To our brothers in the abroad,
Abeg is this how big roundabouts are over there?
Or what are the advantages of having the size of a football field as a roundabout?
I passed here early this year, and I was imagining the aim and objective of this large roundabout.
Is this not a waste of space?

BlueRayDick: You are right.
I shipped on Wednesday from their Victoria Island office. The fee they charge is based on the value of the item you are sending.
In my case, I have the value of the phone as 400k and was charged N23,700. According to them, the fee includes insurance cost so if Ur package goes missing they will claim from insurance to recover the cost which you declared at the point of dispatch.
I checked the mail they sent for tracking the package this morning and I can see the package has reached their office in Abuja this morning.
I believe the receiver will pick it up tomorrow cos I've informed the receiver of its arrival as per the tracking website info.
Just wanted to give you an update and thank you for the recommendation. You're welcome, Chief. |

BlueRayDick: Don't hold Ur breath, it won't happen.
With the whole tension of hardship and hunger in the land, the FG will use every trick in the book to make such protest to look like a plan to forcefully take over government by opposition. I pray it doesn't sha. Cases like this are more likely to spiral out of control. I already saw videos of protesters at the Police station accused, and they were already violent before they were dispersed with Tear gas Canisters. It's good that the IGP has dismissed all involved, and now, they can be tried in court. Let the case be fast and public. That's the only way to reduce the noise for now. |

I thought they said CNN and traditional media houses were spreading fake news, so why aren't they doing anything about this nonsense? Didn't know folks on Twitter were this hungry for crumbs until Musk started this creator payout stuff that turned most of the folks there into what I no longer understand. semid4lyfe: Been seeing the complaints from suppliers and vendors on TikTok, especially the dragging of the paramount lady but I kinda think it was inevitable and the natural direction of things especially with increased internet access, and better supply chains and logistics.
As globalization takes hold, gatekeeping information by wholesalers became more difficult. Throw in cheap internet access and the monetization of social media, and everything kpafuka. Now. a retailer and a wholesale have access to the same Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.
Social media especially TikTok, Instagram and Facebook were the death knell. Clout entered business, attention became currency and people began creating content not just to sell but to chase views and engagements. So they let out industry and trade secrets instead of protecting supply chains, logistics methods and routes.
Another thing, the Chinese are astute business people, and are always looking to expand to new markets. They have access to data and can crunch the numbers. Nigeria with its huge 250 million people with a youth population of 140 - 160 milion is a huge market that cannot be ignored.
Also, we are increasingly shopping online. Go on aliexpress, Temu and other international e-commerce sites. You are guaranteed to see feedback/reviews from Nigerian buyers on popular products. The Chinese would have studied our buying patterns and made their sales projections before coming to set up here.
Bottom line, Chinese suppliers coming to set up shop in Nigeria no be because Nigerians leak trade secrets. It was inevitable and bound to happen. And make we talk true, if your business depends on hiding your supply source and inflating prices, the internet will expose you one day. Sellers need to adapt by giving competitive prices, and execute better.
Talking about execution, I placed an order yesterday for a Qasa Pro 5 Heavy Duty Blender from a Lagos based vendor I met on TikTok, and this morning at 11am, I got a call to come pick my order. This is the fastest I have received an order in all my years of buying from Jiji, Konga, Jumia, IG and TikTok vendors How she take run am? She delivers to the East via Night bus arrangement so next day delivery is guaranteed. Na the adaptation and execution wey I dey talk be this. I actually know that online shopping is now rising faster than ever. I am not opposing that. I am simply saying that wealth is made and kept through its trading secrets. You stay ahead of the game by either being efficient (with value), or hiding your source or knowledge. When you go to China and tell the whole world how you got a bag for 5 Yuan and you're selling it for 10k, you are also telling the Chinese seller that he can make more than the 5 Yuan he sold to you. The same way you hide how much you buy it from your customers, is the same way you hide how much you sell it from the Seller. These are trading secrets that everyone who made wealth from buying and selling kept. Nobody builds wealth by openly showing their patterns. If anybody shows you how he makes his money, you are the customer. |

BlueRayDick: The first law of Stupidity propounded by Cipolla in his work titled "The basic laws of human stupidity" says:
Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation
Then his 4th law of stupidity further says:
Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people infallibly turns out to be a costly mistake.
This is the case of Nigeria; I see it playing out already and it will definitely culminate into Tinubu getting re-elected.
I mean tell me why anyone will see the insecurity we have suffered under this government , the number of people who have been thrown below the poverty line and how bad the power situation has gotten under this administration and we have people saying they do everything within their power to give this government a return ticket. Exactly. All those ransacked villages will still vote him, the moment they get their own rice and pant. |

I'm happy to see someone share the same thoughts with me.
The kind of nonsense I see on SM these days has to be funny. You go to China and find a closed market. Instead of buying, fixing your margin and making your profit, you decide to set camera and tell your followers what you found, and how much they can sell it in Nigeria.
Now, Chinese are trooping massively into Nigeria. From Panels, Clothes, bags, etc, they have bypassed you and are bringing it to Nigerians cheaper.
We too do, to be honest!

This is massive in so many ways I can’t even count. This made my day! Thank you Dangote, we will never forget.
While I have a glimmer of hope because this is happening during the tenure of the distinguished Prof. Nnenna Oti, I desperately hope Dangote has put a strong system to ensure funds are not embezzled or diverted. I really wish the funds will be used to actually enhance education solely. If dem build hostel inside 550 million, how much go remain? Make students sort their hostel issues, but make machines, equipments and all that is very essential for education and research be made available I was also grateful when a church donated and MRI machine worth $1 million to Abia state government. Our Government would rather build 300 room hospital with only bed and AC, than buy these machines. So make dem kuku give them the machines, make dem go build the infrastructure. |

That’s why I suggested that he reduce the price to below $1 million. Until the value of our passport holder climbs up, this absolutely makes no sense. Even the $1 million you put is an overstretch What exactly will the investor gain by presenting a Nigerian passport in US, or SA sef? Nothing. PDPGuy: Thoughts on Chief Olumofin’s idea? I know Naija has considerably more mineral wealth/Human Resources than the Caribbean nations that he referenced, but that $5 million price tag could be reduced to, say, $1 million or $750,000… Our passport ranks 89th in the World. This is what someone should come and spend $5 million dollars to get?? Singapore ranks #1, and costs $10 million to get it's citizenship by investment. Na people wey no fit afford something dey get better plan for the money. |
