Go to court while Wike is pulling down all your property, in defiance of court orders. That will work easily against civilians that don’t have 1000 bloodthirsty giringoris under their command.

Na why I dey laugh the ones here asking for Court, when people with power are not even considering it.

When your time reach (God forbid), go court, you hear?

As a barrister, Wike suppose know how dis things work. Make he no allow stem student deceive am. There's a reason they call the president the Commander in chief of the armed forces.
And that's another issue I had with the whole case.

A man in power since 1999, doesn't know where to draw the line in such situations?

An officer tells you he's standing on his orders. Why try to force him, or curse him? Simply go over him to his boss.

It's shameful, truly.

The focus on the officer was always wrong right from the start. Principalities and powers in his field of endeavour sent him to stop the officials from moving in so he had no other choice but to do what he did.

The people potentially at fault were the principalities and powers that sent him in the first place. I don’t however know what people wanted them to do when facing a governor who does not follow rule of law or wait for court orders himself.

It is Wike’s disregard for due process and court orders that led us to this situation.
Thank you

Nigeria Military personnel are trained, but I don't think they're as skilled as we're trying to make them be...boys were get normal agility from street or physical taxing jobs go take on a lot of our military guys.
A lot of our military guys......

I travel at night. When it rains heavily, Most of the police checkpoints will disappear

But guess what, the Military checkpoint will still be there, with his raincoat, complete uniforms and boots..

There's no country where the endurance trainings of Military men are easy. Na only for Delta and Rivers dem dey beat Army, LG chairman dey slap General...Only there

So there are rumors (emphasis on rumors) that our Honourable Minister revoked (again, emphasis on "revoked") the lands of people and shared it to another set.

If people who dine with people of influence are experiencing this, imagine how many hectares of the Common man has been revoked and nothing happened

This is for those clapping for "All power has been vested into the Minister" talks.

When any Governor revokes you, or any of your relatives land, because of power, remember this day oh.

Irrespective of how the vice admiral feel he should go to court or sort out his problem directly with the minister, he has no right to deploy soldiers there.

This is an affront on our democracy and the rule of law.
Politicians are the cause of this nonsense. They need to pass laws to banish the military to barracks, they have no business parading themselves in public , that is police job.

You and your fellow travelers should continue making treasonable comments.

In your own words "why not let a court decide?". We should be directing that question to the person that sent soldiers there. He has no right to deploy soldiers there without a court order, and court won't even issue such order because only police can carryout such internal actions according to the constitution.

It's either y'all want democracy or not. If you want a military dictatorship, say it. This isn't a military regime.

Pray you don't buy a piece of land tomorrow, and because all powers are vested with a Minister, they cancel your allocation.

Wike is not really as bright minded as some people assume he is.

That call he made to the CDS in the last minute of the video should've been made in his office without having to go with press crew to chop public disgrace.

If the FCDA had reported to you that they are facing difficulty carrying out enforcement because some powerful military officer is using soldiers to deny them access to the property, he should've gathered information about the military personnel, put a calm through to the CDS or CNS and report the situation to him.

If he had done that, those ones would've enlightened the person involved is their superior and the only way forward is to find an amicable solution to the matter......

But Wike being Wike felt going to site with over 50 policemen, DSS officers and press men would suddenly make him the face of "fight against impunity". Unfortunately for him, it backfired and he's made the young officer a hero
I am sure all the parties involved would probably schedule a meeting.

Something as simple as this, would have saved our Honorable Minister a lot of embarrassment

Unless you slap the major general in private. If you slap him in front of his boys even the general won't be able to save you. Boys that already see civilians as micro-organisms.

If that officer had shifted for Wike his military career would have been in jeopardy. Last military command was for you not to move ground but then you move ground under threat from a civilian.

The people who sent him can retire him tomorrow for a thousand reasons not directly linked to this issue if they want. Wike can only beg/ask those people to retire him. he does not hold the man's destiny in his hands like those that sent him.

That guy was really fighting for his future.

If Wike had gained access, the officer's next promotion will come in 20 years.

I just feel people are taking it out on the wrong person. The discussion should be on the Land; Is the person supposed to be there, or Wike wan grab am as Omonile?

Nah! Saham was a political tool of the APC to frustrate Wike and a disgrace to the military by doing the bidding of corrupt politicians, just like Mbu was a political tool of the PDP to frustrate Amaechi and a disgrace to the Police Force by doing the bidding of corrupt politicians. In all of this you can see that the biggest losers were Saham and Mbu, this young man's case is very different he's a military officer under orders from the military, the sensible thing would have been to go through Oluyede and Abbass but instead the Barden Bwari decided to disgrace himself before a boy who was being fed cerelac and Nan milk with Kunu when Ezenwo was battling his law school exams grin
Wike knew who owns the Land.

He just wanted to go there to show himself. Nothing stops him from sending the head of FCDA to go there. I have not seen Sanwo Olu going round Lagos to ask for land documents. Wike is too big to be doing that in Abuja.

If that guy had shifted for Wike, he would have held a conference, highlighting how he is stopping illegal lands in Abuja.

Sadly, it backfired

I have said so before.

And I said it is the lawlessness that all of them, including Wike promoted and supported, that is catching up with them.

And if he wasn't hot headed, he didn't have to go there with Channels TV, hoping he would score some dictatorship points from it. Sadly, he met someone who doesn't understand the word "disobedience"

Nigerian's have still not understood that military officials are subject to civil law within civil spaces, and cannot be seen to be obstructing government officials from performing jobs within their jurisdiction.

If it was a normal civilian, and not a military person with guns to fight Wike and his goons, what would you recommend they do in this situation?

Would you tell them to grandstand, and be telling government officials performing their duties to go and write through official channels before they'd obey a "STOP WORK" order?

I mean Wike and his goons are the official channel in question grin, and if the military guys have issues with their interpretation of the law, it's to escalate or take to another official channel that would give them listening ear...not to grandstand.

Before WIke came there in-person, whatever communication they give to every other person they gave those guys, it was becuase they refused to listen that WIke came in-person, and they too anticipated it by placing military boys "on order" because they had no intention of acknowledging what was already communicated to them.
It can never be the same, especially for both parties that are under the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Yes, there can be frictions, but it is handled amicably, and not shouting "Fool"

There is no world that permits a military officer to disobey orders given by a Superior. Even in the USA, it cannot happen. You simply go to his superior to solve the problem.

Whether the construction going on is legal or not, is another issue. We both have no information on that.

But saying a Military should disobey orders because Commissioner of Works or LG chairman showed up is very funny. It cannot happen anywhere
