That is all that matters to them. What narrative is the best narrative? What scape goat is the best? Is it pdp, is it igbo, is it Obi, is it "yoruba is being attacked", is it "a southern president needs help"??
There is no part of this where you see protection of citizens as the most important thing and you have stupid fuckers here who should know better actually coming here to talk about how people are hoping the US removes tinubu.
Guyyyy you are not even talking about the possible killings of our people, it is the removal of Tinubu that is great importance to you
A diabolical dross of a human being

People cannot be dying everyday with no single hope in sight, and our fear is that US will destabilize Nigeria. Does Nigeria look stable to you now? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:46pm On Nov 02, 2025 |
abduleez1: If my opinion has any significance to you that is.... Here's what I'd do:
A massive reorganization of the army and it's hierarchy is needed. And a massive retraining of the top generals and junior officers of modern day Counter terrorism operations.
The public also needs to be factored in and embraced into this. Nigerians needs to be equally cooperative and report suspected sightings and gatherings of bandits, terr0r!sts and co, irrespective of ethno-religious relations. Some of these £v!l are usually allowed to be perpetuated by people refusing to speak out when their fellow ethnic person is doing crimes or doesn't affect them.
I have this opinion that something is seriously wrong with the Nigerian Army. Unlike the Nigerian Airforce and Navy who seem to be doing well and making headway. NA is just different in being backwards.
Serious lack of the appropriate equipment and poorer welfare to their soldiers compared to NN & NAF. This needs to be addressed because it's only a motivated soldier that would be really willing to fight and risk his life for his country. When morale is low you'd continue to see the show of shame and incompetence that happened earlier this year where bases where overrun by terrorists.
I updated myself middle of this year regarding Nigerian military operations and was shaking my head with the repeated mistakes base commanders made regarding base protection. Several bases across the north attacked and some overrun with weapons carted away and soldiers k!lled. It's even embarrassing when you learn that some bases where attacked with improvised drones dropping mortars on defense points.
So this is where drones comes in. NA already employs drones well enough now but I don't think in an organic level that is required.
The elites in the NA mostly seem to believe in the bigger drone platforms — the million dollar platforms, the MALEs (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) drones and overlook the impact of even small strategic battlespace drones even for reconnaissance. Every base should have at least 2 drones inspecting their various sectors at all times especially at night armed with night vision electro optics to provide a sense of security so they aren't surprised by ambushes and even see them long before it happens and prepare and wait for them or launch counter offensives. Every significant fighting regiment or platoon should also have drones for monitoring their environment while in convoys or on the move.
NA needs an airwing of its own. Almost as big as the NAF but mostly focused on drones and attack/assault helicopters.
Most importantly, our border issue needs to be addressed. I'm in support of closing our northern borders. How? By digging big trenches around our borders or building border walls. And manning them with personnel as well as massive drone monitoring and sensors for tracking.
I'm not in support of this notion Northerners hold of our Northern neighbours being their brothers and all sorts. I don't believe in the practice of having immigrants from other countries freely moving across our borders without checks. More especially when it involves unstable countries with strong jihadist presence.
Then there's this issue of chronic poverty in the North. I'm sorry to say if this kind of poverty remains and even worsens as it is there's nothing anybody can do to stop this massive insecurity. Even almighty US won't be able to do jackshit and would just flee like they did in Afghanistan when they get tired.
Terrorism or counter-terrorism these days isn't really about weapons and stuff tho.... It's more an ideological battle than the physical bombs and manifestations you see. How do you solve this? Improving the human capital development index of the region and the country and massive emphasis and investment in education. Not all those Madrasat or islamic scholar style of teaching the north encourages (which helps spread extremism since they're not regulated). Or is it Almajiri they call those stuffs.
You first have to have a battle of their thinking and mentality before you say you want to start fighting them physically. Cos as long as there's the incentives to join islamic extremism... there'd be no shortage of foot soldiers. Sponsors needs to be pursued, ethno-religious sympathy needs to be squashed. Breeding grounds for terrorism that poverty and lack of education breeds needs to be wiped off or reduced to the barest minimum. If not....na soldier go, soldier come. That's why we've been fighting the same terrorist elements for decades.
And we need to stop this useless practice of releasing "repentant" never-do-wells back to society. Left to me, it's summarily exécút!0n for all terrorists caught. Only women and children might face milder penalties.
These are just the few ones I can type cos it's very long. Most of this even the Army are aware of and the authorities.
There's many things to be done but all this is for nothing if there is no political will. Because I feel, political will is the issue here. And when there's no will all you'll be doing is treating the symptoms instead of focusing on the root cause. You'll keep buying and seeing weapons and multirole ground jets commissioned all the time without much impact. So you know this already, and led me on to think you had any solution? |

