BlueRayDick: What did countries bordering Mali and Burkina Faso do when the coupists strike in the respective countries? Why do we have to make it a point of duty that we must interfere in their internal crisis as a sovereign nation?
What people people calling for military action should consider first is the bold part of ur post. When countries have diverse ethnic groups like Niger internal crises will always happen like we have in Nigeria. People will always shout of marginalization and different pain points will always be aired. Nigeria has Fulani herdsmen, IPOB/UGM, Bandits, etc all doing their things.
Their internal crises is not our fight, not at this time we have paucity of funds and we have our own internal crises to contend with. France and America whose interests will be well served are not taking a front row , its foolhardiness for us to.
This is my own personal opinion on this matter. What do you advise President Tinubu to do, as he also serves as the President of ECOWAS? I don't think you have answered that. |

BlueRayDick: Civil war will also happen if the junta is exited forcefully and not by dialogue like they did with Burkina Faso Coupists who promised to exit 2024.
At least it is widely known that the majority hausa ethnic group seized power in Niger . ECOWAS thinking they will round up the coupists , reinstall Bazoum , leave the country in safe hands and the people of Niger will live happily ever after is one big amusing fantasy honestly . If it is a fantasy, what do we do? Sanctions have been imposed, and you can see how the country is struggling to breathe. You highlighted that we have over 100 unmanned borders with Niger. I can assume that those places are starting to get flooded with refugees, yet no war has even started If Junta rules, a civil war must break out. Bazoum is also from a tribe too, and i heard Niger is just like Nigeria; Very diverse. So, if removing junta is an amusing fantasy, which option wouldn't be? |

GloriousGbola: Prices of diesel are announced from head office and cascaded down to the field. Typically you get a call to tell people to change the price on the price board. So I called a person who does that and he told me 650
Two possibilities
Price has changed since our convo You went to what is called a gallonage - a station carrying the brand name but actually a franchisee and not owned by NNPC in any way.
Where is the station you bought from? NNPC, Iyana Isashi PMS is 568 Diesel is 790. Help me confirm the price, so i can go and collect my change in the evening |

Just as was the case in 1939 - we can play Neville chamberlain or we can play Winston Churchill.
But the fact of the matter is the Russians are here. My greatest fear in all these. BlueRayDick: Saying “all eyes are on the tribunal judges” seem like ; if the tribunal judges give a judgement that doesn’t conform with the popular will of the people then they should be ready to face the music of whatever comes next .
That’s what I perceive from the tone of the advert . I might be wrong tho Very okay if we have perceptions. But if we look at it as it is, nothing is wrong with it. Is Tinubu's eyes not on the same judiciary? His hopes of remaining president lies in their hands too. |

Under what law will they be prosecuting them? What crime will they prosecute them for ?
PS: [I am in between as far as the advert is concerned . In a way it looks like the advert is putting pressure on the judiciary unduly and in another way it looks as if it’s not a wrong thing to do. Particularly since the Adamu Bulkachuwa unforced own goal of admitting he influenced his wife’s decisions when she was president of court of appeal Pressure ke? How? |

LP eyes are on the judiciary PDP eyes are on the judiciary Even APC eyes are on the judiciary. That ad is not fake news. Every body's eyes are on the judiciary. That ad did not break any law. larride: Nobody is saying it's the client that erected the structure.
That you are giving an advertising license to run billboard does not give you the leeway to accept and run anything you want on the billboard.
If you've seen the nonsense that they have been using that hashtag to post on Twitter, any same advertising agency wont even accept the job talkless of putting it up on their billboard. So, if i write "All eyes on the government", it is nonsense? Yes, there are laws guiding advert placements, but nothing is wrong with that advert, if you remove APC and LP lenses to look at it. Anyways, this is FCTA tweet. You can see they are selling another idea to the public. The client doesn not erect billboards. Billboard is removed. Violators will be notified soon.
Billboard removed and violators booked by signage and Advertising agency of the govt. FG and FCTA have commenced investigation. You must follow due process before any billboard is erected. They will be prosecuted and their license will be suspended in line with the law. Don’t break the law. Any internal culprit in govt agencies will be punished

larride: You are asking what law was broken with that billboard? Yes, i am asking. I have worked with an advertising agency, and i want to know what law was broken. The structure (that iron pipes) is owned by an advertising agency, which definitely has a licence, and definitely pays rent monthly to have it there. The Client (Ndi All eyes) paid the advertising agency to put that advert there; similar to how you pay your landlord rent to take his shop, and sell what you want there. The Client did not erect that structure. They only paid the advertising agency to put that advert there. So, yes, what law was broken there? Help me state it. |
