The fact is that Nigeria is a messed up society. If these so called 'fine boys' had been robbing, raping and terrorising people in that community, and they had been caught and handed over to the police, what would have happended? They would simply have their useless well-to-do parents bail them out, and they would immediately go back to their violent crimes. Is that justice?

As long as our law enforcement and criminal justice system remains a joke, we should stop comparing ourselves with the western world. Armed robbers caught in the act should be summarily executed (unless they have useful information to give, after which they should be killed). Whether they are as handsome as Mr. Universe or as Ugly as a Chimpanzee, they would be eliminated abeg. . .I hate violent criminals with a passion. If we all decide to take up arms, then there would be no society. A few bastards cannot arrogate a monopoly o criminalf violence to themselves as if the rest of us are fools.

let me tell you a personal experience - I and my friend were going for our usual night class around 8pm through a track road that led to the main campus when we saw a touch light pointing at us urging us to stop. my friend wanted to run because he felt they could be bad boys and i told him to wait since his hands are clean. we waited and the next thing we saw was hatchet drills all over our body for reasons we don`t know and their was nobody to come to our rescue despite all our plea. we had lost all the strength in us to the extent that we could no longer resist the beating again before one of them asked us that where is the phone we stole from this girl (the victim of the stolen phone)we had to plead for our dear lives that we don`t know anything about the stolen phone and that we just left our lodge and are going to the class, we showed them our books and all we had on us. You know what, the same place that we were before we were asked to stop was the same place that these evil guys stayed and attacked 3 innocent girls at gun point till the last person who went to call the school vigilante boys who almost got us killed for what we know nothing about. If i had died, what would have become of my aging parents that prays day and night for me.

I`m not saying it is proper what the villagers did, but you need to here their own side of the story and u will understnad the reason for their actions. and sometime these guys needs these type of treatment for them to change because some of them are children of well-to-men in the society and they believe they will do anything and get away with it.

May they be judged according to their works on earth.

What the villagers did was a barbaric act and it is not done anywhere in civilized world. Crime happens and the level of this crime does not warrant death. There is no justification for such an act. Forget about what they might have done in the past, it is not justifiable. This may be their first time and for some reasons. Everybody deserve a fair hearing no matter what. How can human beings be so wicked to the extent committing this kind act. There no one without a sin so why cast the first stone. I consider everybody that was at the scene of this brutal act a murderer. Why do we have the law enforcing agencies or are those phones and laptops not returnable? WHAT A COUNTRY! GOD HELP US ALL.

Toyota cars are trash. Give this corolla like camry sometime now and it will flood everywhere, just because it is affordable with cheap plastic interior. All cars are durable and reliable depending on your maintenance culture. I will better go for Honda or Nissan if I want to drive a Japanese. Though have used accord. However the fact that some people have not had opportunity to drive a German car does not make Toyota the best "auto maker" in the world. Just test drive a 2006 VW jetta and you will see what I am talking about.

It is either your fuel pump is bad or the air flow.

There are 2 causes.

1. It can be that your ac gas is short so you need to top up gas.

2. After you top up the gas and its still continues, then your AC compressor is weak thus it does not have enough pressure to pump the gas around when you are not in motion.

In opinion, It is because the car is not fun to drive especially the I4 engines and the engine does not last long and its quite expensive too.

Bro, What Ikenna is talking is right. I have friends who their 1995, 2000 and 2007 Toyota Camry, 2004 Toyota corolla auto transmissions failed. What to really watch out on this Toyota cars are their engine which does not last and damages due to little over heating. Transmission problem is not peculiar with Honda alone. Besides driving a Toyota Camry is boring than Honda which is smarter thus it is regarded as a passenger's car.

Bro, How you maintain your car is what matters. Some people that drives this accord only hear about this gear problems but have not seen one. Get a clean title accord with low mileage and it will serve you as long as you take care of it.

Check your hand brake system if its okay, also check the brake fluid if its gauged. Check if the transmission fluid is gauged and if its still okay, if not change with a good atf specified by Honda. A good auto mech will know.

I got this Honda accord 03/04. the maintenance light comes on anytime i start the engine, but goes off after blinking for few seconds i.e 7sec. Also my TCS and brake light stays on permanently. but the car is in good condition. I just serviced the car few weeks ago, even though the transmission fluid has not been changed in like 3years now. Can it be that the maintenance light blinking is for transmission fluid change? if YES, then am scared running a new transmission fluid into the tran box bearing in mind all the scary stories of damaging the tran box if the transmission fluid is overhaul. Honda transmission gurus in the house,ur candid advise is needed.

Does it do hard starting? Check the car ignition system coil on the engine if it has gone bad because flood spoil it most times.

Honda is more a race car than Toyota. I drove my 97 accord "bull dog" in that road @ 180km/hr and the car was willing to go beyond that when a 2003 Toyota corolla "bank type" was trying to pull a stunt. I was like a mad man on the road that day because I wouldn't let go. I was still able feel my steering and those curve where moi moi with a little release of the leg from the gas pedal . I believe that car sha.

In my opinion, I think the girl does not want to marry you because of your money but because she likes you and want you to be her husband thus you are her only hope. All girls has toaster but you can limit it by making her to change her bb or stop using at all.

Never used 1 before. but the ones I had opportunity to drive is so boring. Feels as if I am driving a box. How long have you been using the car? Stop using abro atf if you want your gear to last specially if you drive long distance all the time. It does not just spoil immediately when you use abro atf. It is a gradual thing.

thegame: I use a toyota camry 2000 model,its my first buy though not my first car. I pamper this car though I know a car will always be a car. Anyway, I got to read this article on honda maintenance tips and I saw some people saying abro atf isn't so good for transmission. Meanwhile I use abro for gear n steering while I use total N2700(sw50 or so) oil for my engine. Anyway, I don't have a problem with my engine or transmission but any recommendations on how to maintain this car better for me and other toyota users would be welcomed.

Tell your mechanic to check the sensors around the gear box if they are working properly.

civac: Thanks for this thread, i have honda civic '92 model automatic. recently it doesn't go more than 40km/hr or can't enter gear 3. changed the gear fluid and the transmission restored to normal just for a day and the problem surfaced. i now noticed that in the morning time b4 the oil heats up, it goes up to 80km/hr and after heating up, the problem starts again. should i change the gear box?

@bonysmille Once had a similar problem with my 97 accord. Tell your mechanic to check the steering wheel from inside the car where the gas and brake pedal is. He should tie the connection joint between the steering wheel and the steering box inside the car very well then the vibration will stop. There has been a slack on the blots. This will solve the problem I think. Good Luck

bonysmile: Tnx once more. My tyres are less than a year old. Infact they are all 2011 tyres. Last check (about 2 months ago) was told dat both upper n lower arms r ok. Dat was when I replaced d tie-rod ends, stabilizer links n front discs. Dis vibration is actually driving me crazy. Cos of my faith in Honda I bought it instead of Camry. My friend who bought Camry same time I bought dis Accord even says 2 me "see I told u". I kno Accord has advantages over Camry n vice-versa but... Tnx all d same.

No Car that does not experience gear problem if neglected or wrongly maintained. Some people does not know they need to service gear box/ change the oil when it gets to some certain mileage. 97 accord is a Good car no doubt. Smart thus the nickname,rugged, balanced at high speed and fuel efficient. Have used it. What I will advise you when you get it is try and maintain your engine regularly depending on your usage. In the case of gear, service depending on your millage, maybe every 10,000 or 15,000 or 20,000. Don't allow all those mechanic to tell you that you only need to top the oil, when its short. Just change totally with a very good ATF.I Changed gear once why using the car though then sold it off.
