The original post is pure typical and idiotic Nigerian analysis. Unlike Lagos, most states are not city on Nigerian steroid. Most states in Nigeria did not benefit from being capital of Nigeria.

President Tinubu should try and make all states viable
It is not the sole responsibility of Tinubu to make all the States viable, there's a reason for having three tiers of Government in Nigeria.

I'm sure he learnt his lessons. Stop Jewish bashing and stop the numerous anti Igbo threads going on or else they may eventually corrupt nairaland.
All these terrorists jihadist will not come to your rescue in the event of the Jews deciding to beam their search light on you.
Elon musk have to retract his steps and even have to go to Jerusalem in other to clear the his name.

I don't support ethnic or tribal banters but you can't complain about anti-Igbo threads on NL when you don't condemn the anti-Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani threads on NL, that's hypocrisy.

You don't give insults and expect to be applauded by those being insulted. The scolding should be across board.

Is this statement by PBAT not related to the topic of discussion which is Climate Change. "The earth is crying and needs healing"?

For the OP and other Obidolts to laugh at the President shows they know nothing about climate change just like their candidate.

Same way they laughed and made mockery of PBAT when he said "The Lake Chad should be recharged".

What Mr. Peter Obi would Do & Not Do if his rightful mandate was given to Him. Please join me as we explore more on this:

It is no secret that Peter Obi won the 2023 Presidential election in a landslide but INEC robbed him and Nigerians off the victory and installed an illegitimate president who swore to become President at all cost.

For those of you that keep comparing, be truthful to yourself for once and assimilate these timely truths:

1. Obi will never buy a yacht.
2. He will never buy those SUVs.
3. He would have used made in Nigeria.
4. He would have forfeited his salaries.
5. He will hardly stay in Aso Rock.
6. He would have visited the 36 states.
7. He would have gone to see the IDPs.
8. Presidential convoy would have reduced.
9. His wife won’t be captured in the budget.
10. There’ll be no need for a body language.
11. He won’t appoint LP members into INEC.
12. Professor Yakubu would have been fired.
13. Peter Obi will rather chew wet jeans, than continue with business as usual.
14. His independent & responsible children would have continued their private lives.
15. There’ll be no office of the First Daughter & the First Son. What do you need those for?
16. He won’t borrow N10 trillion in 6 months.
17. Peter Obi will never spend $500,000 in St. Regis Hotel, New York, nor in any other hotel. Are the rooms in Heaven?
18. That man would have been talking to Nigerians every other week. He would have held some media chats by now.

You can lie to yourselves all you want, every Agbado already knows that Peter Obi would have put the savings from subsidy removal into your education, healthcare & the fixing of roads. A Bogus Cabinet? you dey craze?

@Op you should keep all these till election season. It will be relevant from the second half of 2026.

I know it's a long way off but just be patient.

You know it is a religious war daddy”

To make things worse, he denied ever making such a comment despite the fact that we all heard him saying it!

No wonder he lost the election.

The last thing Nigerians need is a president that’s looking to start a religious war, and lying about it.

That’s off the scale toxic character right there.

I'm sure he's not happy that the said audio leaked because it did a lot of damage to his bid to becoming the President of Nigeria. But trust me, Obi doesn't regret those things he said.

He is a religious fanatic, that is who he is and has always been . Imagine a man that discriminates against people of the same faith(Catgolics and Pentecostals).

Politics / Re: Why We Should Stop Shaming Yorubas For Outcome Of The 2023 General Election by Iziquiel(m): 5:34pm On Nov 15, 2023
realG101:
I have observed a trend recently on the internet and especially on nairaland and I believe it will help us all a great deal if we refrain from the trend and get more clarity.

Let's call a spade a spade. That nigeria's affairs are in the hands of tinubu right now is not because yoruba people voted based on tribal sentiment.

It is because as usual there was massive rigging perpetrated by the inec as a result of corruption and impunity in the system. This is just one leg of it.

The second reason is that, as far as elections are concerned, the nigeria police and judiciary have always acted as arms of the ruling party at any given time.

That said, one problem that Nigerians have is that we have this habit of relegating real issues and hopping on trivial ones. We get carried away in the process and even begin to fight ourselves on tribal or religious basis while the real enemy continues to do more damage.

It's not further math. If all the yorubas (SW) voted for tinubu and all the igbos (SE) and SS voted for obi, obi would have out performed tinubu in a free and fair election.

This tells us that tribal voting wasn't the big factor in tinubu's victory, it was electoral malpractice.

See all that energy we expend dragging and cursing people who allegedly voted tinubu on tribal basis, let us channel it towards re-examing how events unfolded during the last general election, which loopholes inec and apc exploited for their rigging game and let us brainstorm on how to be prepared to beat them to the game by bridging those loopholes next election.

I can assure you that if we continue trading blames over who didn't vote for the right candidate and refuse to talk about the real issues, 2027 election will also come and go and the story will remain the same.

I'm sure those who didn't apply wisdom in voting during the general election are regreting already. We don't really need to over flog the issue.

The post election tribal war on the internet is even a threat to sensible voting in subsequent elections so let's nip it in the bud.

God bless Nigeria.

Your sixth paragraph is why many of you keep crying of rigging.
I didn't know that votes from only two or three regions can make one President of Nigeria.

How supposedly educated people intentionally turn off their brains is beyond me.
