I just passed my edd which was july 4,7th
ive been going for weekly checkups since one month now(every Saturday)

last week I went for antenal and BP was 150/90 so I was given drugs and asked to return on Monday for inducement, I didn't go because I wanted it to come down well.
.
Today I went for antenatal again and the BP went down (thank God)
The Bp today is 140/90.
So after the MD check me he say base on
1.) my previous history of pre- emclampsia( still birth)
2.) Edd has passed so he said he's booking me for CS
please I need opinion or suggestion

i made sure to free my mind, take the drugs, rest very well and also pray,I have appointment with doctor tomorrow sha let's see how it goes

my periods were irregular for some years before God blessed me, I don't know if the LMP and Edd was calculated with 28 or 30days cycle because it used to be longer than that( like 40days, or even up to 2mnt ).

So will the Edd be the same ?

it use to be normal before now because that's the first thing they check when I go for antenatal.

it reads 150/90 yesterday, although no protein in my urime, so doctor placed me on drugs to reduce it that I should come back tomorrow for inducement.
please has anyone experience it? how was it?

Not all men remarry...I know of a friend's dad dt has refused to remarry after his wife died several years ago. The difference here tho is dt there are children in the house so he isn't really lonely, just lacking companionship.

Op's mom might actually want some level of companionship but may be afraid of what society will think/say, cause as I'm sure you know, we're very backward and insensitive in this country.

We're on same page, its just that I didnt point out some men don't remarry

First of all I give God the glory for counting me worthy to be a mother after three years of TTC.

My pregnancy was a smooth one from the beginning to the end. Nothing strange happened to me except that I was always having malaria. I had ms all through ist trimester, second trimester was the best as my energy level was on the high side. Third trimester also came with its own package but in all, nothing unusual was recorded.

On the 19th of June which happened to be my EDD, my husband birthday and also my antenatal day, I woke up at 1.00am and saw mucus plug ( I had been praying to see it since I read it's not everybody that see mucus plug as sign of labour). I am a ftm and keep wondering how I will know if labour start if i don't see it. So when I saw my doctor, I told him about the sign and he sent me to the labour ward for examination. I had read about it here so I knew what it means. The matron after examining me sent me back to the doctor who told me labour has started but considering that I'm a ftm, it will take time. He asked if I will like to be admitted and be exercising or go home and come back when labour would have really set in. I told him I would like to go home and come back later.

When I got home and told my husband who has been praying baby comes on his birthday, he was so happy and praying his wishes come true.
I quickly rem what I've read here about ewedu which was explained by madam zaynie. I brought out the ewedu from my fridge and prepare it with the twigs and extracted the juice. I poured the juice inside plastic bottle and was drinking it at interval while also praying. I also got on to a treadle machine and was exercising. I would exercise for 10 minutes, drink the ewedu juice and resting. At about 3 pm, I started experiencing pain. From what I've learnt here, it timed it and saw that the pains were far apart.This continued till 8 pm. Then it was becoming regular and more painful. I kept on with my exercise and ewedu juice. I fell asleep around past 11pm and woke up to a painful contraction at 11.30 and this time were close to another. Woke hubby and was heading to the hospital, before we drove out of our estate, my water broke! God is so great! The water keep gushing out of me.

At the hospital, the nurse immediately checked and said I was 3cm gone and that my baby was so near my jajaina. She called the doctor who examined me and said my contractions were not strong enough. Then he inserted one drug inside me that till today I don't know. Whether that was induction o I still don't know. After 15 minute, I started feeling pain that was increasing as time passed by. Mehn! Labour pain no be moimoi o.I would squeeze my hands at every contraction, hit the wall as if it should break and also hitting the hospital bed. I quickly remember I need to be holding my breath and breathe through my mouth as I've read here. My dear mamas, e no work! The pain keep increasing. One of the nurses was coming whenever I scream that I should take it easy and reserve my strength till when I will need it. At 4:30 I felt a strong feeling as if a hard poo was coming and I couldn't control it. The nurse had already warned me not to push if I feel like pooing so I shouted 'I want to poo ooo' ' I can no longer control it'. It seems they already know the time the drug was going to last because before then if I shout I want to poo they would do as if they didn't hear me. This time they came and checked me and said madam this is the time, I can see your baby's head already. She prepared my legs and told me to push only when she instructed me. At this time, I couldn't control it, I just feel like pushing. Then she said madam you are going to give yourself tear and it's more painful to stitch than the pain you are going through now. I quickly remember I've read here that Episiotomy is very painful, then I tried to control it until she said I should push. My princess popped out at the second push screaming out her lungs. Placenta was delivered and I was stitched ( Chaii! The pain is still fresh in my memory). I did drama in that hospital when I was been stitched. I was even speaking in tongue at some point. I pray all mothers live long to reap the fruits of their labour....e no easy abeg. We were moved to the ward afterwards and I couldn't stop staring at my baby. She's the most beautiful being I've ever seen. She worth all the pain of labour and delivery.

