This isr not true . .. I have a pending f4 petition since 2014, and I have been getting visiting visas since then. |
Thanks so much for responding, I will try another browser. Much appreciated quote author=Milito post=132418302] Not sure what could be the problem. Hope you didn't leave a space after typing the email address? Try another browser. Just curious, not sure it has a connection, but was that the email you used for the DS 160? If it's not, then try that one and see if it works.
|
[Hello, can you please help me out....I tried registering on Avits, but it says my email is invalid. How do I navigate this please? This is a new registration, thanking you in anticipation quote author=Milito post=132408523] >Under my appoinment requests, select create new >Select Nigeria if you are in Naija and applying from here >Choose a post, either FCT or Lagos (LGS) >Select Appointment Services >Choose visa type >Select visa category >Select visa class >Select applicant (the currect instruction is to put only 1 applicant per time and repeat the entire process for the others) >Enter Personal Details, Contact Details, Passport Details >You'll next move to a page to provide payment receipt number, which you'll enter the Amentum Reference Number
|
Hello everyone, I have been trying to register an account on Avits but it keeps saying invalid email...please how should I go about it? Thanks for a prompt response |
Wow, congratulations guys!! Those are some LONG 17 years! Iam in this F4 boat, my petition is 10 years old lol...meaning I have some 7 LONG years more. Lord have mercy 🥺 quote author=bonawaja post=130792194]Gud Day house i just received my interview letter and my sister my priority date march 7 2007 DQ December 10 2020 my sister priority date march 7 2007 DQ October 28 2020
|
Hello everyone, please I need a quick help on something urgent...I submitted an application more than six months ago, my interview is coming up soon so i filled and submitted another one today since it is more than six months. So the issue I have is, I wanted to log in to my dashboard to update the application # and print another appointment letter, but it says I have been blocked for security....has anybody experienced this? What can I do to resolve this? Many thanks for prompt response |
zed7:Yes I have been getting visiting visas, and having an immigrant petition does not disqualify you from getting a visiting visa. You may want to give it a shot, you have been waiting 11 years? Has your petition been approved? |
Yeah, the wait is frustrating!!, my petition will be 10 years on 11th of this month, it was approved in March 2022, I have not received any correspondence since then o. From the look of things I still have about 5 more years to wait, the good thing though is that I get visiting visas. Just continue life, it will materialize one day... |
Nothing is wrong, iam also on this lane....my f4 got approved and sent to nvc in March 2024, Nothing since then. F4 is the slowest, you will be contacted when your pd gets current, they may also contact you before then to start preparing your documents and make payments, but until the, make sure you check your email and nvc dashboard regularly. Best of luck |
Deziri20:Try changing your password and use the new password to log in, it happened to me and that was what I did, I was able to update my info afterwards |
Hmnn....while people with genuine travel intent to go visit and come back are not getting their applications approved. This life no balance walahi! post=125389125] I have family friends a couple with 3 kids to be precise, they all just got US tourist visa B2. The husband has a good job here in Nigeria while the wife and 2 kids intend to travel to the US by mid october to settle with no intention to return. Presently she needs a relatively affordable accommodation, guidance on which state to settle and a Job pending when the husband gather funds for accommodation and others. She can do tailoring and other menial jobs.
|
[Thank you so much deegalxy, I really do appreciate 🙏 quote author=deegalaxy post=124867329] If you only rescheduled to new date without filling a new DS 160, then no changes. But if you filled a new DS 16O, Log into the appointment site, go to update profile , change the DS 160 confirmation number to the new one. Then go to the dashboard (home page) click on appointment confirmation and email the new interviews details to yourself or go ahead to reschedule.
|
[Please, after rescheduling to an early date, how do I ensure the code on the new appointment letter is the same with the code on my ds 160 confirmation page? I have an appointment for November 4th 2024, but I want to reschedule to an earlier date, I want to know how to reflect the change after rescheduling. Thanks quote author=deegalaxy post=124850672] Wrong information. After your first schedule... Before you can reschedule 4times more but, Currently, you can only rescheduled just once after your first schedule. Perhaps it might change again...but it can never be without limit. In fact once you have exhausted your rescheduling limit given. the portal for it disappears. So if you so desperately need to rescheduled to another date, you must then go pay for another Visa Fee.
