So this is how Cockroach's reign will come to an end?
Now here's what will happen
APC can't win Imo anymore because Rochas won't support them and also because Uzodinma is as worthless as egusi chaff politically
Nwosu can't win under AA because, though his in-law will support him, nobody go vote for am on that day. So it's highly impossible to rig when you didn't even have any vote
In all, the race is between PDP and APGA

helinues: No two other option than to transform Ipobs or whatever group into one political party. And with that, it will still take years to even decide on referendum. Apart from the war, no region is having it better under one Nigeria. We are all locked together in a country where Monkey dey work Bamboo dey chop. How about how FG is treating their source of income, SS. If you have ever been to North, then you will be grateful about your region even upon the war. The north are cursed but they don't know. How many years have they been killing themselves all in the name of BH and herdsmen. Karma is real to those who don't believe in it.
About Tinubu A journey of thousand miles begins with a step. Tinubu knew this and build a dynasty. When last did he occupies any political post but still relevant, not just relevant, no politician in Nigeria is in the same category with Jagaban. See nobody worships Tinubu down SW, just that his leadership has brought so many goodies to his people.
And let me ask, when are you guys going to stop blaming everybody except yourself. When are you start blaming your leaders and politicians for enriching themselves and cronies but neglect the masses. Abia has been under one party, any development? Your leaders/Politicians are your real enemy. What do you think will happen if PDP goons set their eyes on NK? I think I'll have to end our discussion
Read from the beginning and see if your last comment tallies with what we have been discussing
You just missed the point.

SIRTee15: But Nigeria cant conduct referendum on a people who hasn't OFFICIALLY asked for one..... There has to be a political force in the SE calling for this referendum.... Nigeria has to sit with some political figures from SE to draft the terms of referendum and agree on the outcome..... Or else the whole exercise will just be purely academic and may end up like the Catalonian case.... That's the reason why some advocate that a pro secession political group has to hijack the political positions in SE.... Your present leaders are out of it, they will simply throw u guys under the bus..... A new pro referendum force has to come in and take over...
My guy, u sound intelligent..... secession is not easy as IPOB makes it look..... It's hard work and requires years of careful planning, meticulous process, strategic agitation and strong political will from the region to make it happen.....
I'm not against any group leaving Nigeria as the country itself is evidently a failed experiment and an embarrassment to the black race.... However, a unilateral action of referendum or secession either by Nigeria or SE region just won't cut it in today's world where vested interest differs..... If it's not formal, the foreign powers will not recognize the new nation..... Remember, this people want a Nigeria that's big but useless and incompetent, thus easily exploited..... That's their own vested interest and will find every excuse to keep it that way..... And I'm sure the last thing u want is to have your new country but still have to travel out with a Nigerian passport..... I'm not saying a referendum is going to be easy. I'm not saying it may work. But I'm saying its worth a shot, at least for we the masses
How long are we going to keep deceiving ourselves? Our leaders have failed us. There is so much hate among all tribes, and every tribe sees himself as more superior than the rest. Our leaders even use ethnicity and religion to manipulate we the masses
What's the fate of this country, say 40 years from now?
This country has been divided already through religion and ethnic lines.
I agree with you that the leaders will not allow it. But I don't see why a common man will oppose division. It's the best thing that will happen to us. In fact, it will bring true governance to us all

helinues: Do you have an idea what it takes to conduct a recognised referendum? Before they can even pass the bill of considering whether to allow referendum or not, it will take like a year. Let assume majority vote yes, the preparation to conduct the referendum will take another year( more like proper election, after the referendum let assuming the result is yes majority, new bills will be sent to house to make final decisions. That's another year, if majority of them also say yes( which is not certain/visible), they can now decide when Biafra will leave. Optimism
Realism, the process will take more than 6 years. That's 2 government. Even if any Nigeria president wants to consider referendum for SE, it ought to be after winning his second term election and that can't be in his plan the next 2 years in second term .
New government, new policy. We all saw what happened to CONFAB I really am not a political person, but I know Tinubu is not stupid.
You think Tinubu is so stupid to labor for all these, and if Buhari finishes, he will hand it to an Igbo man in 2023?
The truth is after 2023, the West will take over till 2031 That's 12 years from now.
Now your 6 years estimation is better isn't it?
I'm not arguing with you to prove a point. I'm talking to you as a Nigerian who's pained about what this country is turning into
Conduct a referendum.Let it take how long it wants to.
Peace is very paramount. If the north and west can live peacefully, it's fine |

If they transform to a political party and then get to power in year whatever, and then eventually conduct the referendum, what's the difference?
I don't support bullying or disrespect, but if Nkechi disrespects or insults Rashidi, the sensible option for Rashidi is to part ways with Nkechi, instead of forcing Nkechi to respect him, which isn't working
I'm Igbo. I love Nigeria and i love my tribe. But I'll rather let them go and let peace reign than allowing everywhere to be heated up
No need to form any political party. Conduct a referendum and the outcome decides their fate
Stop making it look like Nigeria cannot stand without them

helinues: Catalonia should have been an independent country long time time if that's your assertion. If not a war, seceding peacefully is not real And USSR seceeded through war Abi?
I really do not blame the Igbos when they insult other tribes, feel superior and throw hate speeches here and there
You know why? Because Nigeria won't let them go
Let them go.
I can understand the fact the politicians won't allow this because of their selfish interests. But I don't know why you can't see the better picture. It's a win-win for both groups |

helinues: Then you are not facing the reality. Others will never allow Biafra's to go unless everybody is ready to go on their separate ways. Should Biafra separate, there would be no Nigeria. Nigeria as an entity has so many advantages. From your comment, the unrest, hate speeches, killings and other atrocities can never end.
If you feel they have be sidelined because they refused to build whatever bridge you guys are talking about, then I see no reason why they should be forced to stay
Let them go. The North and the West will take turns in ruling each other. There wouldn't be any need for a third party.
Just conduct a simple referendum. They might even lose it in the process |

And you ask about others? We are talking about the South east. The others will still remain as Nigeria. After all, it's only the South east that is agitating
Just conduct a simple referendum. If they break out and end up like South Sudan, that shouldn't be Nigeria's problem anymore

Which region is organised in Nigeria, what's the blueprint of the new country, logo, currency, diplomatic relationship with other country, Military, type of government. The list is endless Biafra has their logo, currency, and blue prints. They already divided it into provinces already. And what's the rocket science in establishing diplomatic ties? With an influential figure as a foreign minister, it wouldn't be difficult
Let the government just conduct a referendum.
Or won't the 5 geo political zones survive if the south east leaves? |
