Trust me, those radio presenters are not close to any foreign accent ,surprise to read comments about people writing about the radio presenters having foreign accent. Those who don travel go tell u say radio presenters no dey try for the foreign accent. Na those wey don dey 9ja go reason say radio presenters get foreign accent.

I am sure they worked on themselves to get to where they are now and are probably still trying to get better and I respect that fact. But i dont respect complacency. If you speak in a typical african accent with all the wrong pronunciations and all, a lot of people that speak proper English wont correct you, but you will still be looked down upon. We can definitely agree to disagree but my point is that we should not rest on our oars. English is not out mother tongue but that shouldnt be an excuse to not speak proper english. Its just like an Ibo actress speaking yoruba. if she doesnt get the pronunciations right, you'll say s/he is not fluent but if she speaks without an ibo accent, you'll say she speaks yoruba BETTER than even the natives. why does english have to be different?

I have an American accent and I have never been to the states. I grew in front of the TV, watching American movies and soaps, grew up listening to Hiphop all my life and I picked it up there. I also attended a very good elementary school, it was a UN gathering those days so I picked my accent. I was a chronic introvert all those years of my life and I never lived in Highbrow areas except for when I go visit my cousin once in a blue moon.
& ive had the accent since the time I could pronounce A or B
I learn and pick up other languages and cultural value very very fast.... so having an accent depends on if the individual is faking it or not....


Last note; What U said about the newscaster is true. Her name is Adaure Achumba... she is a Rihanna look alike. Used to anchor early morning programme with Victoria Pepple & Iretiola Doyle & she casts the news at night on Silverbird. She now work in BBc or I think its affiliate in Oyekan Drive, Ikoyi....

As far as i am concern,nobody has shown how tatoo glorifies God.

Well, I haven't benefited that much from this section. I started frequenting my visits here only a few weeks or months ago. But there are some vital lessons I have learned.

The tithe issue, which I had always suspected as being extraneous, was thoroughly dealt with here by fellow thinking and probing Christians. How tithe was smuggled into our current dispensation remains a world wonder. Brethren presented their claims with Scriptures hitherto unknown to me, thereby prompting me to search the Bible more.

Apart from this, it's being war between the Christians and the Atheists. These two groups are always at loggerheads, and this acrimony is negatively impacting a section that should otherwise direct men to Christ.

The Atheists arguments are sometimes even gaining grounds against the Christians. The terrible conditions of the religious Nigerians have further strengthened the Atheists belief in the nonexistence of God.

And it's as if more people are coming closer to Atheism than Christianity. This is purely due to the insulting, impudent, impatient and hollow behaviours of most Christians, I mean, churchgoers.

For us to reverse this tide, we must show love and understanding to the Atheists; humbly give up on them.when we can't stand their often superior arguments; we should study our Bibles more, and most importantly, convert our frequent church visits to improve the morality of our nation. If we can't transform our society despite all our religion, then it's vain.

Also,I'm also disillusioned with the whole religion scam. I would have also quit it if not for the personal revelations Christ has given me.

Lastly, our GOS and other big pastors are not helping matters. Their departure from the path of humility has made it more difficult for us to gain say our opponents.

Nigerian Christians, wake up.
