He wants a local rice producer that's still struggling with rocketing prices of grains, fuel and the likes to compete with Thailand that produces 20m tonnes of rice, 8m more than they needed in their country.
Nigerians are always wicked until he decides to do it himself. Then he will find out that it is either a lie, or he is wicked too. grin

Imagine comparing Thailand rice production to Nigeria.

i was trying to remember the cost of lafarge cement

it is ironic that lafarge is in ewekoro - maybe two hours from lagos and therefore with lower shipping costs - but we still prefer to ship dangote cement all the way from obajana
One thing about Dangote is that he owns his production and he owns his logistics.

A man who controls two major factors of business is definitely the boss.

Lafarge outsources its transport to 3rd parties, unlike Dangote, so that could be a reason why he can compete down south with them

Oga na the lies the big man tell you be that…

Ask them to provide evidence to back their claims of high production…

Things are way cheaper in Nigeria before now…

Land for example is cheaper when compared to Thailand…

Our people are just wicked…..

How come Indomie produced by foreigners was very cheap when compared with prices abroad..

The Nigerian man is just wicked….

Do you mind mentioning on comparative advantage Thialand has over us when it come to rice farming?
Why not do the comparisons before slandering the comment?

Thailand produces rice, exports to Benin Republic, and it is smuggled here, yet it is cheaper

Just mentally calculate the taxes and profits on it as it moves from country to country, seller to seller, and it is still cheaper than our own. It tells you that his comment is right.

I'll be waiting for your counterfacts, instead of the "Nigerians are very wicked" line.

....then why did BUA CEO agree to reduce price? According to him, he will do so once Sokoto Line and other place he mentioned come on stream to meet the demand as a result of price reduction and possibly to force others to do same.

How much is a bag of rice in Benin Republic?!
Very simple...To take Dangote’s customers.

Or you think he loves Nigerians very much?

For every one bag of BUA cement bought, Dangote sells 5. He can easily budget millions to cover the losses in the name of "Marketing "

If he reduces his price, him go thief Dangote own.

The day he will increase his price, he will not tell you.

You mean its costlier abi?

And they said it's even with the govt 50% reduction in transportation oo. So let's wait if it will be 350 on monday or 750.

If its 750, it means the intended price before the 50% reduction is 1500.

I really don't know how city metro line pricing works in other country so I can't even comment on it. Maybe our "abroadians" can give us an idea. grin
Apart from costlier, i feel it has no edge over our conventional buses.

The first headache for a commuter is where the Marina terminal is located.

A bus from Mile 2 has 30% of its passengers alighting at Apongbon, another 40 to 50% alighting at Oando, and the rest at Marina.

If i enter at 750, I cannot come down at Apongbon or Oando. So i have to trek shegeshiously back to my shop.

I can see the train running empty back and forth, especially during the day.

You can call for jungle justice if you want to but at least in our current law, for a crime to be punished, the offender has to have his days in court.

You can interpret it in whatever you want again bro. 👍

Na who be the una wey dey clap for Ganduje tho?

Almost everyone here also condemn Wike for the stunt he pulled in Rivers state.

I really do not know why "Holding our leaders accountable" is always scratching our balls on this thread.

Oya don't hold them accountable now. grin
I am waiting for the day you will come here to complain about any crime and I'll simply use your line; "They will have their day in court".

If courts were really working, would we be complaining about anything?

Or you think Gabon and Cameroun don't have courts that prosecute public officials?

It is downright hypocrisy to condemn Wike for rigging and election, and then come back again to clap for him for being a minister. At what point should we then hold him accountable?

Like i said, you better don't complain about any crime, my friend. Everybody must have their day in court.

From politicians to fraudsters, murderers to terrorists, all of us will have our day in court.

If a stranger connives with your brother to scam you, the problem is not the stranger, but your brother.

All the arguments about the West, and yet, no one has pointed where the West personally put us in poverty; It is still a Nigerian, Nigerien, Gabonese that was used.

Ibori was discharged and acquitted of all crimes, yet the same West jailed him and recovered monies on our behalf. It is even the same Ibori that APC apologists are sampling and celebrating on this thread. So, how is that a West problem?

I’ve been busy of late, but I still took my time to read through the whole “ blame the west vs Hold ur African leaders accountable “ discussion. People on both sides of the table made good points 👍

However , One thing that caught my attention is the fact that some of the people who want Africans to keep the west out of their mouth but instead hold their leaders accountable ; are actually people who were either against ENDSARS , were defending government during the ENDSARS and even blamed the youth for the fall out of the protests.

I didn’t just arrive at this conclusion, I actually put “SARS” in front of monikers and did local search 🔍

The Blackman don suffer sha and the sufferness is proudly sponsored by his fellow Blackman. If he decides to face his immediate oppressors who are citizens like him voted to be in charge of government , his fellow Blackman will introduce tribal sentiments , propaganda , political sentiments to defend the oppressors .

Yes and how is my post not clear enough? You are the one that said Ganduje wont be having his day in court within 8yrs, I never said so neither did I say he will be tried in 8yrs or not. My post was simple, he will have his days in court, when that will be I don't know.

That's the reason why I gave the example of Diezani. That it took 8yrs before the UK will be charging her for bribery and corruption lend credence to my post.

Whether now, in 2yrs or in 10yra, having his day in court still means the same thing.
