Those tokunbo tyres can be serious headache. You buy a tire today and it bends and starts wobbling in three months then you buy another. Before you know it, you have spent more than the same amount you would have used buying a new tire on the tokunbos. It's not like the tokunbos are even cheap.

Secondly, depending on the car you drive, getting a good used tire within the 4 year rule scam of FRSC can be difficult. I have a car that uses 235/45/17. Even tire sellers don't buy the used one from me because they say there's no demand for it.

Our roads are also fairly good here and I know them like the back of my palm. I can drive a whole year without entering any pothole.
The Michelins, Continentals and Dunlops cannot be found in new ones here. If you see am, na two arms and a leg e go cost.

And even in their Tokunboh state, they are better than using a new tyre that will tear inside a muddy pothole.

Na who tyre never show pepper dey price new one.

Me? New tyres are not for me in Lagos, and Nigeria grin

You waste time talking to that guy. Since the guy mentioned that no evidence of subsidy removal in spite of the obvious, I note he is not one that quarrels with common sense.

If after you supported Tinubu and likely Buhari, you are seeking to go to Poland as an illegal immigrant, common sense would tell him that something is wrong in his reasoning, but alas, he remains at war with common sense.

He continues to blame Peter Obi for his problem and claim tinubu is the best. Not a very smart fellow.
He taught Peter Obi a lesson, then contemplates running to Poland on a Tourist visa..

How come we can see his Next supermarket everywhere yet he saved money meant for state development? grin
Obi was one of Abacha's boys in the 90s. He was importing as far back as then

Obi was the MD/CEO of Fidelity bank before he stepped his feet into the government house.

I love your submission just like what I've been saying all these while too. If you believe Obi turned Anambra into Dubai, move to Anambra and buy fleet of cars just like in Lagos just to prove me wrong that he was a failure.

Only 2 set of people support Obi:

1. People who never visited or stayed in Anambra when he was governor or even till now.

2. His tribesmen that want an Igbo presidency despite know how much of a failure he was.

So my dear pearl, the day you visit Anambra and come back here to show me all the good works of Obi, only then will I take you serious.

There's no single old thread on nairaland, Twitter or anywhere you see 70% of Anambra people praising Peter Obi. Example is this:

https://www.nairaland.com/870945/what-exactly-peter-obi-doing

When una ready for presidency, make una bring David Umahi, we go vote that one. Taink U.
grin grin grin

If there's one thing Obi was better than the others, it was in being prudent. I can bet we won't have been seeing all these insensitive spendings especially from the presidency. Imagine saying Nigeria is broke, but he had gone to run the most expensive cost of governance since 1913.

And then, Tinubu has gone to show that he is as dull as even the Buhari before. When a state has money, the governor will look like a Master strategist. Now, we can see that nothing dey him head.

Well, elections are over...The real losers once again are you and me. You that supported him didn't even give him a year doubt. Na Poland you dey find....Poland of all countries?

One of my earnest desires is that Atiku should not merge with Obi. Let the 8 million Nigerians stupidly go again in 2027 to teach Obi a lesson.

Sadly, you won't even be available to make up that number. grin

If you have govt backup you can make significantly more in a 3rd world country than in a semi organized society.
You can tell a foreign investor he doesn't need to pay tax, the investor also knows he can treat workers like shit, probably doesn't have to go through the standard requirements e.g environmental care, he can flare gas or fumes anyhow, direct waste product anywhere

All these increase his profit significantly and give the local country some benefits

See why some companies like MTN JB etc no gree go. Nigeria is their biggest cash cow and they make a higher margin in Nigeria than they would have made in their home country
Not Government backup per se.

More like, if you can grease your way into the good books of the corrupt govt, you can make more.

For every foreign firm here, 3 or more have left. E mean say the field dey level for all of them.

But the price is not really a serious measure. It's the space.

These areas do not have the space. Na the major headache be that.
