ok. I bought my younger sister a Fiat Punto now she wants another one. Low on petrol, swift and funny enough a bit high.It goes over bumps very smoothly. Although the parts are very scarce in 9ja but very cheap abroad. She hasn't hand any reason to change anything apart from service and she buys her service parts from the UK.

Got 2 LCD tvs (LG 32" and Hitachi 26" for my bedroom). Also got Samsung LCD 32" in 9ja. If you have to buy a TV forget CRT. Go for LCD or plasma (reputable manufacturers o). I'm not being funny but I've come across some funny brand names in Naija. Just buy a good one and do a search on the internet for owner reviews or independent reviews before you make up your mind. Use a power surge protection adaptor and a good stabiliser. Always turn of your stabiliser off from the main socket. (if you're using it in 9ja). Good luck!

Gberigbe 5 minutes to Ikorodu town ke? U wan fly? Be realistic jare. It would take more than 10 minutes drive to Ikorodu town o. It's true you need to need to get the land checked (land information[b]). You don't want to loose your hard earned money. [/b]
What is your budget? Ikorodu is really upmarket now. What are the features you would consider in getting the land? e.g area, proximity to facilities like busstop, markets,shops etc.
For you to be able to get a reasonably priced land, the area would be newly developed / developing as in may be you'll have about 6 to 10 houses in the area already. Fully built areas tend to be like 1m upwards areas like Ebute- Ipakodo,Igbe Road-Igbogbo, Eyita-Ojokoro, and probably Sabo area.

If its a machine, get in touch with your nearest cargo agent. Opt for sending it via ship (it would be put on a pallet) ans sent via container with other goods -Grouppage.

Also depending on the size, if its very bulky- take a lot of space, shipping by air would be calculated in terms of volume.

The advantage of shipping via container is that it's cheaper, and you can add other things as well on thesame pallet as long its not taller than 6ft.

The advantage of by air is that it's quicker and gets to Nigeria in days

Disadvantage of shipping by sea/container, if your agent hasn't got enough items/goods to load into a container, it takes forever.

Depending on where you are in the UK,I have a good cargo agent that I use frequently. (mind you I'm not advertising for the agent o).

I've been using the cargo agent since around 1999 and I haven't had any problems with him.

NFA and co must have been told @ LUTH that the guy has X amount of days or weeks left that was why they didn't bother to fly him abroad for treatment. If it's really true that he had cancer and that he's not going to survive, then
all the LUTH doctors and nurses have to do is to make him comfortable. If he were abroad, they probably would have transferred him to an hospice. 'Cos an NFA official said on the NTA news a few days ago that he cannot be flown abroad because he is being stabilised.. They were probably looking at the cost of bringing his body back home if he passes away abroad. (No be small money o). Anyway,May his soul rest in peace!

Well. I've got a set of twin boys (now 7yrsold). A doctor circumcised them using anaestetic. I don't recommend the Jewish method. Although I couldn't look (my hubby did).
