Out of 177,000 polling units, only 15,000 are most likely affected.
I am not a fan of Abaribe, but I like as e put Akpabio on the spot.

Olowunl01: Chief, do you guys truely believe electronic transmission of results would make any difference? Nigerians are masters at gaming the system, billions was wasted last election, last just go back to option A4 & use the money for other stuff rather than a process that would be compromised even by the gate keepers, especially when there's no consequence.
If PDP in 16yrs failed to implement an election system that is foolproof because current system favoured, they can't complain APC doing the same, these guys are all the same. I really haven't said anything about party here. Maybe we are talking about two different things. The people who rejected the motion are Senators; PDP inclusive. My point is that we haven't even counted the cost before we cancelled it. Why can't it work? Because Nigerians are gaming the system. But Nigerians are gaming the system, right? Akpabio has said that 9 states are affected. 27 Senatorial districts are affected out of more than 108, yet it's a bad idea. Meanwhile, we have a whole 11 months to figure out a way for this 27 zones, but no, let's scrap it. I really don't know what Nigerians against this thing wants. Our senators are fighting for their rigging quota, and a common person like me dey support am. |

How many people should Nigeria sacrifice while we are trying to perfect this when we already have a system that works
https://www.cnn.com/2017/08/12/africa/kenya-elections-protests Lol. How many people have lost their lives since 1999 because of elections? Akpabio has told you it is 9 states that are affected.... One year to plan for 9 states, and you are explaining since last week. Ehn, Olorogun? |

No be Africa this Kenya dey The results in question was later cancelled and another fresh one was conducted in 60 days As at 2017, Kenya has gradually started facing the challenges of transmission, and will some perfect it In 2026, the disgraced giant of Africa doesn't even want to try, but prefer patronizing Eleganza and Bic biros to cancel. |

BlueRayDick: I don't really understand how anybody will see the nonsense that happened in Rivers state during the presidential election and will continue to support the biro and tipex system we currently have.
It beats my imagination. It just look as if they have fear that their worst fear will eventually crystallize.
They are asking what will happen if results are hacked as if people at the polling unit will not take picture of the result sheets before they are uploaded online and then monitor what gets uploaded on the site eventually.
The fact that they don't want to see the positives of the system but continue to focus on the negatives just shows they are fine with the current system ghat has failed and continue to fail. Smh 🤦♂️ They obviously know what they are doing nau. By 2027, we will still see cases of biro and cancellation. Something many African countries have long outgrown. You say the old process no dey okay, but you no wan take eye see another option. No be juju be that? |

Amoto94: Is the system OK? no, it is not. Is the alternative being proposed feasible and reliable? No, I doubt. This is fuel subsidy subsidy removal kind of argument all over when something appears good on paper but factoring our peculiarities will make it lose its panacea status. Is it not in Nigeria that people will set offices on fire to sabotage system. What is the ratio of these affected areas to the unaffected ones? For almost every village, there is an active network provider (I stand to be corrected). Have we really sat down to check if each one can have some infrastructure only for the election process in 2027 (One year from now)? You cannot be telling me the old process is not okay, and at the same time, cancelling another option without any chance of looking into it. It obviously shows that we don't know what we want. |

Amoto94: Imagine a scenario during transmission of election result server got attacked and shut down like our electricity grid and upon restoration results are now different from the uploaded version. What will be the reaction? What is the scenario currently? People using biros to cancel numbers and rewrite Ballot boxes and papers snatched on their way to the collation centers Figures not adding up with registered voters You guys make it sound like we are doing fine, and this is just a casual ask. The whole system isn't okay. |

Ellexy: I'm not his fan but it's to say he has really done somethings to curb the insecurity that was out of hand in the state. The war against those native doctor ls and the subsequent arrest of the likes of Akwa, Ekehit etc has curbed alot of the horrible stories that was a usual daily occurrence. I'll give him credit for that.
Hopefully he also acts on this issue of cultism that is obviously another head of the insecurity monster. Akwa and Eke Hit was just last year. Soludo is on his 5th run. We have had insecurity before he came on board. The Unknown gunmen, etc. It was his tenure Late Dora's husband was killed and we didn't hear anything about the killers. It was his tenure that a HoR was beheaded, and nothing happened. Compared to what the state has suffered, he has underperformed in insecurity |