To all GTC,as God changed my story so shall He do for you all soon.

To all July mamas, I pray for swift and smooth delivery for you all.

1st June I went for my usual antenatal appointment and while the matron was checking bp, they noticed it has risen from the usual 100/60 to 160/110, and my urine has double plus protein in it which according to them was a sign of severe preeclampsia, they then gave me an injection on my hand to stabilize the bp and I was referred immediately from general hospital to federal medical centre as they said my bp has risen to 170/110 on a second check and baby has to come out cos that was the only solution.
I called hubby and we headed to FMC. We got there and they checked my referral note, checked my bp and saw that it was still high, the doctor had to explain to hubby the situation on ground and the actions they would take to save both mother and child and hubby agreed for whatever to go ahead. In less than 2hours they started giving me injection upon injections to mature the baby's lungs and reduce bp a bit as she was just 34weeks and I will be induced after maturing baby's lungs and bp has dropped a bit.....
Fast forward to 4th June the head gyn/obg came to inspect my file and said no need for induction that I will be operated on. I bust out crying begging them to let me try the induction as I have always been scared of c-section. That was how they agreed to induce me and after 4hours I was only 4cm dilated without any labor pain, my doctor had to come break my water to make labor pains come yet no pains and baby was already feeling tired with her heartbeat dropping. That was how I was wheeled into the theatre and baby was brought out screaming at the top of her voice. Even the surgeon was asking if I was sure of how old my pregnancy was; due to the size and sharp cry of the baby and to the glory of God baby was sent to the neo natal unit for accessment and certified OK after all the scans and test was done except for little jaundice which made her to stay under phototherapy for 3days.
We are back home and everyone is doing fine.

I don't think it is something to worry about. There must always be one or two side difficulties or discomfort as you approach EDD. Anytime from now is a take off, yours is to prepare for it. Should you feel more less at ease, don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor.

Teamie...the pains you feel is expected at this stage as baby is deep down the pelvis in preparation for delivery.hope your bags are packed and you are ready.I'm 38weeks and feel the same pressure..just try as much as possible to be active,take small walks.. supernatural delivery to us all.

Like i said earlier, breast lump is no ailment. lump removal and biopsy are procedures that SORE the breast and these sores dont heal because the breast are FATTY.
Wearing free bras is not only preventive . If any woman observe lump in her breast, the first line of action is to stop wearing bras, if she has to because she going out, she should wear free bras with no underwire and imbibe a natural lifestyle.

This is just the truth but people will not listen, how do you expect your breast to breath freely when you were bras with underwires that packs your breast 24/7 ?

okay, how do you feel immediately you pull of your bra after your day activity? answer the question within you

I just pray we learn to accept the truth and not always at the mercy of docs over what can be corrected without stress...

I went for antenatal yesterday and doctor says I'll likely fall into labor this week(Edd is July 4th, 7th)
but if I don't I should come back 2 the hospital on Saturday..

but since yesterday my pelvic bones towards my vjaay aches a lot when I try to stand up and I can barely walk properly..
is this something to worry about?

Went for a scan yesterday. 7th July too even though I earlier got 4th July. But me no dey feel any pain o. Just off and on menstrual pain.
I dont even feel pregnant at all. But I ate a whole pineapple this morning My princess now weighs 2.8 am so happy.
That 2.3at 36weeks scared the hell out of me.

