BlueRayDick: The link in Raumdeuter's post talks about Soludo complaining of pastors who preach gospel of salvation without the cross.
If somebody does fake miracle, what crime would you charge him for ? How do you prove he did a fake miracle ?
I get if someone promises to make you rich spiritually, collects money from you and then he didn't fulfil his promise. For that you can always charge such person for obtaining money by false pretense since you lost money to his scam. But how do you charge someone who brought people to deceive you that they restored someone's sight when he wasn't blind? If there was no exchange of money between the congregation that believe and the scammer pastor, how do you charge him with the law?
I am actually interested in Soludo charging these guys to court and would love to follow the proceedings and eventual judgement in such case sha They will give you a blind man to heal in court. It's left for you to heal am, or be charged with anything related to deceit |

BlueRayDick: Some of these things Soludo is doing, he is only getting away with it because nobody has really sued the Anambra state government for false imprisonment and violating their fundamental human rights.
I wonder what law he will claim they broke by preaching gospel of ‘salvation without the cross’. The whole just don't make much sense because freedom is a fundamental human right that is guaranteed in the constitution. Whatever state law Soludo may have had the state house of assembly to pass on the issue of pastors and what they preach, such laws will always be trumped by the fundamental human right to religion that is guaranteed by the constitution.
I don't think it is in the place of a governor to decide what people believe in and how a particular religion chooses to conduct themselves once they are obeying the law while practicing whatever they believe. I think Soludo is just letting his own personal religious beliefs force him to dictate what others believe in.
I am very certain if a number of some of those arrested by the state security outfit sue the state government, they are sure to get judgement in their favour.
PS: I am not saying fake pastor should be allowed to thrive o. I am only saying the terrain Soludo is trending is one that cannot be dealt with bullish force because that is almost going to be illegal when tested in a law court So Solidi has been clamping down on ritualists. Anybody who promised that he can spiritually make you rich, Soludo go pursue am. Last month, the Anglican Church is Nigeria dismissed a priest in Anambra for conducting fake miracles. It was and is still a big news in Anambra It was in that light that Soludo now started to find fake pastors. He is not against preaching or church activities. But if you say you dey do miracle, you better be ready to prove it. And I think that's okay for the believers and unbelievers |

raumdeuter: They can claim its acting and content creation, The issue is between the healer and the healed. If the blind man says he is healed while he isn't then goodluck to him
Most things about religion dont make sense. but its your belief and no one can question you. E.g you are donating your money as tithe and believe that is a way God is increasing you. Same with a blind man who claims he was healed.
Pastor Raum laid hands on you, you went from 2mins man to 2 hours man. If you harvest 10 yams and claim you harvested 100, when you eat the real 10 yams, you will also enjoy the 90 fake yams
As long as you are not killing people Since when did the definition of a "Seeing man" change. I think there's a need to sanitize that part of our community. If you say you can heal, let's take you to Kano street, Ebute Metta. Hundreds of crippled beggers are there. Oya, help the government make them whole. True, but the Headies used to be a big thing back then. Artistes were actually looking forward to winning it. I think they had two controversial episodes and that was it. The popular ones berated the award, and the relevance was lost. A country like Nigeria should have a Musical award for itself. Something big |

BlueRayDick: It could be Aza issues and it may be something else like cult related killings. One thing that is certain is Nigeria as a country is one place you shouldn't offend people any how because there are so many unforgiving people in this country and they can always take out vexation on you without the law catching up with them.
There was a case of one Ugo guy that trended all through the weekend on Twitter. The guy spent 10m proposing to his naija babe, spent millions on their wedding, sponsored her relocation to the UK with millions of naira and paid her tuition in a UK varsity. The lady ended up cheating in him with another bloke in Manchester and the guy was crashing out on Twitter.
I told someone yesterday that an unforgiven person in that guy's shows count even make that much crashing out noise online. He would give her the silent treatment, allow her think he's a fool for getting "run-street"....then he would continue to monitor her.
He would wait for when she goes to naija where the law doesn't work and treat her mess up. He can have all her family members either kidnapped or murdered or worse. She may even be subjected to worse. It's a good thing the guy in questuon is free minded and chose to express his feelings online. People wey genuinely wicked dey this country well well o Exactly my thoughts! It could be anything, and the circulating Aza story may just make the Police or anybody responsible for such cases to relax. People can be truly wicked and can do anything to revenge. |

