As a casual movie goer, I've only seen a couple of new movies this year, and, have regretted them wholeheartedly, esp with the economy being what it is. If I'm gonna throw away my money, it'd better be on something meaningful. Anyhoo, after much mental gymnastic with myself, I agreed to give Shazam a shot since it has good ratings and reviews and whatnot, and man... THAT. WAS. FUN.

The movie has the best comedy I've seen from DC in like... ever. Really an A- stuff. Glad to see my guy, Zack Levi finally snagging a big role, and blowing it out of the water. He has really come a long way since "Chuck". Also, all the jokes were hits. The part where Billy and Mark Strong were yelling across a mile of open air had me dying.

I hope DC continues with this light-hearted tone like they did with Aquaman as well. I much preferred them to the darker tones of their previous titles, with the exception of TDK trilogy of course. DC is certainly on a winning streak atm. I'm hyped for "Joker" more than ever. September can't come soon enough.

8/10 btw.

GENRE:Action, Thriller, Crime, Horror.

Acting was great & fast paced, the soundtrack fantastic, the plot good,the plot twist perfectly timed & executed. The movie keeps you guessing & asking questions like WTF just happened, WTH did he do that & WTF is really happening, you are kinda kept in the dark until the last 20mins or so of the movie, were all is fully revealed. And the ending damn, it was a big WTF. Thriller lovers, this is a fresh one from the oven.

Great animation, as expected from DC ✔️

Story basically revolved around Batman... Could have easily been a Batman Movie... Was basically an excellent movie, from the Animation to the fights... This is the first time I am seeing John Constantine in DC... Only time I saw him was as Keanu Reeves back then... Good to finally see what he is capable of

And Zatanna was Great... As expected ✔️

Seconded, at the bolded, but I meant the voice, i really wanted that dude to suffer, the shot got to the temple was just mercy killing for me.
At the second bolded, Pablo Escobar clearly comes to mind.