I went for antenatal yesterday and doctor says am likely to fall into labour this week but If I don't fall into labor from yesterday to Saturday, I should come back to the hospital.
my EDD is July 4th, 7th according to scan.

since yesterday my vagina bones dey pain me no be small, I can't walk properly cos its just like baby is on my vjaay

My pregnancy was uneventful except with initial malaria episode at 7weeks plus. Aside that, other issues were food aversion and spitting which continued until delivery. Around 33 weeks, I noticed an increase in my bp reading which had always been between 120 to 110 over 70 to 77. When I told my sister, she asked the value and I said 130/80. She said it’s normal but I told her that’s my first time getting that high reading. She said with pregnancy that the reading is okay. I continued monitoring it at home with about same reading or higher. I also noticed the hospital readings were around the same as the ones I took at home. Fast forward to 37weeks 5 days, my bp at the hospital was 140/90 and a second reading of 140/84 and I was told I’ll have to be admitted at the hospital for bp monitoring and to be induced at 38weeks per their hospital policy for high bp expectant moms. Test for protein in urine came back with trace intact. I told the doc I suspect my bp fluctuations is due to my lack of night rest as I was finding it hard sleeping at night. She said it could contribute but since I’m almost 38weeks it’s better I go for bp monitoring so I can be induced. Being I hate staying at hospital, I asked the doc if I can go home and return when I’m 38 weeks and she said yes, that it’s my choice. So she gave me another appointment at 38weeks. With much intentional rest over the weekend, increased water intake, mild exercise and salt reduction I returned to hospital on the said date and the bp came down to 130/80 and a repeat test of protein in urine was negative. So I was advised to continue to monitor at home and call the hospital if there’s spike; a return appointment was scheduled a week later. That was exactly at 39weeks. On getting to the hospital, the nurse kept repeating the bp reading both on my right and left hands and at a stage asked I take a deep breath in and out. That was when I knew it has gone higher again. The least reading was 145/91. At doctor’s office, the doc checked the bp twice and said she was getting 130/70. I told her I got 135/93 at home that noon before I left home. She suggested I be transferred to labour and delivery section for proper monitoring and induction. I told her I have no issues with that. So she said let her discuss with her team and left. On her return, she said I’ll have to be sent to labour and delivery as discussed earlier and she’s giving her consent for vag.inal delivery. Reason was that before then, I was advised that I may use CS if the fibroids was blocking my baby and my case was classified high risk pregnancy. But the last scan at 35weeks 5days showed none of the two big fibroids was in the way, though the sonographer explained the limitations to scan and advised I still remain open minded should CS be needed. On getting to labour and delivery room, the bp monitoring started and my bp was being recorded every 20 to 30 minutes. Two monitors were also set, one for baby’s heart beat and another for contraction. My doctor also did a quick scan and saved a it on her system. At 6pm, the doc told me they wanted to start the induction and she’ll give me adrug to help soften the cervix as it was still closed. At around 9pm, contractions started at say 5mins intervals but were not strong. At around 11am, they introduced oxytocin in small quantity and the contraction continued. Though I was able to sleep at intervals and being woken by contraction. I was also offered Pain medication to be put in drip or epidural. I told them I don’t need them yet and the anesthesiologist explained I can request for any at any time that she’ll be on standby. At around 1am, the oxytocin flow was increased and labour became more intense. I talked to the nurse and decided to go with pain relief as I was still scared of stories I’ve read on epidural sites and pains later on. I also asked her the differences and she explained that pain medication will reduce my pain and make me sleepy while epidural will not make me sleepy but remove the pain while I still feel contractions. At the thought of the needle at my back, I decided to go with pain medication since it will be injected into the drip plus the nurse explained that if I later want epidural they’ll still give me. After the pain medication was introduced, I felt a little relief with the pain however around past 1am, two nurses rushed into my room and I was put on oxygen and asked to change my position. They later explained that my baby’s heart rate stopped for a moment and showed me on the screen. Also said that to stop such, I’ll have to change my position at intervals and with the oxygen mask they hope baby will be okay. Then around 6am I was checked again and the doctor said cervix was still closed. At 6:30am my water ruptured and I was told I’ll have my baby before 24hours. Around 12noon, I was checked again and was 2cm dilated. At that I was happy the cervix finally opened. At 2pm, the pain was becoming unbearable and I told the nurse I’ve decided to take epidural so she informed the anesthesiologist and within 10 mins he came and set up the line and showed me how to control the flow if I start having pains. The nurse explained that the effect will start after 10 mins. With that, the pains vanished and I wished I had gone for it initially. Around 5pm, they said 6cm gone. By then my family was already worried as I was initially alone the first day and my sis had to come in the evening of second day. When my dh called, I told him not to worry that everything is progressing well because I didn’t want my mil to be worried due to the distance. My brother and mom said I should request for CS since induction is not progressing fast plus baby already showed sign of distress twice. But when my sis talked to the nurse, she said CS is their last resort and doctors are on standby if need be so we should not worry that baby is okay. So we kept on watching the heart beat while I change positions at intervals with the help of the nurses. By then, they’ve removed the oxytocin as she explained that each time they increase the dose, baby showed sign of distress so they allowed me to progress on my own and the contractions were very irregular. At around 12am on 17th, I started having pains on my left side, when I told the nurse she said I should change my position to enable the epidural circulate well. But then I noticed each time I lied on my right the pain returned and the button for dose increase didn’t seem to be working. I called the nurse and she informed the anesthesiologist. But then decided to check my temperature and was shocked as it was 100.4 F. She called doctor’s attention and I was checked again and at 8cm. Doctor said I’ve got infection and antibiotics needed to be administered. I told them to go ahead and they did. I only realized after that I slept off for like an hour and when I woke, my temperature was already normal. Then at past 2am, the doctor came again and explained that if I’ve not progressed to have my baby right then, they have decided to switch to CS as delivery cannot be delayed anymore due to the infection as it may affect my baby. But when she checked, she told me 10cm and said she’ll get her team ready for delivery right away. She explained to me how to push when contractions come before she left to inform her team. My sis got me to practice it showing me what the nurse explained. I was just laughing the way she was acting it. Within 5mins the team entered and set me up on how to stay. I was then asked to push with the contractions, I tried 3 times with each contraction and rested in between. At the third contraction, my baby popped out at 2:47am with a light cry. They took him and cleaned him up, then got my sis to take a picture showing his weight as 6.9lbs. He was brought to me for skin to skin as the placenta was delivered. At 9am, I was transferred to postpartum section for recovery. With my bp still fluctuating during labour and even after delivery, the doctor wanted to keep me till 19th for more monitoring but my sis told her that I’ll be better at home as I’ll get help unlike in hospital baby could not sleep the previous night. So with that she approved for my discharge in the evening of 18th and advised I call in if there’s any issue with me or my baby.
Childbirth isn’t easy but when I look at my handsome prince, I tell myself he’s worth more than the suffering. I thank God for fulfilling His promise in my life as I pray He hears the cries of all ttc mothers and grant their heart desires.