TemporaryHansel: Atiku and Obi are not serious. They should be milking this to the high heavens.
Everything Tinubu stood for prior to becoming president, he is doing the complete opposite now that he is president. He claimed everything stops at the buck of the president, but today raumdeuter is telling us everything doesn't stop at the buck of the president anymore.
If the opposition plan to unseat Tinubu in 2027 they better swing into action, unless they have been bought by Tinubu. If they decide to milk it, it shouldn't be now. Let APC run the riot amongst themselves. Already, Nigerian pastors are already milking it from their various pulpits. It's now a Christian vs Our enemies agenda. If Christians continue to get killed, Tinubu gradually loses favour from the Christian community that supports him. If Trump intervenes, the North will experience instability in some form, and that's another work he needs to fix again, so he can get them in line The solution is just to sit up. Meanwhile, have you noticed that our politicians have been so quiet. The fear of being blacklisted and having your properties in US seized, is the beginning of wisdom |

raumdeuter: Now that we havent had ambassadors for some time, do you think they are not reporting their current works to someone?
Okpebolo is just an example in Nigerian history there have been many political ambassadors who know nothing about Diplomacy but just put to settle them. Or children of prominent politicians just settled
The career diplomats work 365 days a year while the ambassador is just there for photo ops, dinners and make statement Obanikoro as ambassador was still spending most of his time in Nigeria catering to his political machinery on ground, Do you think work stopped Nobody said they are not working. We said the absence of Ambassadors can be an issue in foreign related matters. I have never heard of any country eulogizing Deputy in Chief, above an Ambassador until today. Because we choose anybody for any position, does not make it ceremonial. Don't come and force one funny narrative on us, because Tinubu must be defended at any cost. An Ambassador will always be superior to a Deputy in Chief. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 3:43pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
raumdeuter: Oasis is right. Most of the real jobs is done by career staff like Head of chancellery and others who are working full time there everyday for years.
Ambassadors are mainly political and for politicians looking for settlements. Some of these ambassadors just get appointed this year yet spend most time in Nigeria doing local politics
There was a time Ganduje was proposed for ambassador, there was a time Obanikoro was one of the ambassadors. One day Okpebolo, Yahaya Bello might become ambassadors. Do you really think diplomacy work will be done by those type of people?
They are just there to mark calendar
Even in America, Trump made his Father in law and business partners ambassadors Who does the Head of Chancellery or the Deputy in Chief report to? Because we appoint anyone as Ambassador, doesn't automatically downplay the role of an Ambassador. I'm surprised you're saying this kind of thing. So because Okphebolo has F9 in almost all subjects, suddenly makes a governor a figurehead? |

BlueRayDick: With the way Federal government is reacting to t Trump's position on this genocide matter, I won't be surprised if FG goes all out to enforce censorship of media reportings of insecurity issues going forward.
They may soon forbid media houses from dwelling much on religion/ethnicity of victims and ethnicity of perpetrators of these terror attacks going forward.
I won't put it past them that they will rather be furious with people reporting these incidents than putting boots on the ground to actually go after the perpetrators of terror attacks and bring them to book.
The only way to actually have majority of Nigerians on your side is to really show results. Show you are doing enough to deal with the terrorists.
Nobody will see you absorbing "repentant terrorists" into the army and take you serious.(these are terrorists who have been bombing churches and sacking entire communities as far back as 2013)
Nobody will see that the killers of Deborah have not been convicted 3 years after and take you serious. In fact, the FG (Nigeria police) literally allowed the suspects arrested for Deborah's murder to walk free because they refused to appear in court on various occasion forcing the magistrate to throw out the case.
How will your own citizens know this and you expect them to side with you? This girl's death will always be a painful one amongst all I have heard. I really don't know how Trump hopes to intervene, but Muslim community in Nigeria, especially those in power will not find it rosy |

Partisanship should not be blind support, that is why I when I point out the failures of PDP, and some people talk about atiku, I find it cringe, because supporting someone doesn't mean you shouldn't criticize them, if they fvck up. I have left him to continue the DM role. An Ambassador is a ceremonial head, but the Deputy in Chief, who reports directly to the Ambassador is who matters.... So when countries send their Ambassador to the table, you tell them you have your Deputy in Chief, as an Ambassador doesn't matter. Such Masterclass |
