Ibime: Now after opening up the ECA as a bribe, you want to start giving lamba that Governors should allow you to save after the horse has bolted. If you wanted to save, you should have shown that in your action and not bribing them with it on the first day to secure their political support. You slander the man for sharing it as a bribe, then slander him again for trying to save ? El Oh El Well, my point was the only governor recorded that insisted it should be saved. While others will come and gaslight us that GEJ chopped everything, (excluding themselves from the choppings), one person was crying with his chicken voice for us to save. I have heard you sir. Ibime: GEJ was a minority President who relies on Governors to win elections. The case was in court and FG could have easily influenced the decision. Every political observer knows the ECA sharing was a bribe to Governors to support Goodluck Government and win 2011 elections. Even NOI knows it, hence the complete turnaround in approach between Yaradua and Goodluck on the first day of Goodluck presidency. If ECA was a bribe to Governors, how come GEJ was pleading for it to be saved, and the same Governors were agitating for it to be shared? You cannot be holding on to two points and at the same time pass them off as truths. 1) Governors wanted the ECA shared because GEJ was squandering it. At the same time 2) ECA was a bribe to Governors to support his second term. You need to choose one side, so we can know what we are following. |

Ibime: Did I dispute the record of event? I said Governors asked for their share because FG was spending the money wastefully. Savings that belongs to both FG and State Governments. So FGs recklessness is what prompted the states to ask for sharing before FG finish the money.
And even if the States wanted their own share, what happened to FG share? Why was it also blown? Firstly you said it was Lamba sold by GEJ Then you said it was a bribe to Governors for another term Now, you're agreeing with it, and asking for a report on how FG spent theirs. You're saying a lot, and taking many sides, my very respected elder brother. |

Ibime: Nothing like that. How come they never did same to OBJ and Yaradua
Everytime Governors come to meeting, ECA has been reducing instead of being added to in light of high oil price. So they asked for state share before GEJ finish it all. Remember that every dollar Nigeria earns is 50% FG, 50% state. So any savings is the same. So why will they all be saving money and GEJ is spending it like a drunkard?
And even on top of that, FG cannot lose any court case it means to win, and the case was never settled. And should the States share their 50%, where is FG 50%?
This is a major lamba sold by GEJ. ECA was first shared on 1st Jan 2010 where GEJ called them to midnight meeting while normal Nigerians were celebrating New Year's to share ECA with them. It was his bribe to the Governors to support his candidacy as a minority President. He bought the 2011 election with ECA Lamba indeed. Firstly, that was written by NOI, not GEJ. She was present there, and that was her record of the event. Make we believe you wey no dey there? Secondly, your Lamba verdict would have made sense if it was an APC Governor clamouring for savings. Obi was a PDP governor asking for it to be saved. How come him no want the bribe? |

Did we hear different speeches from president Buhari from 2015 to 2023 making excuses or absolving boko haram?
Did the army stop clamping down on boko haram? I can substitute Buhari for Jonathan in your questions, and it will still be the same. Everything you accuse Jonathan of, happened under Buhari. More people were displaced in his 8 years than since 1999. Under him, COAS was buying houses in Dubai. So i really don't know how you want to blame Jonathan, and absolve Buhari, even though he handled it worse. |

GloriousGbola: This is my opinion about pdp and boko haram
PDP/ gej allowed it to fester because
1) it was an opportunity for repeated emergency fund demands. Every other day there was a request for billions to fight bh. That was the basis of the dasuki atm.
2) it was a tool for whipping the opposition. Anyone who had a fight with gej was immediately tagged a boko haram supporter. It was done to Buhari, to apc, to Sanusi
3) it was a conduit for international scale theft. I am sure you remeber pastor bling bling and his private jet who were caught in south Africa trying to do transactions with executive outcomes for 15m usd in cash. (outside of legal channels) I am sure this particular transaction and others which follow terrorist financing patterns got the whole west riled up
4) they even used the excuse of boko haram to delay the election - with the goal of making apc run out of money
I am sure you remember that boko haram was literally bombing embassies in Abuja. When they running amok are in your capital city, nothing more needs to be said.
Buhari failed on everything, but boko haram is certainly not as powerful as they were leading up to 2015. No sir. Buhari was openly defending Boko Haram before he won in 2015. How can you be spinning it again? This is just one of the numerous links of Buhari faulting the clampdown on Boko Haram. Then Nigerians with two eyes and good eyesight, heard/read this, voted him again, and expected their attorney to stop them? https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/buhari-faults-clampdown-on-boko-haram-members/amp/

(gej claimed it was because of the stance on gays but imho it was about the way his administration handled boko haram - as a problem to be milked rather than solved.) So, how did Buhari handle it? To be milked or solved? |

Anyone can postulate what they could have done if they were there. If given Bill Gates money I could have made a highway to heaven
If Atiku would have been better, we will never know, Shebi many swore YarAdua 2007, Jonathan 2011 Buhari 2015 will turn Nigeria to Dubai. if they never ruled we for dey argue am now The beauty of democracy is usually seen before an election. Given those choices Buhari was the choice 3 times based on the options Naaah Nigeria would not have been this worse if that guy was ejected in 2019. Will Atiku have been better? raumdeuter: I believe he was answering the question of why he chose Buhari over Jonathan in 2015
So there was no work of 2015 to 2023 to measure when making the decision
Buhari stuck with his socialist ideas which further plunged an economy with reduced income into crisis by borrowing more and more to maintin certain things which income did not support e.g subsidy and Dollar rate I really will not blame anybody for voting Buhari in 2015. Let us not act like we had short memories. Nigerians were complaining about hardship too. Even if you picked Buhari without no history of PTF, it was justified. But supporting him after that? Some people really got tired of Jonathan, and chose Buhari, not because of PTF, but because truly Jonathan was a failure. We cannot be consoling ourselves of a Buhari of the past, when he just finished 8 years? That should be the Buhari you should be citing his work. |