both of us are positive. The whole thing started 3days after he was born, they discovered the jaundice and he was put under the light and after few day we were discharged and ask to come back 2days later for follow up test which we did and it went back up to 16 and he was placed under the light again before we were discharge again and ask to come back for another follow up it then went back from 9 to 11but the private hospital felt it was nothing to worry about but people around us keep saying it's not go to circumcise him when the jaundice is still in his body which made us to carry out jaundice test to check the level so that we can circumcise him only for the result to come back 18 you needed to see me that as I was just crying, someone directed us to one general hospital on Abraham Adesunya Maternity and Child center, that was how we rushed to the place and they had to redo the test which came back 11. N his PCV was 31 and the Dr gave us antibiotics to use for one week and see them again in a week time.
I went back on Tuesday to see the Dr and the same test was carried out but according to the Dr's the jaundice is nothing to worry about as he has passed the danger stage and it will clear with time but their major concern is his blood level for his again is low which made them to admit us that Tuesday to give him blood and we were discharged yesterday.
His ward was on the 3rd floor and I kept on going up and down now as I am typing now all my body is seriously paining me and yet my breast milk is not flowing the way I want it to flow and I have used everything usable like cookies, palm wine, breast milk granola that am yet to use still nothing.
It making me feel bad as if I am seriously failing my son.
Missing my MIL badly, can't wait for her to come and pamper me.

So sorry ma, it will surely end in praise.

secondly, mum-in-law said I shouldn't be sleeping much that its not good at this stage, is it true? but I do morning walks everyday and house chores too, I only sleep if am not busy as am not the outgoing kinda person.
