithful and not run after other women chasing after his wildest dream.

Married couples are always advised to find a way to add fun to their sex life so that the variation and excitement can still make the man feel like he has the Polygamy in his fantasy in the midst of his Monogamy. A kind of wifey finding her way of being all that you need (hey! I didn't mean that she should satisfy perverted whims just some normal fantasies) for example if you long a little freaky dress up here and a little s*x video there. You can introduce it to your wife if you were not doing that together already----just let her be your lil freak and you don't have to start considering polygamy unless the problem is bigger than that.[/s]

Low cut gives the most responsible look no doubt but it baffles me to see some men talk on and on about needing a hair cut and when you look for the hair they want to go get rid of you won't see anything. Do they have to always cut it even when it's super low?

I like to see a well kept and neat dread especially the ones with a little straight carved hair on the edges, it adds some sophs to it.
I don't like lumpy, irregular and dusty-looking/dirty dreads that make you dodge and give the owner some distance when they are around you.
I like me a good mohawk too, a bit grown out mohawk. The mohawk thing did look a bit irresponsible when it came in vogue but I find it hippie & sophy nowadays once it doesn't make the person look funny. It looks out-of-this world lovely on the head of some people.

Note this

In one of the threads we opened asking for direction/contacts to charity organisation somebody reminded me of the "DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS" organisation which wasn't a bad idea.
Their website indicated that-----
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization working in nearly 70 countries to assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe. Doctors and nurses volunteer to provide urgent medical care in countries to victims of war and disaster regardless of race, religion, or politics. You can read more about them here    http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org

I highlighted some areas there to draw your attention to a factor you can lay your hand on and use to approach them.

This is their contact Info in the United States

USA Headquarters
333 7th Avenue, 2nd Floor
New York, NY  10001-5004

Phone: 212-679-6800
Fax: 212-679-7016

I didn't find any email address for them but if you want to send an e-mail you can click  on this http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/contact/ and click on the arrow in the menu bar at the place they wrote Email, choose "Questions/Research about MSF" and an e mail box will open through which you can send them an e-mail.

Hey! If your words are properly worded this can make the impact you need. I have no doubt that if you handle this well that you will get a listening ear from them. In your first mail you can request that an officer give you a good e-mail address through which you can forward them the pictures,X- rays and other stuffs okay or you can call them on the phone to get an e-mail address. You can get started on this first and send them a mail to begin communication with them. See how you can follow this organisation until you get a positive response from them, we truly want to see you get the medical help you need. I am still available to render any secretarial service/help you need when mailing them okay.

It sure is a wonderful year to be in. I am loving this year!

Please people let us all pray  that our world will not encounter the different unfriendly calamities that was experienced the past year.
Those calamities that went with the political unrests: the deaths, maiming and injuring that resulted from it all. The broken hearts of the bereaved, the pains of the injured. The bombings. The natural calamities, the tsunamis and the earthquake and landslides. Oh Gosh! The thousands that died from it all. May God heal the broken hearted and the wounded alike.

This is a great year of love, unity, progress, development, good tidings of great joy-----that some people of our world who view others (that are not of the same religion with them) with an ashy & hatred-tinted glass will be clear eyed enough to look into the face of all humans with love. Amen, Amen!

I really have no idea what point you are trying to make. If you read carefully, you'd see I wasn't painting no Nigerian bad. Neither was I making racist comments. To me, you appear quite superficial and have only made do with what you saw on the surface. Next time, try making efforts to actually "read between the lines" ( that idiom wasn't just for idioms' sake).
That said, I maintain that the Nigerian society has considerably shaped Nigerians such that some of their own innocent actions might as well appear to debase universal values. It is often until they migrate that they see how "unsocially" (in other contexts and other societies now) they actually are.
There are of course Nigerians of high integrity. . .but I won't be surprised to learn that a number of them originally come from well-to-do homes or got lucky with honest, caring parents so that the societal heat was tempered with some dose of parental warmness. Or perhaps, they started out dishonest when the going was tough and only later, after scoring some achievements, saw reasons to put on garbs of honesty and integrity.
This is my point. And I do see enough people-examples to believe it's totally right!
@Sauer
No Baby it wasn't your comments I referred to as racist comments, it was that of somebody else that was abusing the lady with racial slurs which you yourself also objected to in one of your posts here.

I understand your angle of some Nigerians being moulded by the Nigerian society and like the young lady clearheadedly commented too, we have the choice to allow the society move us or not. I only disagreed with the part you said that he is only being a Nigerian. Several Nigerians are celebrated on CNN, several Nigerians are doing good to others. There is no rule that designated Nigerians as heartbreakers, liars, manipulators, cheaters, heartless and all the other bad attributes that Kamibili mentioned her ex exhibited. It is only Nigerians that chose to be like that that are like that

My sister dust up your heart and move on to better things. Don't cry over rotten milk please.
If you view this from a positive point of view, you should be singing praises that God delivered you from that web of lies being woven around you.

Hey! I am sure that you know of the passage of the bible that says that "All things (even some unpleasant things) works for good to them that love God" also never forget that passage that assured us that " the plans God has for us are thoughts of good and not of evil, to give us an expected end".

Don't use "church-going" as a meter to weigh up a man. It is good for a man to have such a heart for God that he frequents church yet not all church goers are good. There are non church goers even atheist that are better men than some bible believing persons.
There is no doubt that you will soon meet a more responsible man dearie. I wish you your heart's desire.

sauer:
Hello Kamibili,

I hope your name's from Adichie's book, cos that'd explain your seeming love for the country. Anwyayz, I must reveal to you different peoples look at life differently. Germans examine life quite a lot differently from Nigerians. Many of your observations cannot simply be put down to how "humans" behave. While "humans" apparently have universally bad behaviours to an extent, Nigerians have their own specific mannerisms.
I find it difficult to believe you'd get the best of advice on here, since it's only natural for Nigerians to defend themselves. However, it must be said that your Nigerian boyfriend might not have behaved all too differently from how Nigerians generally do.

Your innocence cheated you. Innocence is not exactly the thing you want to communicate when engaged with a handful of Nigerians. Times have rendered them tough, and only a tough lady can prove to be a good partner.

Take heart and move on. Damn the guy! He was only being Nigerian!Sauer wink
How can you paint us all like that young man. There are still good male and female Nigerians with their integrity in the right place.
The fact that some Nigerians have soiled all our reps out there doesn't mean that we are all this rotten please. Gosh!

Please there is a great need to get medical help for our fellow nairalander by name "Perx" who has been advised by her doctors in Nigeria to seek medical help abroad. She has a health issue in her hip/leg which the doctors attributed to a dislocation/fracture in her hip and also to some problem with her nervous system.

She needs to contact charity organisations in Europe, Canada, America etc to see whether any of such organisations will be willing to support her and sponsor her treatment abroad. Please if you are living in any of these parts of the world and have the contact information that can enable her get the help she needs, do send it to her in this thread. If you belong to any charity organisation that can sponsor her you can equally put in words for her and contact her here in nairaland. Hey! if you can afford to help sponsor her that will be wonderful too.

You can read her account and detail of the illness in this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=826801.msg9796234#msg9796234 so as to understand it as it is in her very words. Please let us see how we can help get our sister the help that she needs.
