Can anyone please help me with information on submitting passport to vfs both Lagos and Abuja.

I'm hearing that they don't do dhl two way courier anymore.

Thank you.
If you want your passport to be stamped very fast and sent back to you ASAP.

Send it directly to Abuja VFS. Use DHL to send and pay 1 way courier service, about 18k (this is for returning your passport via UPS). If you did biometrics I'm Lagos, you will pay additional money as transmission fee. Don't pay for SMS it's waste of money.

Then relax and see the magic.

All the information are on VFS website

Great but I do have a clarification. Just kinda curious how you sent it through DHL and the return was done through UPS? Did you pay to VFS abuja separately so they can send it through UPS? My brother has just got PPR and thinking of sending it to VFS Abuja instead of Lagos where he had his biometrics done. I hear it’s faster thanks

VFS is partnering with UPS. When your passport is stamped, VFS will send it to UPS to return back to you. If you pay DHL return service, you will be the one to follow up with DHL to make sure they pick up your passport from VFS. All the fees & how to make payment is on VFS website.

But for sending, you walk in to any nearest DHL and pay for sending only

Someone had a UBA dollar account and couldn't use it of recent, and they couldn't do anything about it.

Advice for free: wink

Your fare is too expensive. If you're traveling next month, there are cheaper Lufthansa flights around 1000 dollars USD.
Go to their website (or download their app for better and faster service). Look out for dates as from 8th of May, then book the cheapest with ONLY ONE transit in Frankfurt, so you wouldn't need the huddles of a transit visa if it's more than one. When you fill in all info and get to payment, just call Lufthansa on 01 461 2222 and explain that you are unable to make reservation, then tell them the date you chose and the amount, and ask to make payment in their account IN DOLLARS (they don't accept Naira, you'll need to go to your bank and withdraw the dollar you need for payment). If your bank gives you wahala of no dollar, please ignore them and go buy dollar at black market, if you have enough Naira.

So, Lufthansa should request some ID info from you to complete your reservation and send to your email. Your BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER will be there and that's what you'll use in the bank. Their DOM ACCOUNT is in Access Bank, make sure you have a pen and a paper to write down the account number they'll give you as well as the email to send proof of payment from the bank. After payment and sending proof of payment, they'll acknowledge receipt and your Air ticket will be sent to you via email the same day or two days maximum. And that's it!

Booking from Abuja proves to be cheaper than Lagos (try that).

This seems to be the best option for those without DOM ACCOUNT or with Dollar Card issues.

Follow this advice and thank me later! smiley

Blessings!

Thanks for the explanation.

This will be hassle free to those having Access bank dorm acct, no need to withdraw dollar, one can easily do transfer

Pls, when did you submit your passport for the counterfoil? Do you have an idea how many days it takes to be ready at the Abuja vfs office?
I dropped my passport at DHL in Lagos last week Wednesday, same day in the evening it was sent to Abuja, on Thursday VFS Abuja received it and sent to IRCC office same day.

Then Friday was public holiday, then weekend, Monday public holiday.

So on Tuesday VFS Abuja received it back from IRCC. Today being Wednesday VFS handed it over to UPS.

I just received UPS tracking number from VFS (I requested for it via email). When I tracked it, it's showing on transit.

Fingers crossed

Ok, it's because of time frame I decided to send it to Abuja directly & even spend more money, my school is resuming in May.

Make UPS no go dull me undecided

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxxxxxx has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on Wed Apr 26 2023 via courier partner. Please use Tracking id. or the AWB number provided to track the shipment on the courier partners website after 24hrs.

Regards,

VFS Global
----------------------------------------------------------------

I got the above email from VFS this morning. Then I chatted them to confirm which courier company they use and the confirmed it's UPS. But they didn't give me the tracking number and I didn't get any update from UPS either.

Pls has anyone experienced this before? Meanwhile I sent my passport from Lagos to Abuja and I paid for VFS 1 way courier (for them to send it back to me directly).

Or do I have to wait for 24hrs before I will get update from UPS?

Thank you bro, I booked Ethiopia airlines. It was 556,000 when I checked in February but I wasted time because my family wanted me to use British but I didn't want to start wasting my FX to pay so by the time we all agreed on Ethiopia Airlines in March, the cheapest flight around my travel date was about 834,000 but the date I selected was 882 or so.
Moral lesson: book as soon as possible
Thanks for your response, yeah booking ahead is the solution. All the flights this period are above 1m

Thank you so very much. I appreciate.

Pls how much is
1. Transmission fee
2. Courier
3. SMS fee

Pls do you know if DHL will open on Monday being public holiday?

Once again, thank you.

1. #9,930
2. #18,710
3. #990

1 way courier fee is not the money you're paying to DHL for sending, but the money VFS will use to send back your passport.

You pay transmission fee if where you're sending your documents is different from the where you had your biometrics

2 way courier service is cheaper but VFS are saying they have stopped it, though someone in this thread used it few days ago I guess.

I don't think DHL will open on Monday

You can always check VFS website for updates

Please I want to submit through courier, what are the documents I need to take along with me? Which courier will you advise me to use? Learnt no more two way courier? Please help
I used DHL & I submitted to Abuja even though I did biometrics in Lagos.

Documents:
1. Passport
2. Passport request letter
3. Biometrics sticker/consent form given to you on the day you did biometrics
4. 2 copies of passport data page
5. 2 consent form, download from VFS website
6. Plain paper where I wrote my name, email, phone number & address. I also wrote it on the envelope

Since I submitted to Abuja, I added all the proof of payment.

1. Transmission fee
2. 1 way courier fee
3. SMS fee

Greetings all. Please help! IOM booking site keeps popping up ' sorry slot is unavailable' even when the slot is showing 'blue'.I have tried severally. What do I do? Thanks.
Send them email with your attached passport copy.

If you have medical request from IRCC, send them a copy too, they will give you earlier date

Sometime in January, it doesn't really matter when it was submitted anyways
starting from April 6th, you need to book appointment for in person submission

Please what's the process of passport submission. Do one need to book appointment if I want to walk into their office to submit?? Or I can go on Tuesday to submit by hand??
For in person submission, you need to book appointment.

Unless you asked for it, they won't update you. They'll just send the result directly to IRCC, what you should be looking out for is "Medicals passed" on your application. For me, IRCC didn't even send me mail when my Medicals passed, I just logged in and saw it. So have faith, it'll come soon : )
I sent email to them and they responded it's in process and they will let me know when they send to IRCC. I don't know if they will work tomorrow and on Monday due to Easter holiday.

This Canada journey na full of suspense. lol

But I'm being optimistic.