|
youngprince111:Young prince, please how did you update the code after rescheduling? I heard the code on the appointment must be the same with the one on the confirmation paper, please how did you effect the change? Thanks |
No, he booked himself, but decided to reschedule and got an earlier date, but when he got to the embassy he was told that the code was different. I think he was supposed to update his profile or so before going for the interview. Ii just want to know how to go about it in case I get an earlier date. My date now 8s November 4th 2024, but I check every day to see if I will get early date. Thanks |
Please what do I do to update my application if I reschedule my interview appointment? Someone changed their appointment to earlier date but was not allowed in at the embassy. What did he do wrong? Please advise as I want to reschedule to an earlier date. Thanks a bunch |
Hello house, please how do I update if I reschedule my interview appointment? I just scheduled for November 2024....can I reschedule to earlier date? If yes, what should I do to reflect the new date? Thanks |
Hello, please is this for Dropbox or physical interview? Can people still appear for non immigrant interviews as a family? Thanks for your response Yep… Same boat we are in. Couldn’t add dependents on primary profile. Found two appointments, still looking for one more appointment. Everyone has to have an individual ustraveldoc profile and book for appointments individually. It didn’t allow Group or Dependent booking. We called and emailed USinLagos and no dice. We were asked to get appointments for each applicant.
|
Yes, it used to be between 10 years....but there is a huge backlog and f4 has now spanned to 16 years, it is a very sad reality! post=123075071]Hi Iyaboys! I have a quick question about the F4 petition. I am about to file for my brother and I just looked at the priority dates (PD) on the latest Department of State (DOS) Visa Bulletin. The current PD for Nigeria and other chargeable countries is April 2007. I know that F4 usually takes a long time (approx 10 years) but this is showing 16 years. Is this correct or am I missing something from the visa bulletin? Thanks. @cutelawyer and orekzbaba -- you can travel on a B1/B2 while a GC application is pending. My folks do that all the time. However, sometimes a VO may deny a visa for this same reason. My college roommate from Cameroon who was on a J1 visa went back home to renew his J1 visa and the VO denied his application because he had a pending GC application. His wife won the DV lottery and was processing it in Cameroon. Anyway, he continued with his program remotely for about a year until the DV lottery paperwork was completed and he returned to the US on a GC. My opinion is that while it may not affect some people like my mum, it affected my college roommate. Maybe the different visas (B1/B2 vs J1 and 2yr home requirement) played a role but I do not know. Hope this info helps.
|
Actually you can apply for visiting visa when you have a green card petition pending. I have an F4 petition going...its been ten years, but I have been visiting the US since 2001, iam currently in the US for a visit, so YES you can post=123065263]If they have filed for green card for you,you cannot apply for USA visa till the filing is approved.I am kinda in the same situation so i opted to try with regular visa.Wait times for that filing is 5 years.Find out from the lawyer that filed for you to get better understanding of the process.
|
Please do Airlines still require Covid testing when flying from US to Nigeria? Thanks for a prompt response |
Hello everyone, a quick question please....how long does it take NVC to create and assign case number after approval? My F4 petition was approved on March 30th 2022, it says in the approval notice that NVC will create and assign me a case number and that if I didn't hear from them after 45 days, I should make an inquiry. I would appreciate anyone with F4 experience to please enlighten me. Thanki n g you in anticipation |
TWoods:This is just the plain truth! The US Immigration Law frowns at misrepresentation. ...you lied to obtain your first visa, you now applied to get that same visa renewed, In the process they found out the truth and invited you for interview. Of course they want you to go and confirm what they found out. We already know the verdict for such, but I will advise you still go for the interview. ... |
Congrats to you on both wins! have you been able to get any answers wit regards to the Covid laws? I read that from April, once you are fully vaccinated, you can travel but I need to know who has travelled and what the process was. I'm equally travelling in may. TThanks a bunch. @Puffmama actually responded that as at first week in March all traveller's to the US most be fully vaccinared. Hope this answers your question? |
puffmama:Okay...I wish you all the best |
puffmama:Okay.....bbut what is the current status? Did you ever get a RFE? |
puffmama:Thanks for the update.....mmy brother filed the petition in February 2014 with the Vermont center, I see yours is even five months earlier than mine. Which center was yours filed in? You should get approved soon too. Best of luck |
Payati:He used the i 130 for family based petition. I did my masters degree in the US and I have been getting my visa renewed since I came back in 2006. For your mom, the petiton supposed3 to take 6 months but for the backlog and covid....but she can apply for a visiting visa while waiting for her petition to be approved. That is what I have been doing....A pendipetition does not prevent getting a visiting visa... |
Good morning house, thanks everyone for all the insights. I got my B1/B2 renewed last week and thankfully the green card petition my brother did for me 8 years ago was approved on Tuesday and has been sent to DOS for further processing. Please who has an idea of the duration of the process at NVC? Secondly, I am planning a trip in may, what is the covid requirment? Is it still negative PCR test or vaccination? Thanks again for a prompt response |
Jehnii:Wow....thanks for the update, I sure will go on with life lol. I do really appreciate. .. |