Lol, that dude is funny.
Go to Agege in Lagos state that is on the outskirts and has some of the bottom barrels living standards in Lagos. The roads in Agege streets are in top tier condition and will compete with what even many states capital roads and streets can deliver.
Comparing Lagos to other states is just a dishonest comparison. The advantage Lagos has is far far ahead than any other state. You can put a clueless governor in Lagos and it wouldn't make much difference cos the system just works for itself. What people might be complaining of could be for better living standards or better business climate.
While most people in the state won't be complaining for better roads or infrastructure, they might be complaining for congestion free roads, less public waste and less prone to flooding neighborhoods. Quite different reality for someone who might be in Calabar, Oshogbo, Ilorin. Sorry, I missed this! He obviously knows nau. The basics in Lagos, are like State government targets in many states. And it's not like I want everywhere to be like Lagos. Just give us the basic needs of a functioning society. You will understand how deplorable our education is, when you travel to see the structure of public primary and secondary schools in other states. Nigeria gives me headaches, sometimes |

Lagos is only Lagos when you're looking at the high brow towns. Worse indeed. These are pictures of a Fire Service Station in Ajegunle. The Fire Service Station in Owerri is not even as standard as this This is a school commissioned recently that can host 20,000 students. Everybody knows Tolu Complex. Let me not even talk about how their roads have been interlocked; From Achakpo, Mbah and Cardoso....All interlocked Anybody can say anything online. Ajegunle is far far better than many towns in many states

Theflint1: Exactly. There's no part of what constitutes Lagos that you won't feel government presence.
Lagos is far ahead of most Nigerian states, but if other states are serious they can catch up and build much more livable and effective cities in even less than 20 years, that's assuming Lagos continues with its current style of governance. Only "Livable" is even enough. I don't see how a state in the South cannot have access to electricity in 2026. Some communities in the South don't have "Electric poles" in their community, talk more of seeing power. See the state of some of the public schools. Our leaders in the South no dey try at all. I agree that no state may catch up with Lagos, but for all of them, only less than 3 towns, apart from their capital can be considered worthy to be in any conversation |

One of the misconceptions we make when comparing states with Lagos is that we use their capital as against Lagos.
When we look at Lagos, we look at the entire state .....(Ikeja, Eti-Osa, Alimosho, etc)
When we look at other states, we only look at the capital and one or two towns.
If you compare the entire state with Lagos, absolutely nothing dey there |

BlueRayDick: There's no way every state can be like Lagos. Why? Because the strategic advantage Lagos had over the years, most states don't have it.
Forget all those political lamba about one person building Lagos. Lagos had a whole lot of strategic advantage that dates back to the 60's.
Jakande built low cost housing estate as governor as far back as early 80's. Federal government built FESTAC as far back as the mid to late 70's. How many states could boast of that kind of development those same period?
The truth is other states will only play catch up. What one can only pray and hope for is that other states shouldn't be so far behind as tbey are currently. Every state can at least measure up, and that is why God needs to punish our governments since 1999. At least, the basic responsibilities like power, roads, schools shouldn't be a topic of discussion in 2026 |

Can anybody tell me what is the difference between tribalism and Xenophobia or racism?
If you ask me, tribalism is even worst because it's literally your own fellow country person you're discriminating against. In South Africa, people are being attacked and their properties looted. The thing is all these tech companies need to start giving youngings chance into mentorship/internship roles where they can learn and grow then transition into senior roles in the future.
His approach of looking for ready-made talents to fill senior roles will not work. Blaming Nigerian education system, Yahoo Yahoo and youth's laziness for his inability to fill that senior role will not work at all.
There's a reason why the big 4's , oil companies, Banks and other financial services firms recruit graduate trainees every year to give smart fresh graduates a chance to learn, grow and transition into whatever career path the organizations figure they will excel based on their performance in the graduate trainee programs.
There's nothing like unemployability of Nigerian graduates. He should give them the required trainings, develop talents for the future and see if he won't see those same youth flying high in the nearest future.
